The only good thing was a view from the Restaurant. I had to change my room because the toilet broke down. Breakfast was not prepared on time and content of it was very poor. Hot water came on and off during the shower. The worst part is that the staff of this hotel doesn't understand English. It was worst hotel in my life and I would recommend brand name hotel for bit more price!!!(hotel wasn't that cheap)

The only plus is the location

what should I say about the hotel. First the pros - its located in the center of sultanachmed area - so perfect location for exploring the historic center.
now the other side:
when i was checking in there was a maintenance guy working on the toilet - it was in real strange condition - broken from the wall with apiece of metal laid under that it not falls from the wall. the main bad thing was that the flush was not working. Second the minibar was locked. Third - there was no shower carpet in the bathroom and no hanger for the shower - you had to hold the showerhead, complete bathroom flooded after inconvenient shower.
the breakfast - i dont want to lose words about.
This is not a 4 Star standard, in Europe this Hotel is max. 2 stars.

Great Location
Worst Service I have ever encountered.

this is extremely over rated hotel. the breakfast was the worst anyone can ever imagine. the food for breakfast is available only for 10 person maximun and it was stale. the worst room service. there is only one cleaning lady ane bell boy for the entire hotel. they clean the room once every three days. this hotel is a daylight robbery. i wouldn't recommend anyone to stay in this hotel unless they want to make big mistake.

Great location but not very helpful service

The location of this hotel is great but we were unfortunate with the room - there were problems with the lights in the bathroom, deposit safe and one of the plugs didn't work. It took them more that 1 day to fix these, only after my boyfriend got really annoyed with their sluggishness. Also the choice of food for breakfast was not really good. I would recommend to stay there only for a day or two as I'm sure there are better hotels around.

Dreadful Hotel!
The rooms were clean and it's close to the main attractions.

This is rated as a 4 1/2 star but in no way is it anywhere near that rating. The service was dreadful, the breakfast was awful and we seriously wondered if it was fresh each day. We had to ask for milk for breakfast. eggs were boiled and if you asked for an omelette they said it was extra. The coffee was from a machine and most days that did not work. When the one staff member was around they ignored you.
There was a power cut whilst we were there for 3 days and no effort was made to light the stairs which were pitch black and had loose carpets.
The hotel only appeared to have about 5 staff who did everything.
I did see other tourists who complained and were threatening to leave.
Our key card didn't work and they broke into our room with a screw driver! After that they had a key that would work and expected us to call someone every time we wanted to go into our room and were surprised when we asked to move rooms!

Okay for Budget travelers; fantastic location

Starting with the positive
- Fantastic location just minutes from Agia Sophia and Sultanahmet mosque (Blue Mosque). Very close to the tram line too
- The staff was very friendly and we met at least 3 employees who spoke English (another reviewer mentioned otherwise, so maybe there is high turnover)
- We were fasting during Ramadan and they did prepare a small suhoor breakfast for us at 3:30 am
- The price was very reasonable at about US $90 per night (end of July weekend stay during Ramadan)
- The bathroom was huge (about 5 meters x 4 meters) and had a nice jacuzzi style bath tub which our 3 year old thoroughly enjoyed splashing around in.
Now with the negative; this is definintely not a 4 star rating Trip Advisor establishment. Maybe 2 or 2.5 at best
- The breakfast was appauling. The cucumbers appeared to be a few days old and other items just didn't smell right (and I have an adventurous palette) and even didn't look nice. It was definitely not fresh. The milk was curdled one morning as well. So be careful if you expect more than jam and bread.
- The maid staff 'forgot' to clean our room Saturday afternoon. Not helpful if you are only there 2 days.
- This is one of those hotels where the AC shuts off when you remove your key card. The small unit near the door takes about 15-20 minutes to recool the room when you return.
- The Wi-fi internet was not working at all despite asking for the router near our door to be fixed/replaced (there were no illuminated lights on the ultra-cheap repeater which was clearly non-functional) which is a pity. Connection in the lobby was so-so

Perfect location
The location is best if you want to see the old part of Istanbul. The view from the breakfast terrace is terrific.

The overall impression of the hotel is quite good considering the price and the location. Breakfast is not overwhelming but still quite ok. The room are clean and the staff was helpful in organizing airport transportation. I didn't use the facilities so can't comment. I enjoyed my time there.
