Perfect!”

We arrived in Chau Doc with the intention of spending a night in transit at a decent hotel, have a shower, dinner, sleep and head out as quickly as possible. So wrong! Chau Doc is very underestimated and should be high on any adventurous travellers go to list. We ended up booking an extra night as soon as it became clear that this was a very special hotel in a very interesting town. The staff was exceptional, helpful in every way possible, advised us and arranged our stay to take advantage of Chau Doc. We did two private river trips, trishaw rides, dinners, and walks, all fascinating. The hotel restaurant is billed as the best in town and deservidly so. Can't say enough good about our stay at the Victoria. Great town, great hotel!

Great Stay”

Had a major visa problem at the Vietnam border coming down from Phnom Penh by boat. Was held up for 3 hours because the immigration official at HCM airport had stamped 'Cancelled' on my multiple visa then written 'Not' over the 'Cancelled' stamp when flying to Siem Reap. Finally arrived at hotel and, having been advised of my visa problem, the staff upgraded us from a street-view room to one of the best river-view rooms available. The delta views were awesome, the room was beautiful, the pool was so inviting and the hotel is certainly 5 star. Had a walk around central Chau Doc our first night and, having seen what the other hotels look like, am very grateful that I booked the Victoria. Dinner on the veranda overlooking the Mekong Delta was an absolute delight. Hotel arranged a minibus to take us to the bus station for our trip down to Can Tho. The only place I would stay in Chau Doc.

Another great Victoria !!”

After staying in the Victoria in Can Tho we came to the Victoria in Chau Doc. The uniqe at the Victoria hotels is the same hospitality, kind and friendly well English speaking staff and quality they offer. This hotel has a great location with a view over the rivers crossing. The hotel is very clean, has very good rooms and beds, bathdroom and facillity's. The breakfast buffet is great and enorm. Like in Can Tho, everybody from the staff will make you realy feel at home!! From the hotel you can make nice tripps to the floating market, flooting houses, and they have a boot service to the Victoria to Cambodia!

Beautiful hotel with historic river view”

this is a charming member of the victoria chain and with the agoda rate, while it was more than our average rate for our two months in indochina, it was worth it. however, the breakfast added $46 for two to the bill! the view of the confluence of the mekong and bassac rivers gives it an old world feel as you sit on the terrace and watch the sampans criss-cross the waterways. the pool is not enormous but is more than large enough. it was tet and the town was full of lion dancers and the hotel had a special show. the room was excellent, charmingly decorated and very comfortable with a large bathtub and as they were not full we had an upgrade. they arranged our speedboat from chau doc to phnom penh. would highly recommend the hotel, but you might want to go somewhere else for breakfast (although they do have a cappuccino machine)

Best Place in Chau Doc”

The Victoria Hotel is the best hotel in Chau Doc and a pleasure to stay. We arrived with the boat from Phnom Penh and made a charity trip to help a school for stateless childrend. The Victoria (like the Victoria hotels in Hoi An and Can Tho which we visited earlier) has a beautiful old fashioned design, friendly and helpful staff, good food. The front desk manager Yacoob and Thien from the Bassac restaurant impressed us with their attitude.

Cozy hotel right on the bank of the Mekong hotel”

This hotel with its colonial style architecture reminds me of the by gone Indochina era. The hotel locates right on the bank of the Mekong river offers beautiful and panoramic view of this mighty river! Room was large and cozy with its wooden floor and traditional decoration! The hotel has its own quay so guest can take boat to visit nearby aqua farming village and experience the lifestyle of people in the Mekong delta. This is one of the two luxury hotels in Chau doc, both of Victoria chain! Staffs here are very friendly and caring, whom we trusted to book boat tour for us.

Exceptional”

This was our 2nd time at Victoria Hotel Chau Doc. The staff were amazing, helpful & friendly. We again took Victoria Speedboats to Phnom Penh. Trang was our hostess & she was just a gem. Professional, explained landmarks along the way & smiled & interacted with the guests the whole time. 100% to Victoria Hotel

Pricey, but nice”

The dilemma in Chau Doc is there's the Victoria ($100++) and the rest of the area hotels are less than half that ... nothing in between! And while the Victoria is lovely, it's far more expensive than anything else in the area. Why is this?? Someone needs to build a good-quality, more budget friendly option.

