Wonderful desert island and seamless experience ”
We stayed 2 nights and had a wonderful time here. After a 2.5 hours drive from Abu Dhabi, check in at the Anantara jetty was seamless - drop your car, they collect your luggage, and enjoy a cold drink at the lounger while waiting of the ferry to the island. Check in was swift and our room was nice with a view of the pool/beach. We tried all 3 restaurants during our stay - our favourite was Savannah. Ms Delilah, Mr Abbas and the whole team made our experience wonderful. Our favourite were the steak salad and ribeye. It was so good we came back for the Boma (bbq buffet) the next night. We also enjoyed the safari drive - managed to spot more than 10 different species : giraffe, ostrich, gazelle, elon, cheetah etc. Check out was also seamless - thanks to Shazun at the front desk who arrange a late check out and also communicate with the valet so when we arrived, our car was waiting or us. Brilliant seamless service! Overall, we love it and highly recommended!

We had the most wonderful stay, better than any other place we've been to in the UAE! From the moment we arrived, the staff provided outstanding service to make us feel welcome. They greeted us with a boat ride from the ferry station, helped us with our luggage, and even provided refreshing drinks. Once we reached the island, a van drove us off to the resort. We had mentioned that it was my husband's birthday in the booking, and the staff had kindly decorated our bed and prepared a birthday cake, which was incredibly thoughtful. They even surprised us with a room upgrade and allowed early check in, making our stay even more special. The island offers delightful activities like a jeep safari and a nature walk, where you can see animals roaming freely in their nature reserve. I was also impressed by their commitment to the environment, as they use glass bottles instead of plastic, helping to protect the ocean and animals in the island. The food was exceptional. Every meal was delicious, and the service at the Savannah Grill, especially by the filipino manager and his team, was outstanding. Getting around the island was a breeze with the helpful staff always ready to get us a van. We enjoyed seeing gazelles, hyraxes, cats, and various birds freely roaming near our dining spots and hotel. We cherished every moment of our stay and are eagerly looking forward to returning.

I visited this resort 12 years ago and had a wonderful experience, there are lits of things to do on the Island, so if you enjoy doing outdoor sport i recommend staying at less 4 nights here. Activities on the Island can be a bit pricey to some, but considering the average room price they charge and the amazing entertainment they need to upkeep on this island. I felt all my spending was a bargain. I had my first sail lesson here 12 years ago but sadly they do not offer that anymore, which is a pity considering what a perfect location for doing any sort of boating there. I also wish they can explore a wider range of activities to offer visitors so to attract more customers. We will be back again.

It's a pretty remote hotel, however the safari experience, boat ride and island vibes make the trip worth it. The resteraunts are not that great, we got some hair in our food in one of them and the restaurant itself did not look that clean. The beach isn't that well maintained either. That being said we had a lot of fun and it is surely an experience we will remember , walking amongst the Giraffes and and driving along side the gazelles was a once in a lifetime experience.
