Akihabara hotels & places to stay

Within walking distance to Akihabara (less than 200m to Yodobashi Camera, if you're familiar with the area, you can estimate distances). There's a convenience store, various eateries and the train stations (JR Yamanote and Metro) all within 100m. The place itself, this is/has to be a new establishment, given the looks of it. Minimalist look, white and clean. The lobby is a shared living space with couches, a bartop, kitchen and sink for all to use. Stayed in a double bed room. Comfortable, rather spacious given what one would normally expect in Tokyo hotels. You can find in the room, a TV with local stations, air-conditioned and air purifier provided. Wifi is provided for free and bedroom slippers. Take note, towels are not included in the room, so either you bring your own towels or you can rent from the lobby (200JPY a towel if I remember correctly). Finally, the staff. Superb, young crew. Can converse in English well. Will stay here again.

This place is perfect: value for money, near Okachimachi station (go to Haneda airport and Narita), near Akihabara station. The place is near central Akihabara and quiet place to stay there. It's just 5 minutes walk to Akihabara. Near this hostel there are some good restaurat: sukiya (cheap), royal host, McDonald, ramen shop and etc. The staffs is very helpful and kind. You also can put your lugaage after check out and only pay 100 yen. If you are looking anime toys, electronics, second hand camera. This place is good to stay.

２回目の利用もドミトリールームに滞在しましたが冷房も効いていましたし暑がりの私にはとても良かったです！^^ シャワーが4つあるシャワールームにも24時間冷房がきいてあって有難かったです。 you can feel comfortable staying at little japan even in the summer season. i personally prefer to stay in a dormitory room, but before stayin i worried about if the room would have a moderate air conditioning or none. staying at little japan is the best place also in summer. there’re air conditioners in ur rooms, free space and the shower room:) rooms and showers are clean that i could see the staffs always take care. morning staff and late time staffs differ but all of them are very kind. everything definitely recommended:))

Lovely welcoming staff, rooms and facilities cleaned daily, optional breakfast included (simple toast and beverages). Very close to Jimbocho station which is a convenient trainline for getting to Shibuya, and not far from Akihabara. Private rooms and shared dormitories are available, and we were able to book just one week in advance which was a lifesaver. I'll be staying here next time I'm in Tokyo!

The location is great!! Near JR Station Kanda and can be reached within walk distance. For all of you who are intending to roam around Akihabara, I think 9Hours Kanda is the best choice. I spent 9 nights there and whenever I went to Akihabara, I just walked from the hotel. You can find many restaurants nearby like Sukiya, Matsuya, Soba Restaurants, Izakayas, even Starbucks. There are also 7-Eleven and Family Mart nearby. The capsule pod itself is spacious but you have to be quiet, and the only negative side of this hotel is the locker room. Since big luggage can't be put inside your locker, you have to go back and forth to the reception desk to get your luggage and since the space in the first floor isn't big enough, it's quite hard for you to pack up your stuff.

I was here with 3 of my friends. We booked the private room that had 4 beds in a bunk style, private toilet and shower. Nice cosy little room. Place has 2 common spaces and the one at the top floor has a kettle, microwave and fridge. My only complain is that the ladders for the bunk beds are really small so it can get annoying. About a 10min walk to Akihabara Station which is awesome. I had to use google maps to get to the station initially but after the 3rd day I could easily walk back without assistance as the route was pretty simple. It is nice and quiet but isn't too far from the main area of Akihabara. It is less crowded than Shinjuku so that's definitely a plus for me. If you are on a budget I do feel this is the best place you can get around Tokyo area. Staff speaks English :D I would like to emphasize that I am speaking for the private room only. I'm not really sure how it's like in the shared rooms.

We wanted a place not too far from train station, found this hotel and proceed with the booking almost immediately. When we arrive there, then only we realised the hotel is really strategically located! It's very near to electronic town of Akihabara so we get to survey around, hunting for more action figurines. And what's more surprising is the restaurant near by hotel are so awesome! We saw a ramen shop that's always filled with the locals, so we decided to try. And guess what, that's the best ramen I have ever tasted in Japan! Everyday we would choose a place to hang out around the hotel and it's never a dull moment - such satisfaction after a full day out is the best thing in the world :) I'll definitely stay in the same place if I ever visit Akihabara again.

the location is really great. its very close to akihabara and also you can easily walk up to ueno or even tokyo station. a really great base to explore tokyo from. the rooms are clean and beds are japanese style futons/bunkbeds. there are only two showers which isnt great if the place is fully occupied. some of the lockers cant be locked. the staff were nice and really helpful. there are vending machines by the front door.

