Amazing location - for beach/nightlife”
We paid peanuts to stay at this place, which was comfortable enough with a fridge and good aircon, and had a cute pool. But the key thing for us was the location: cross the road and you are at ARK bar, the best beach bar in Samui, 2 mins down the road to the biggest clubs and bars of Samui, and yet by virtue of being just tucked down a side street, it is nowhere near as noisy as it could be - v easy to get a good night's sleep after a big night out! Myriad restaurants within 5 mins walk. Beach on your doorstep. When we lost our key, we had to run around trying to find a member of staff in the middle of the night - in the end, she found us and returned the key we had left at a ferry booking shop across the road! She was absolutely lovely about it. Speaking of which - v easy to book ferry transfers from nearby; can get taxi to nearby port included in the (v reasonable) price for ferries to koh tao etc. Takes about 10 mins in cab from airport (20 in traffic!). Really reocmmened it for young travellers/fun couples/groups of friends - maybe not for families, as it is located just behind a Cabaret show! Ha.

Very cheap and central hotel”
The girl who works most of the day in the reception speaks very fluent English and are very nice and helpful. There is a simple pool next to the reception, the poolbar looked like it haven't been opened for a century though. The hotel itself was very fresh considering the price, and are located right in the centrum of the nightlife in Chaweng. Can be hard to sleep early due to the music that are played nearby long into the night.

Perfect location for beach and nightlife”
I have stayed at anong on a couple of occasions and would definately go back. It's pretty basic and rough around the edges but the rooms are a good size. It has a nice pool which seems to be empty every time I'm there, probably because it's so close to the beach. I would recommend this to people on a budget or groups of friends or singles who want to enjoy the nightlife as the bars and clubs are just a very short walk. Be warned though, if you don't go out you may have trouble sleeping over the noise of the Green Mango!!

location is superb rooms are big reception girl is very helpful you just 2 minutes from beach it is literally in the centre of the town. if you are a party animal not coming to your room before 3am it great but if you are early bird you might find the hard to sleep since it is next door the all the clubs and bars. the money you pay and hotel is great value if i go back to samui again i sure will stay there again

Cheap but noisy”
We spent 2 nights in Anong. The room is very basic with fan and cold shower. At the busiest part of Chaweng Beach, in a small alley of lady boy cabaret. It's super noisy in the night until 3am everyday. To be specific, it's because of the base from a club that makes the sleep very uncomfortable. Other than that, everything is fine. The staff is nice and kinda helpful. Due to it's cheap in that area, still recommend it but you need to be able to sleep no matter what.

very basic, not very clean. in the center”
The room I was in was a fan room. very basic room and not very clean. If you're on a budget and out all day and you just need a place to sleep at night, this guest house is just fine. It is close to everything, right in the center. However I must mention that there are other kinds of rooms there and i've seen one that was much better than the one I was in. If you pay just a bit more you can get much better rooms in Anong Guesthouse.

A simple, inexpensive hotel at the heart of Chaweng. Perfect for crashing after a night out, otherwise bring earplugs. Stayed for 3 nights on a fan room. Spacious, bright and clean. Only con would be the lack of mosquito net. Mixed feelings regarding the staff. Girl at reception was delightful. Other pros: wifi and swimming pool.

Smack in the middle of chaweng”
Great location! Right in the heart of chaweng beach. But off the main road enough that it was quest for sleeping. Front receptionist very kind and helpful, nice pool and gym. Comfy bed and good a/c. Would definitely stay here again

It is what it is...”
Annong Guesthouse is good for one thing and one thing only. The party scene. Do not expect to come here and have a nice relaxed stay. Especially around high season. If you are planning to stay out till the early hours every day then this is the perfect place since its located infront of Ark bar and a few doors down from the Green Mango. The price however is hard to beat and the female receptionist is top class. She is fluent in English and will do what she can to make sure you have a good stay. I have stayed here various times and i'm a big fan. But please be weary of the noise levels if staying with children.

