A good place for a stop over

I think most people stay in Surat as a stop over to Koh Samui. This hotel is pefect for that. Well located in the centre of Surat. A clean hotel and very cheap. The room was nothing special but OK for the money. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Not a lot to do in Surat, we struggled to find a restaurant/bar but OK for one night. A good place to buy gold it seemed almost every other shop was a gold shop.

Can't expect more by paying this very cheap price. Room abit creepy and the tape water come with weird smell. Others are okay, staff are friendly too.

An Ideal Hotel in Surat Thani

I definitely wouldn't ask for more. This is definitely the most ideal hotel in Surat Thani town for a stop over either you're on the way or coming back from the island. We just stayed for a night to catch a morning flight to Kuala Lumpur. It have everything that we need from a clean and comfortable room, near to a night market and etc.
We even received a warm welcome on a small blackboard upon check in and a postcard as a thank you note once check out.
Not to mentioned that they even provide us a map to guide you to the nearest eating place and other attraction around Surat Thani. Do ask them about the airport shuttle services which is within a walking distances (400m) from hotel with a price of 100 baht.

Staff was beyond great, attentive, helpful. Room is absolute value for money.

AWESOME!!
We had a late train and as a result only arrived at 2am. They were waiting there for us even at a late time and was very kind to us.
There was a personalized welcome note on the front of the hotel and upon checkout there is also a handwritten thank you note. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL ENOUGH!

The room is in about center of the town and close to shopping malls, some attractions and market for foods. The hotel has no elevator and not quiet.

We chose My Place based on these reviews for a one night stopver between Samui and a northbound train the next day. We were completely satisfied with the location, comfort and size of the room, and friendliness of the staff. It is quiet inside despite being in the center of everything- including a fantastic night market 2 blocks away where you can find anything Thai to eat you could desire. Past experiences in Surat Thani for us haven't always been so great, but My Place changed that and we would be happy to stay there again if we were passing through. Hghly recommended!