Stayed for 7 nights here for a university business trip. Pros: Direct access to both airport (Haneda and Narita) via Kenkyu Line without transfer. Walking distance to Akihabara (around 8-10 minutes). Great alley of cheap foods just beside the Asakusabashi station. Nearby 7/11 and Sunkus. Helpful English-speaking staffs. Have both Subway and JR station nearby (Asakusabashi station) with direct access to Shinjuku and Akihabara. Cons: The wifi is good but can be better especially in 3rd floor. Notes to guest-to-be: They rent towels for 100 yen per stay, and sell toothbrush for 100 each. No need to bring your own padlock for locker. Not for light sleeper, expect a hostel stay. Notes to accommodation: It would be nice if you offer change of linen after 3-4 days if the guest stays for a long time.

Though I stayed virtually about only 7 hours in the hostel, I am impressed with the setup and the atmosphere of the hostel. I like the Japanese dorm especially and that's one of reasons why I picked up this hostel from the Agoda list and since I have hurt my leg, I have problem of an upper deck bed which is common in most hostels. Everything is fine except one thing which I would like to bring up for further improvement of the hostel. I came very late to the hostel, just about 10 minutes before the counter closed. Out of my expectations, I was assigned to an upper deck bed as what I booked was a bed in a Japanese room. Fortunately, although it has been after office hour, I am able to find the hostel staff to change the room. Thanks for his help. Anyway, I hope the hostel is more attentive to the booking details as the guest may have special reasons for choosing the room type.

This is a nice new hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was modern and clean. The hotel was little off the beaten track but easy enough to find. It was a short and interesting walk from Okachimachi Station on the Yamanote line. It's in an interesting area and handily located for walking to Ueno and Akihabara, short train ride to Asakusa and the Skytree. The room was on the small side, although fairly typical for the Japanese hotels I've stayed in. I had a twin and two suitcases would take some dodging around. Not really any views to speak of from either my room or my travelling companion's room on the floor below. I wouldn't say it was the best value Japanese hotel I've stayed in but I would consider staying there again.

This place is not far from Akihabara Station (about 500 m.). And near a shopping zone included a lot of restaurants. In front of hotel have a JR railway, it might be noisy a little bit. A room size isn't wide (I stayed in 6-pax room with 4 people), but not uncomfortable. (Who had an experience in dormitory will not have a problem in this place) A weakpoint of this hotel have 2 point 1) One of upper bed (Bunk bed) in my room is under an air-conditioner (very close). So if someone laid on there, he might be careful when he wake up. 2) A warm-cool water system in bathroom. When I take a bath with warm water, a few minute later, a system will stop working and change warm water be a cold water in a blink (I came from a tropical country so it's very cold in Japan). I have to waited in a minute for warm water system come back to work again, so I can continues take a bath. At last, I recommend this hotel when you travel with a group of friend. Cause this place is cheap, near major station, and shopping area in Akihabara.

Location is good. 5 mins away from nearest train station. Can take both JR and Metro. Nearby have 24-hr convenience stores (7-11, Family Mart, Lawson) and restaurants. Nice staff at front desk. A bit old decoration but still comfortable to stay. Room size is good enough. If you are a fans of Japanese TV show or animate, please note that the choise of TV channels are limited (terrestrial television boardcast only) Acoustic issue needed to be awared, as many Japanese building have thin strusture. But overall cp ratio is very high. Recomended to traveller with limited budget but wish to stay in a hotel with some more private instead of capsule or hostel.

