My stay at the Avanta was quite satisfactory, I was met at the reception by a very helpful, pleasant lady but that was the last I saw of her, no one was available at checkout and neither of the phone numbers given were answered so I just left the key in the room door and left!! The room was very spacious and had everything required although no tea or coffee facilities were provided, the pool was great

Decent Accomodation in quiet area away from beach”

the place was very clean and well kept, the gym was basic but suitable, the swimming pool was clean and large enough, the rooms were spotless and very well maintained, all furnishings are near enough brand new and of good quality, the kitchen was extremely basic though, providing minimal cooking facilities, utensils and crockery, although.... it had a kettle and a fridge/mini freezer :-) the people were polite and friendly and will even provide a selection of english dvds upon request(for free) which was very nice of them. i would like to say that you will probably need to acquire transport if you are staying here, the condominium is a little off the beaten track away from the beach, so walking is kind of out the question... all in all i would return, even though i know i can find similar accommodation at a fraction of the cost.

Avanta condominium - very Russian...”

The description match the reality. But it's really 'Russian': TV chanels are mainly russian, most guests are russian, all documents, books, magazines are Russian... It's not a big problem but you better know before going. The result is an hotel which is quite impersonel. Does not feel in 'holidays' but in a modern condominium. This is not a bad hotel, the staff is friendl but I will not go again.

As yet undiscovered gem”

I stayed for 11 nights in June 2011. I had a pool access room , literally 5 steps out of the sliding doors and i was at the pool. There were very few guests there at the time so the restaurant was closed but i never use hotel restauarants so this didn't disturb me . Overall i was made to feel an important guest by the beautiful Russian lady host.

Nice place in an okay location”

We stayed at Avanta during an entire island blackout, so our experience is a little unique. When we arrived, there was no one at the office or anywhere to be found. Luckily we were able to convince a guard to unlock a room for us and stayed there. The room was nice although kind of in the middle of nowhere.

Nice hotel - huge room - beat off the path”

It's not very close to the beach for the price, but the room was huge and the staff was very kind, so if you get a good deal here, I'd say go for it!

Brand New hotel - lovely rooms!”

Booked here for one night on airport transfer, perfect. Nice enough staff. Big TV in room and air con is a blessing!

Great location but not finished”

Had to swap my room 3 times on the first night due to the shower not working properly. 1st room was either very hot or very cold, the mixer tap didn't work. The second room was just cold water. On the 3rd try it was fine. The restaurant wasn't built and the manager was only contactable by phone via the security guard at the gate. Apart from that the hotel was great and the problems about the room were fixed quite rapidly.

Aweful Experience”

As you are aware, Thailand is hot and humid and travel is burdensome and generally includes many transfers. While Thailand is great, I just say that to add a bit of perspective for the following. Upon arrival at Avanta, we had no water or electricity and thus could not bathe. It took nearly 8 hours before we had both. The electricity went out several times during our 3 nights there, which means sweaty nights in bed and cold showers. The management at Avanta is non-existant after 5pm, so help does not really exist.

A bit too quiet”

This place was a bit too quiet when I went, but overall not too bad a place. The pool is nice and big...certainly long enough for a good swim. beware of the dogs when you walk back at night from the main road back to the hotel!

Very spacious rooms and good location ”

the staff when around were friendly but there was absolutely no servive here! one lady in reception office during the day and security guard on the gate 24 hours but other than a couple of cleaners wandering around... nothing! the room ws only cleaned and change of towels once in the entire week, despite being told there was a daily service. toilets badly needed bleaching. there was a kettle ut no tea/coffee or milk provided. no hair dryer either and we had to purchase toilet paper! advertised as having a restaurant and a poolside bar, these were there but not in operation at all. the jacuzzi did not work either. frequent power cuts made us loathe to use the lifts as there was nobody to get us out if we happened to be in the lift when there was a power cut. generally good value but they really should not advertise what they do not provide.

Hotel propre mais bizarre au premier abord”

Nous sommes arrivés relativement tard sur Samui et donc à l'hotel (21 h). Aucune réception si ce n'est un gardien ne parlant pas anglais ... Un peu d'inquiétude. Le lendemain tout rentre dans l'ordre mais hotel trop loin des plages !!!! Dommage la suite est assez sympa.

Hotel type résidence condo”

cet hôtel n'est pas d'accès facile et pas grand chose aux alentours.. néanmoins, la chambre est très spacieuse, salon, écran plat, coin cuisine et grand salle de bain. la piscine est très agréable. le plus c'est vraiment le calme.. on a l'impression d'être seul! le personnel est souriant et serviable.

Lieblose russische Anlage”

Der Pool war im wundervollen Grün gehalten, also quasi der Pool verdreckt und unbrauchbar. Immerhin hat die Rezeption uns am folgenden Tag einen kostenlosen Shuttlebus zu einem anderen Hotel zur Verfügung gestellt. Zimmer sind spartanisch eingerichtet. Keine Deko, keine Bilder dafür große Flecken auf dem kleinen Teppich. Anlage wirkt insgesamt schlecht gepflegt obwohl sie relativ neu ist. Fast ausschließlich russisches Publikum. Das Hotel ist am Hügel gelegen. Hauptstraße zu Fuß erreichbar, Strand eher mit einem Taxi zu besuchen.

Grosse Zimmer, spaerlicher Service”

Zimmerreinigung nur 1-2 mal die Woche, Standardzimmer haben keine Kueche, wir sind dann Umgezogen in ein Zimmer mit Kueche, das kostet Baht Aufpreis pro Tag. Achtung die Balkonbruestung in einigen Zimmern ist sehr niedrig, das ist sehr gefaehrlich fuer Kinder. Die Kueche ist sehr schlecht ausgestattet, Topf und Pfanne war nicht benutzbar, wir mussten neue kaufen, keine Messer. Die meisten Gaeste sind Russen, da der Besitzer auch aus Russland kommt. Die Anlage liegt etwas abgelegen aber sehr ruhig.

sehr luxuriöse apartments für wenig geld!”

der aufenthalt in diesem hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen, wir hatten ein super "zimmer" mit küche inklusive pfannen,besteck, kaffee und teekocher... vom wohnzimmer aus hatten waren es noch 3schritte bis zum pool, der große plasma fernseher hatte auch ein deutsches programm und das schlafzimmer war auch sehr schön eingerichtet mit großem schrank und großen spiegeln auch

Rustig en schoon”

Russich hotel met veel gezinnen. Rustig verblijf met grote kamer. Ligt niet centraal.

朝食がついていないので、近所で食べようと歩いてみたが、近所も朝食は１０時頃からとのことで、小さい子供がいらっしゃる場合は注意した方が良いと思います。結局、コンビニで買ったものを朝食としました。 シンプルすぎるほどシンプル！余計なサービスが一切ないので、物足りなく感じる場合もありますが、そっとしておいてもらえるのに安心する面もありました。我が家はサムイから他の島へ行ってすでにリゾート気分を満喫した帰りでしたので、シンプルでちょうど良かったです。 近隣にめちゃめちゃおいしい食堂があるのでご滞在の方は是非！メインストリートに出る路上にあります。
