The location was decent, right next to the cathedral and within short walking distance to Plaza Catalunya. Staff was friendly and although their English wasn't very good. But at least they were willing to help when we had issues (e.g. wifi not working, hair dryer broken, etc). On the downside, there are a number of bars next to the hotel and it could get quite noisy at night since Spaniards don't seem to go to bed till very late hours (2am'ish). If you are a person sensitive to noise at night, this hotel may not be the right choice for you.

Great staff at the reception, really trying to be super nice and helpful (maybe I was just lucky with this one guy ;-). Rooms are not big, windows not big either. Nice furnitures, modern and comfy. We were given a very big room with a big bed. The bathroom was very nice and neat.There are tea and coffee making facilities, too unlike the other hotels that are more expensive yet than cathedral hotel.Upon arrival, we immediately knew what to do and where to go because of the very helpful infos the hotel ataff have given us.WE haven't tried their food and dining service but there are a lot of restaurants and cafes surrounding the hotel. Not to mention also its location, the gothic area where there are a lot of shops. Money exchange is just in the corner.And foremost, the cathedral is just about 200 meters from the hotel. The picasso museum is also close. You have to try the tourist bus of the city which has a very close stop to the hotel. The plaza catalunya, la rambla and other areas are walking distance from the hotel. what i like most is at night, we were not disturbed at all by any noise because of its quiet location despite the very busy area with so many tourists surrounding it. The cathedral's bell can be heard but didn't bother us at all. I would love to stay in that hotel when we go back to barcelona.It's all within reach from the hotel.

Taxi rank and tourist bus stops only 5 minutes walk away. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly and were able to recommend good restaurants. The Executive room was clean and well furnished with a good sized bathroom. As we were room only we did not eat in the Restaurant. The pool area is well presented and very clean. Would recommend this hotel to anyone that cares about locations, for it is situated at one of the most beautiful areas in Barcelona. The hotel also offers Wednesday and Sunday local sight tours which was very informative in order to get to know a bit about the history of the area.