Lovely stay in perfect rooms with a free upgrade”

this was the most luxurious hotel we stayed in during our whole journey in mekong river journey. the hotel had a great pool facility and i had the best spa experience at the hotel spa. we also had a great dining experience at the hotel restaurant. upon our journey we also had our room upgraded for free to the top room facing the mekong river. overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely stay at the hotel again if we go back to chau doc!

Chau Doc De-stress”

A beautiful hotel, located at (and in some flood years, in) the junction of two busy rivers. Our goal for this visit was to de-stress after a couple of hard months in our Phnom Penh jobs. This was certainly achieved. From the moment our boat docked and we were informed our rooms had been upgraded. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, with no requests too difficult. Rooms well appointed and beautiful views of life on the river. Children played in the pool area for hours, and are easily supervised from the surrounding seats. We had 1 bad meal. However, after consulting the staff they investigated fully with their cooks and agreed there was a problem, and gave good feedback to us. Well managed. We would like to see the dining room smoke-free as there are plentiful outdoor eating (or smoking) opportunities. Also, the hotel advertises a fitness center but this is not really functional. Chau Doc itself does not have a lot of attractions but, for us, the hotel and the river were enough for us for our 3 day stay.

My family and I had a great stay. The service, facilities, and location were excellent. The hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay at the Victoria Chau Doc in any future visits.

Great View, Friendly Staff, Comfortable Room”

We enjoyed our time at this hotel. The boat from Phnom Pehn to Chau Doc stops at the hotel making access very easy if arriving that way. The hotel was clean and run by friendly helpful people. Tours were arranged easily and quickly. Departure transportation was also quickly and easily arranged. We would recommend this hotel to all.

A pleasant surprise”

after the trip from phnom phen via river boat and not having much background knowledge of chau doc we where pleasantly surprised by a very interesting area of vietnam and also the excellent location of the hotel. Would have preferred to have spent more time here en route to flying out of Saigon rather than spending 3 days in Saigon. This is a much friendlier Place.

Great location on the riverside”

Great hotel right on the riverbank. From the luxury of your bedroom your can watch the morning unfold on the river without leaving the room. The staff were all friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble. Without dought the only luxury option in Chau Doc. Hire a scooter and explore the countryside.

Victoria Chau Doc”

A good option if you are coming up/down the Mekong delta , using the boat service P Penn/Chau Doc. Good food, spacious rooms and a pool in a small garden overlookig the river. Very helpful front desk staff , with good English , who sorted out our boat transfer to Phnnomh Penn at 5pm for 7am the following morning - ideal for those of us who plan at the last minute!

Nice hotel, great location”

Chau Doc is a small city a bit off the beaten track, not a major tourist destination. Victoria Hotel is small but very nice, highly recommended.

What a fantastic hotel - we arrived by speed boat on the quay, perfect stop in Chau Doc. Awesome view from balcony, clean, quiet, huge room, restaurant served my favourite food of the whole two week holiday.

Good location and amenities, needs updating ”

this hotel was rated as one of the best in chau doc, but it needs updating. rooms were a little musty and did not have up to date amenities. i checked into my assigned room, opened the balcony door for a second and was immediately infested by bugs. the front desk sent someone up to take care of it, but they sprayed raid all over the room making it impossible to breathe without getting a lung full of chemicals. the water pressure in this first room was terrible. the customer service is great at this hotel - they immediately changed my room. i think it was an upgraded room - bigger, nicer tv, and larger bath, but still had very poor water pressure. i needed to organize a boat transport to phnom penh for the next day and the front desk took care of it very easily. the included breakfast was quite extensive with western and asian foods available. also had a nice bar area. you might find yourself in a crowd here, since lots of tour groups use this hotel. the hotel also had a lovely swimming pool, but i didn't get a chance to use it. because of all the amenities, the hotel charges top dollar, but by asian standards, one might be able to get a much better rate by dropping down a star level.

Fantastic hotel”

This is the best hotel in Chau Doc by a very long way. A little old, but beautifully decorated and appointed. The pool is sensational after a long drive from HCMC. Food and drink are of a very high standard. The staff are always lovely and helpful. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Chau Doc.
