I arrived early and was able to leave my luggage. I lost my passport at the station, but they called and helped me find it. Thank you so much. I stayed for 4 nights and they cleaned the room every 3 nights, but they provided fresh towels, amenities, and robes every day. There are many convenience stores nearby (3 Family Marts, 1 Seven Eleven, and 1 Lawson). The Nishi-Shinjuku-Gochome Station is a 3-minute walk away, and I even walked to Shinjuku Station without luggage. Check-out was also easy with card return. I will definitely visit again when I come to Tokyo next time!

APA Hotel is a hotel that can be found in any travel destination in Tokyo. The strength of the Akita Tower branch is that guests can use the large hot spring bath. Guests can use the hot spring every day to relieve their travel fatigue. The amenities are also generously provided and replenished daily. Although the soundproofing of the rooms is not great, it is not particularly uncomfortable. The hotel has good accessibility as the station is nearby, depending on the transportation pass. Personally, I think it is possible to walk to Shinjuku Station, but it may be difficult in the middle of summer. I think the hot spring facilities are excellent, so I highly recommend it to individual travelers.

Cute Rooms but Great Overall”
The rooms are tiny but surprisingly, it has is packed with the essentials sich as toilettries and coffee/tea (supplies which they replenish daily), bedroom slippers, robes, clean towels, bathtub with shower, bidet, air filter/cleaner in the room, hair dryer, aircon, TV, water heater (kettle), etc. Though the note says that they change linens every three days only, however, they do make up your room daily if you put the sign on the door; otherwise they hang plastic bag of fresh towels and supplies on your door. Staff (cleaners) are very helpful. Front desk staff courteous. But every adjustment really comes with a fee (like if you would like to have 2 separate beds etc). Location is near the subway station, but not near the main Shinjuku area. The area is a usual/common area where taxis pass by so it is easy to flag a taxi. Taxi fare from hotel to the Keio Department Store (main Shinjuku area) is about 1,100 Yen (taxi can seat 4 passengers); subway is about 260 yen per person. The hotel is one of those included in the Yanamoto Transport that offers luggage checkin service from airport to hotel. This service is useful for those arriving in Tokyo and would like to head off somewhere else (like to go shopping or visit the place right away) instead of going to the hotel to leave their luggage. We did not know this prior to our visit; we learned about this when we were already in the hotel because of a brochure about it found in the rooms. As to the rooms, they are really tiny. To the point that a guest (several rooms away from us) had to lay open her big luggage on the hallway and pack her stuff there outside of her room 🙂 no offense meant but I think that was very resourceful of her.

This Hotel provided everything that I needed for my week stay. The room was perfect for one person. Yes, it's small and I had to be creative with my medium size luggage but everything worked out. They clean your room every third day but leave fresh towels and all the amenities you need at your door everyday. Like all Japanese hotels, they provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors, toothbrush, face towelettes, etc. There was no iron in the room but you could pick it up from front desk. There are no drawers or real storage for your clothes but they had hangers and the rest of my clothes lived in my luggage. Mini fridge with super useful I had it stocked with the juice and onigiris from the Family Mart or 7-Eleven that was nearby. The nearby train station turned out to be very convenient, it took us to Shinjuku main station and other parts of Tokyo quite easily. Also nearby is a McDonald's, Starbucks and other small restaurants. As a resort, this APA Hotel offers a lot more than other basic AP hotels, so if not choosing this APA, make sure to look for the resort in the name. Overall I would recommend or stay here again if I'll be visiting the Shinjuku area primarily. I personally found the Ginza area to be a lot more Central.
