Like an old friend”
I've stayed at the Chaweng Budget Hotel now a few times during my many years of visiting Koh Samui. I've shopped around for various other hotels over the years, but I always seem to find myself wanting to come back to the Chaweng Budget Hotel. For one thing, the hotel is in a good location. South Chaweng is, to my mind, the best part of Chaweng Beach. You get away from the crowds and the noise, and yet you can get down to the busy strip easily enough if you want to. The beach itself is also much better for swimming at this end, and it's generally just a nicer area overall. The staff at the Chaweng Budget Hotel are always friendly. Each time I stay, it feels like coming home. The rooms are clean and well-attended, and they still offer one of the best breakfasts on the entire strip for this kind of money. Plus, you get to use the health and pool facilities of its sister hotel. All in all, it's hard to beat the Chaweng Budget Hotel for this kind of money.

A friendly hotel that is good value for the money”
This was my fourth time to stay at the Chaweng Budget Hotel, and so obviously I like it there. The staff, as always, are friendly and helpful, and it is rare to see any of them without a big smile on their faces. I actually know some of them by name now, which helps make it more personal. The breakfast at the Chaweng Budget Hotel (if you decide to get it) is one of the best breakfast buffets I know of for a hotel in this price range--and in fact is better than that at some more expensive hotels I've stayed at. You also get to enjoy it next to the beach, just as the sun is rising, which is a nice added bonus. Of course, you can't expect everything to be perfect for a hotel in this price range. For instance, the swimming pool, which they share with another hotel, is quite small and always seems to be crowded. Likewise, the fitness centre is in a tiny room with a very small range of old, outdated equipment and an air-conditioner that never really seems to work. Still, for this kind of money, it's hard to beat the Chaweng Budget Hotel. If you're looking for a comfortable (but fairly small) room with friendly staff, a good location and a pretty decent breakfast buffet, then I'd definitely recommend this place.

Great hotel and great location”
when my friend and i booked a room at the chaweng budget hotel we weren't expecting anything great. when we arrived the receptionnist told us that we could have access to all the chaweng resort amenities. the chaweng resort is the more expensive hotel complex on the other side of the street. we had access to the 3 swimming pools and to the private beach. the chaweng buget hotel is situated on the south side of chaweng beach which is by far the nicest side of the beach. the rooms were really clean and spacious. the only negative point that i would mention is that internet is extremely slow. apart from that we really enjoyed our stay. we even prolonged it.

The hotel is only about 2 years old so it is nice and clean. It is sometimes hard to find clean hotels on Samui. I have been on the island 7 times and it seems like most owners do not care about the cleanliness of their hotels. Samui Budget was very clean and nice. You can use the facilities of their sister hotel across the street (swimming pool, gym, etc.) Located on south Chaweng Beach so it was quiet at night. Great prices on Agoda.

Nice budget hotel in a good location”
we mainly stayed indoors during our time at ko samui as we were both sick. the hotel room is definitely great value for money and is big and comfortable. the budget hotel is attached to a nicer sister hotel/villas opposite the street so we had a fantastic buffet breakfast overlooking the beach every morning that was also included in the room price. room service was also great. it's also in a great location, close to the beach, small convenience stores and stalls but is about a 20-30 minute walk away from the night life. the only grip we had about the hotel was the a/c. there is only 1 main remote control down at reception so if you want to adjust your room temperature you need to grab the control from them each time.

Nice hotel in a wonderful island”
Located in south Chaweng at a walking distance from the center, but very near to shops, restaurants and the beach. The staff is professional, kind and friendly. The room was beautiful, clean and well furnished. The bathroom is functional, provided with hairdryer and the shower is separated. The A/Ced room including cable TV, safety box, tea/coffee maker and 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water per day, complimentary use of bathrobe, slippers and umbrellas (in case of rain). You can use the facilities of Chaweng Cove Resotel (just cross the road) including swimming pool, beach towels and beach area. The breakfast is yummy with wide selection of choices and eggs cooked at the moment by dedicated staff. The restaurant is on the beach. The transport to the airport by taxi arranged by the hotel was not expensive. We really enjoyed our holiday in this hotel.

the hotel is only about 2 years old so it is clean and modern. sometimes hard to find clean hotels on samui. you can use all the facilities of their luxury sister hotel across the road (swimming pool, gym, etc.) located on south chaweng beach so quiet at night but still close to the nightlife. great prices on agoda a plus.

