Astoria Palawan DID NOT MEET my expectations BUT EXCEEDED it sooo much! 🥹 We spent a week in Palawan. 4 days in el Nido and 3 days in Astoria to wrap up our Palawan experience and it was the best decision. From our arrival to our check in, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. We were warmly welcomed by about 10 staff (I think more) with a pretty handmade necklace each plus a refreshing and delicious snack. We were assisted by Kuya Domer Umlas and oriented us with all the activities that we can do in Astoria. We felt really excited and felt really taken care of. They have a lot of golf carts and e-trike to bring you to your room. Again, the room did not meet my expectations BUT exceeded it. The room was more than complete. What really made me smile was the complete kitchen. So helpful for our little family. Finally, a hotel where I can conveniently wash my son’s milk bottles and cook quick meals ❤️ The bed was so comfortable that we all slept like a baby. The room is super nice too! Every spot in Astoria is photoshoot worthy, even the bathroom!!! Haha But wait let’s talk about the food. We had breakfast and dinner buffets throughout our stay and IT WAS AMAZING. Each dish was DELiCIOUS. There are themes for every buffet. You don;t eat the same set of dishes everyday which is really exciting. and the restaurant staff??? Soooo warm and friendly 🥹 They will offer to serve you even before you ask. Their manager even approached us and our son to ask how our experience was and had a cute chat with my son about music. This is customer service above and beyond. The water park was another experience. We did not expect the wave pool which made it so cool and awesome. The slides and lazy river were cute and fun too! Nakaka amaze na may paganito for free included na sa stay mo 🥹 the only thing I’d improve is the flooring of the kiddie pool. It's sharp and nakakasugat so be extra careful. Our infinity pool and beach experience were amazing too. Lalo sa gabi ang ganda ng pools and heated kaya hindi ka giginawin. So relaxing and an absolute 5 star experience ❤️ The facilities were more than complete. There are a lot of fun things to do. Everywhere you look it’s nice and beautiful and relaxing. There are 3 pools and all of it is breathtaking! We were able to enjoy the gym too! Its not like the other hotels na “masabi lang” na may gym. In Astoria it’s complete at nakakaenganyo talaga mag gym. Sa beach naman we made friends with kuya Rafael Sumandal, yes complete name talaga because we will not forget people who go above and beyond 🥹 He became our photographer sa beach when he saw us struggling mag photo op as a family. Grabe sobrang galing mag coach ng poses at alam na alam nya yung mga spots to capture beautifully in photos. We felt like models sa photoshoot session with kuya Rafael. The check out was smooth too. They constantly check if you need anything. Clearance was given really fast. But what surprised me is kuya Domer assisting us again at check out as well making it a complete 5 star experience. We checked out at 12 but our flight back to Manila is 6pm pa so 2pm pa kami pick up ng shuttle. While waiting he assisted us back to the recreational area so we can still enjoy while waiting for our shuttle ❤️ Grabe pati videoke room nila napaka ganda at sosyal 😅 May nagbantay din sa baby namin sa play area habang nagbivideoke kami. Sobrang accommodating at ang babait nila ❤️ I did not get all their names but I remember Merridel and Beatriz because they were soooo nice and kind to my son. He did not want to leave the play area because he felt really comfortable with the staff. Astoria Palawan is now our favorite hotel. Our stay at the Astoria Palawan hotel is surely memorable. We stayed there for four days and three nights and we loved every minute of it. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the whole area was clean (both indoors and outdoors), and we loved their facilities. We arrived at Astoria around 11 AM and we expected to be checked in around 2 PM but they were able to check us in early. While waiting for the rooms, they gave us snacks and we chatted with some of their staff who provided us information about Palawan and what we can do during our stay there (huge shoutout to Kuya Arnold for being very helpful to us!). They also gave us a map of the area so that we can easily find our way around, which is really helpful because there are lots of buildings and facilities. Even though Astoria is located around an hour and a half away from the main city of Puerto Princesa, they made sure that we can entertain ourselves through their facilities. They have a waterpark (which is free for those staying in Astoria), three pools for guests to use, beach access, a spa/massage service, a gym, a recreation building where you can play various games, a playground, a mini golf area, and so much more. We loved how they made sure that guests of all ages have something to entertain themselves with during their stay there. However, our favourite was their breakfast buffet, especially their hot chocolate! They have a huge selection of food comprising of bread, viands, dessert, and so much more. Another thing we loved about Astoria is how they offer a private van and a shuttle service which can take you to and fro the city/airport for such a cheap price. It made our trip less hassle, and we loved how the driver was very helpful to us. We'll definitely stay again in Astoria Palawan! We can't wait to come back. Thank you so much, Astoria!

Exceptional View and Service”
Our stay at Astoria Hotel Resort was nothing short of exceptional. The resort is impeccably clean with a wonderful ambiance that nature lovers will truly appreciate. The surroundings are incredibly relaxing, featuring beautiful pools and a water park that offers free one-day entrance for every stay. The resort staff are incredibly accommodating and always greet you with a sincere smile. Their genuine care and hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. While the resort is located 1.5 hours away from the city proper, making it a bit far from popular tourist spots like the Underground River or Honda Bay, the hotel offers its own tours. Although these tours are priced higher than usual due to the distance, they provide both exclusive and joined tour options, which you can arrange directly with the hotel. Transportation from the airport to the hotel is hassle-free, with a direct service offered at 500 per head. The food at the hotel is a bit pricey, but for budget-conscious travelers, there are local eateries and small grocery shops nearby where you can find affordable meals and groceries. Overall, we had a fantastic family vacation at Astoria Hotel Resort and will definitely return. Highly recommended!

Astoria Palawan - An absolute gem”
Astoria Palawan Hotel and Waterpark is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with such warm smiles and genuine courtesy—it instantly set the tone for an amazing stay. They were approachable and always willing to assist, making us feel so at home throughout our visit. The room? Spotless! I was particularly impressed by how clean and fresh everything felt. They’ve thoughtfully provided a flat iron and deck, a microwave, and even Netflix! It made our stay feel like a true home away from home. There are also work tables in the room, which were perfect for catching up on a little work in between all the fun. While it was a bit of a bummer that the tumbling bucket in the waterpark was out of commission, it didn’t dampen our experience. My 7-year-old had an absolute blast with the Surf’s Up, Velocity, and Vortex slides! The excitement on their face said it all—these slides were a major highlight of our trip. Overall, everything about Astoria Palawan, from the exceptional staff to the thoughtful amenities, exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return! Highly recommended!
