Definitely a value for money, although little pricey due to the Cuffe Parade area it is well worth the money. Jiva Spa is expensive so we researched and went to another local spa in the area. The room was clean and comfortable. Pool was clean. Service overall was good. One note though, try to get a room away from wedding parties or above the bar. For either reason, we were kept awake past 2AM due to loud music.

Bed could've been softer, I complained after the first night, they said they would change to a softer mattress but that didn't happen. Service could've been better, the duty manager asked me if I wanted tea while I was checking in, I told him I was in a rush, he said he could get it right away, but it took at least 10 minutes after I checked in and got up to the room. Also, they took both my bags (and then delivered them late -- they apologized, but still if you know I'm in a rush - deliver them quickly -- it really isn't that hard).

We were looking for a place to relax and regroup after quite a bit of travel. Our train to Mumbai arrived early and we were hoping to just leave our bags as we were quite a bit earlier than the stated check in time. Instead, (I’m so sorry I can’t remember his name) went above and beyond and helped to find us a room that was almost ready and arranged for tea and coffee while we waited (only about 30 minutes). Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and exactly what we had been hoping for. We only stayed for one night, but definitely wished it had been for more, and would recommend a stay here anytime.

I was not able to crank down the thermostat. Had to sleep in cold. Checkout took longer than expected, even tough there was no one in front.

The rooms. 8 The stay at Vivanta by Taj President was very good from the point of airport pick up and check in to the point of check out. The customer service was excellent and all our requirements were attended to with utmost care. We had most of our meals at the Trattoria restaurant and although the buffet breakfast could have had a wider selection of dishes the ala carte Italian food served during lunch and dinner was excellent. The staff at the restaurant were also very attentive.