Central budget hotel”
Great value for money, large clean room, thai standard bathroom, a bit dark as the buildings are close to each other. Good location for Chaweng nighlife in a small cul de sac next to the Moulin Rouge Cabaret, but has its downsides as well: the music from the neighboring nightclubs make the room vibrate until 2-3 am and the hotel is right in the way of Samui airport's landing runway. But first plane is only coming in at 9:30 am, so it is bearable. Beach is about 3 minutes walk.

Great budget place with great people!”
I really loved this place! Centrally located, 3 min. walking to the beach (at ARK Bar free chairs and umbrellas, and fire shows every night!). Anong is very close to Green Mango so u feel like u have the party in your room, it's very loud till 3am. There is many backpackers traveling solo, so u always will find new friends. If u are looking for a place to easily reach beaches, clubs and restaurants and u wanna meet awesome people, u will be happy! Staff was friendly, wasn't speaking English but was smiling a lot :) MOST IMPORTANT: don't take the room with fan! u will die! Pay a little bit more and take air-con.

Low end hotel, cheap and clean”
we stayed here for2 nights, which was enough. if you want a very cheap place which was clean, then stay here, but be warned the hotel is right in tje middle of chaweng night life and the booming of music went on un til 5am. i think if you drink enough chang beer and samsong buckets you will not notice it. the staff are not paticularly helpful and on arrival the thai guy was not aware og our agoda reservation. he then had to find the manager who showed him what to do.

the is the second time i have stayed here , i would get an air con or a fan room with hot water , its in a great location but its very noisy if you stay on the top floors so ground floor is best , its basic , clean and good for cheap accommodation , the staff are lovely , its a no frills hotel so don't expect too much but if you want a great location with comfortable bed then go for it !

Right across the road from arc bar so it's in a really good location, softest sheets I had felt in a while after travelling SE Asia for 8 months, bed was comfortable and it was reasonably priced for samui

Really basic”
Rooms are very basic. Our first room didnt have a glass in window which was strange but we didnt have any problem to change a room. Smell wasnt very nice but i cant complain for that price (400 thb in chaweng beach is really cheap). I havent used a swimming pool but it looked quite clean. Wifi is only close to the reception so ask for a room close to there, so you will have a chance to use the internet in your room.

Cheap, centrally located hotel.”
I personally liked this hotel because it was cheap and comfortable. Right next door to the best night club in the area! Easy access to the beach with restaurants and bars all alround...what else could you ask for?!? The hotel staff were easy going, my room was big with a fridge, fan, and private bathroom...I would definately go back to this hotel!

After we had a few days in this guest house, we went Phangan and came back out for another night, I mention that the place is suitable for young and cheap and not suitable for families. Simple budget hotel in the heart of Chaweng's core. Perfect crashing after night, or bring earplugs. There are mosquitoes in the area. Mixed feelings about the team. The girl at reception was lovely. Other advantages: wifi and blessing lived a very cheap place clean, but warned the hotel is right in the middle tje Chaweng's nightlife and music continued flourishing of an til 5:00. I think if you drink enough beer Chang and buckets samsong you have not noticed it

I was impressed from the start, friendly relaxed, and value for money budget accomotation..! Only down side was it's close to all the nightlife, so a little noisy at times, but you have to expect that staying so close... 10/10

Average guesthouse”
It was an average stay. The check in was fast even though we arrived at 7am and we had a clean room with a tv, fridge and large bed, also towels were provided. It was a 5minute walk to the beach and 2 minutes to the bars and restaurants however set back enough to sleep ok, still a bit of noise. Negatives were that the fan wasn't sufficient (we have stayed in many fan rooms and this one got exceptionally hot due to its location), the pool was dirty, there appeared to be lots of families in neighbouring rooms living there rather then staying for a holiday, the door was very flimsy and there was no security locker, An ok stay for one night, not comfortable long term,