I am happy that we picked this hotel. The location is so convenient. It’s near both JR and subway stations. When I say near, it’s just about 250m away. There’s a lot of convenience stores near it. The hotel is also near izakayas and other food spots. It’s around a kilometer from Akihabara and 2 train stations from Asakusa. Plus there’s a train that goes straight to and from Narita and Haneda that stops in the Asakusabashi subway station. It really is convenient. Checking in and checking out was very easy. Personally I just find the robots a little creepy but it still gives a nice novelty to the hotel. I like the free baggage port they have where you can leave your baggage so you can start roaming around when you arrive earlier than the 3pm check-in time or if you still have a lot of time before your flight. Another amazing thing in this hotel is that they can lend you a mobile phone with free internet. However, you can only use the phone for selected apps, mostly for researching and navigating around the metro. You can’t use it for social media and tethering. They have wi-fi though. The room is small but it really wasn’t an issue. I actually expected it to be small since space is very valuable in Tokyo. I loved the bathroom. Maybe it is a little too tiny for Westerners but it’s fair enough for Asians. I will definitely recommend other people to stay in this hotel.

My stay in Akihabara hotel is perfectly nice. Although I and my friend could not communicate with the staffs well. They tried their efforts to talk to us so that we could get what they mean. In between my staying period, my friend accidentally lost her passport , we were so blank and did not know what to do. And luckily one of the staff can speak Chinese and I am able to communicate with her smoothly. The staffs gave a lot of support to us, such as giving a call to relevant Embassy and pointing the nearest police station to us. Even after the incident, they followed up with us. We are so grateful for their helpful actions. Words cannot express our gratitude and appreciation to them for helping us in such an emergency situation.

Hotel is actually close to Akihabara area (closer than Akihabara station in some parts of Akihabara like Don Quijote). It is also near a lot train stations, so very convenient. The room is a bit small. Good for 1 person with one large luggage. I brought 1 large and 1 hand-carry; did not have space for the hand-carry. Staff are nice and friendly, but very strict with the check-in time.

As most of Tokyo hotels, the rooms are small here, yet, very clean with all the essential requirements. There is an access to the microwave and ice machines. The rooms does not have a view as it's in the middle of buildings. The location is the amazing thing for this hotel, you just need to cross one street to reach Akihabara station. And of course Akihabara area is all around the hotel, especially Yodabashi. The staff is so nice in directing us to any place we ask about. And they even provided us with an English map of Akihabara with the streets names and the main shops. We didn't try the restaurant here as we had fun trying out the cafe around the hotel and inside Akihabara station.

This hotel is very close to the Akihabara area of Tokyo, only about 1km walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful during my stay. There were several different train stations/subway lines within 2km of the hotel which I used to see other parts of Tokyo. The room was small but it's Tokyo so I imagine all hotel rooms are going to be small unless you're spending $$$$ on a 4-5 star hotel. It was nicely decorated and equipped. They have a self-serve washer and dryers on the 3rd floor which made it easy for me to do laundry while traveling. I would definitely stay there again if I were ever to visit Tokyo again.

This was an excellent place to stay. The room is extremely beautiful and clean, and there is even a mini-fridge for you to keep any drinks you buy (and Tokyo has a lot of different kinds of drinks to begin with). The whole place felt very comfortable and it had quite a modern feel to it (in the lift, to get to your floor, you simply tap your room card onto a sensor and it automatically selects your floor). There are ice/cold water vending machines on each floor as well. When we checked in, there was apparently some kind of promotion going on, because they gave us a selection of beauty/cosmetic products (such as eye-masks, bath salts etc) for free! That was a nice touch. Additionally, the hotel also gives you one set of pajamas each day so you have something comfortable to change into. The location is magnificent. It is located near Akihabara (JR line) and Suehirocho (Tokyo Metro) stations, definitely walk-able even with heavy luggage. Even though it is near Akihabara station, it is on a quiet street so it is not near all the busy anime goods stores/maid cafes etc. Nice and quiet!

The hotel is clean and nice. The room is small as normal japanese room. I booked for a single room . There are queen size of bed , all equipment but no closet. Not more than 2 ppls can stay in this room. The service are good but staff cannot speak well english. I didn't try the restaurant because it close at 15.00 but there is a lots of good dining around there. You can walk along the road and find many ramen and japanese place. Overall it is reach my satisfaction. The location is quite far from shinjuku, shibuya but you can take a subway there for 4-6 stops. Good place to see cherry blossom becuase there is a park and shrine very close to the kudanshita station. I like this hotel , resonable price and good service.