I would recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in koh samui for a few days or awhile. It was reasonably priced and in my opinion nice and luxurious and very well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful and it's close to the beach and shopping.

Great value for money”
Only stayed for 2 nights, but it was really worth it, I wish I'd booked for longer. Although the Budget hotel itself doesn't have all the facilities, it's got everything you need and everything you want is at the larger resort across the road. It was a comfortable stay as they had English channels, room service and so many restaurants nearby so it was quite pleasant. The only downside(sort of) was that it had 3 floors and no lift, so if you're packing heavy this may not be ideal to have to lug heavy bags up 3 flights of stairs. Also, there isn't always someone at this reception as they mostly serve at the larger resort, this didn't bother me much but it could be somewhat problematic in the event of an emergency. All in all, I'd definitely stay here again, it was the luxury of a big resort for a budget stay.

Amazing budget hotel just outside the busy area”
Amazing hotel, really clean with friendly staff. Can use the hotel across the roads facilities which is great! Just outside where all the shops and bars are so is very good for peace and quiet yet is only a 5-10 minute walk to everything in Chaweng Beach. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Chaweng Beach. Only downfall is if you're disabled you could struggle as there is no lift.

Exceptional”
Chewang budget hotel is a great hotel and we'd stay here again. This is the second time in 12 months we've stayed. This hotel has nothing about budget. It shares facilities with Chewang Cove acrose the road. Buffet breakfast is included and is very tasty. A lovely pool for cooling down in but if you'd rather the beach then walk a couple more meters and you're there. The beach is beautiful with soft sand and warm waters suitable for all. If a massage is what you'd like then you're in luck. There are one on each side of the restaurant. I partissapated in a cooking class. I was spoilt because it was all about me. Definitely worth doing. Will come back

This hotel has not too much room so they don't have elevator and if you want to swiming just cross the road you will see pool and beach. Chaweng beach is the most beautiful beach in Samui. the location is good not far from airport. Friendly staff but need to improve in service (F&B)

Nice room, but no view from the window.”
The hotell is located in the more quiet parts of Chaweng. Good clean rooms with air condition. Personally I prefer fan rooms, but that's my personal preference. Very good breakfast buffet. You have access to the beach, sun chairs and a pool from the sister hotel across the street. That's wjere the breakfast is served as well.

Great hotel, very clean and very new! Freindly staff! Great Value for money. About 15min walk into the heart of nightlife. Many restaurants, internet cafes very close by. 7/11 directly accross the road as well as sister resort 'chaweng cove resotel' which you have access to their pool and gym facilities! all-in-all, GREAT!

chaweng budget hotel is in a great location just a stones throw from the beach.the rooms are perfect size for couples travelling and a good price to.the buffet breakfast is good with plenty of choice,i'd defiantly reccomend good value for money.

good location, cheap price ”
Friendly staff who able to help us to settle problem like transport to ferry, clean hotel but the water heater not really function well somehow it is still acceptable. Overall is value for money. Added extra point is we can use the swimming pool and beach from chaweng cove resort as is from the same owner.

Modern and clean rooms”
the rooms were nice and clean and had a modern feel to it. the dvd player with usb input was a great feature for the kids. the rooms did not have any balconies and there were no elevator. computers with internet in the reception area and close to 7eleven and some restaurants. lovely sister resort cross the road with a beautiful pool and beach side restaurant. perhaps a bit far to walk from the nightlife in central chaweng if that is important.

great hotel, but alittle far from main nightlife ”
great hotel, stayed at the chaweng resort 2 years ago and this year chose the budget hotel, same great service, clean rooms and good breafast, the only thing is that you will have to walk 15-20 mins down the road to reach the main nightlife area and most of the restaurants but on the other hand this is a good thing as the hotel is in a quiet zone so no probs with sleeping recommended hotel
