Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. First room poor but management helpful & resolved

Good after room changed & initial problems resolved. Steeply sloping site is a bit of a problem as is remoteness from main beaches, shops etc. although free shuttle service helps but an extra shuttele in early evenings would help.

The hotel is located very high up on a mountain. Driving up there was very scary and the entrance wasn't very easy to find. I spent 10 minutes looking for the hotel.
When I first arrive, I was first greeted rudely by one of the hotel staff as he thinks I'm a chauffeur. His attitude quickly changed once he realized i'm a guess. Service was generally nice but you can easily tell that it's all fake. Fake smiles, fake politeness. One of the guy offered to park my rental car. I saw him spinning the wheels as he tries to back up hill.

Had a two night stay in Mantra from 18th-20th May 2013 with my boyfriend and parents. We were all impressed by the view of our room and the 'fresher' air on the hilltop.
We got ourselves a Wow and Cozy room, and we concluded that cozy room is definitely more value-worthy.
Services of the staff were superb. Recommended us where is the nicest and most authentic local thai food, tour us around the hotel. The best part is the room service is fast and efficient, came to our room within 5 minutes of our request. Free buggy (exciting) rides up and down to-and-fro our rooms and lobby.
*Impressed by the driving skills of their driver.
Excellent shuttle from Mantra resort to Bophut and Chaweng. Save you lots of transportation fee!!!
Best recommend to rent a bike or car if you would travel around Samui island, but beware the route to Mantra is really steep.
Love my stay in Mantra =)

everything was great apart maybe the location of hotel: expensive transportation and very limited free shuttles from the hotel to chaweng or lamai which are the center spots for nightlife.

Mantra was located at the top of the hill,
its a bit hard to find when you drive yourself.
But its really beautiful
especially the infinity pool!

The Mantra was beautiful and had amazing views from rooms and food was great but pricey. The staff were very good but the hotel is in hills and cannot get anywhere unless you have transport, the hotel has shuttles but should really have them going every few hours as there is a big gap, particularly at Chewang.
We loved the hotel for quietness and the food.
If you want a nice relaxing hotel with top quality choose this but eat out food very pricey as but quality in every bite.
