Still a brand new hotel with clean and nice rooms, of course no good views, but perfectly located in the heart of Chaweng. It's not for everyone, but specially for a night before going to airport, that's a good location! It was not my first time (already 25 nights here) and i will come back again next year. :) Only things which could be improved: - motorbike parking in front of the hotel, because recently the security tells you to park far behind the hotel, maybe the hotel can sort this out again? :) - more fruit options at breakfast, but i understand the concept. just don't expect a big variety for breakfast. :)

The hotel is near Airport though a bit away from good beach (The beach in front of hotel is not good for beach activities) and central Chaweng. Hotel provides few transportation and will be happy to call a taxi. The hotel is built on slope and hence golf kart is necessity if you need to go back to room in most cases, recommend hotel keeps a few more as the slope is steep. The pool villas are awesome with private pool with Jaccuzzi, indoor and outdoor shower with full bath. Room has all facilities. You have lot of private area. Please take a sea facing room. Its awesome for relaxation, spa and art of doing nothing.

Among all the hotels i have stayed, SALA Chaweng is the best of the best. With great hospitality and very good view, you will experience unforgettable stay in this hotel. Starts upon check in, the staffs already impressed you with special offers for the soap, pillows. Everything will be prepared to suit you. I booked for partial sea view room and it has great view. The huge window can be opened so you can enjoy breeze while sleeping. The breakfast offers miscellaneous foods and drink and you can order their special menu. Definitely will come back to this hotel again

Really great hotel, lovely facilities. Easy walk along the beach or along the street into town. It took us an hour to walk into town on the first day as there are so many restaurants and shops competing for your attention! It only took half an hour the next day when we were less distracted. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were super friendly. I can’t believe some of the negative reviews on here, they are not justified. It is quieter than some Chaweng hotels as it is towards the end of town but that suited us.

I chose this hotel as it was the best-rated hotel in Chaweng here on Agoda. Probably I was expecting too much because the other reviews were so good. It was nice, but the resort is starting to show its age a little compared to newer hotels. In 48 hours we had problems with a leaky aircon unit and the power going out for no obvious reason only in our room. I We were told that Premium Rooms have a private garden *or* a bath - not *both*. It's not a bad hotel, but for the second half of our trip to Samui we moved to The Library, also in Chaweng,

This is a fantastic hotel in a great location North of Chaweng beach. It is easily a 15 minute walk along Chaweng beach into the hectic nightlife of Chaweng. However, the hotel is in a much quieter part and is a welcome oasis of calm. We stayed in the main building which has the superior rooms. They are spotless and more private. If u have mobility issues or young kids/prams then the garden bungalows may suit you more but are less private. The breakfast was excellent and lots of choice for everyone. The staff are excellent and friendly with everyone understanding any requests you may have. I really can't fault this hotel and I got a good deal through Agoda. Everything I booked was honoured. No hassles.

Aside from being under the flight path - which I didn't much notice anyway - this hotel has all you could want from a Chaweng hotel; it's modern, and clean, has a good breakfast buffet and is centrally located, close to numerous restaurants and bars. The pool is good, there's pretty easy beach access through the resort over the road and the rooms are a decent size at a good price

Good location near Chaweng busy area The resort has good location near the busy area of Chaweng with many restaurants and all sort of shops. From the airport takes about 15min costs 130bht shared minivan or 500bht for taxi. The Resort has two parts separated by a busy road. The first part has the reception, the main swimming pool, the beach, breakfast and the sea view rooms The second part is not on the beach. Most of the hotel rooms are on the second part. Some of the rooms are 4.5 star level but some of them are 3 or 3.5 star levels. I have been given one of those rooms first. I requested to move to a better room because I paid high price for a 5 star resort. There are two pools both are lovely. The breakfast is very good and has a wide range of food. Again it cannot be compared to 5 star breakfasts. The beach is good for swimming though it has some sea weeds and shallow but it is ok. Check-in was delayed due to room change which should not be. They should assigned 5 star room from the beginning - why making the guest request to change. Motorcycle renting from the hotel costs 300bht, just outside the hotel it cost 200bht. All staff where super friendly and helpful, especially who welcoming and smiling with all guests. The rooms have free WiFi. Check out was fast. Many restaurants, shops, massage shops ... etc. On the main road near the hotel in Chaweng. On the beach there are also nice restaurants and massage shops. The hotel is in a good location.

We got a stunning room (in the building of the Ocean Wing Site), which was beautifully decorated and newly renovated. The hotel is very clean and well located on Chaweng Beach. It is right in the middle of the action, as this hotel is very well located at Chaweng Beach section. A few minutes walk to the Ark Bar, or Chaweng Central Festival etc. The two pools and the great beach were well maintained and equipped with comfortable loungers. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff was super friendly and even in the morning in a good mood. We would definitely book this hotel again and would definitely recommend it.

Great hotel, we stayed at Montien 4 times and always had good experience. Good for groups/families, they have a wide range of rooms from budget to pool villa or apartment style with kitchenette. Free baby cot provided, ask in advance to book all your rooms close to each other, they also do pick up/drop off to airport by email booking. Food & drink prices at hotel restaurant are very reasonable unlike most other hotels in Chaweng. Walk to everything incl Tops supermarket, Festival shopping centre, Coffee Club, 711. No waves at the beach, no noisy jets skis around, kids friendly. Lots of young people too staying at the new building.

Sans Souci Samui was such a great find! I was so happy to be conveniently located on the Chaweng main strip and on the beach, but away from the loud bars. It seemed like we were located just at the end of the strip and walking only 2-5min to get to things. I liked very much being in a quieter area and also have the private beach! We did not stay in a room in the main building but rather in a separate room, which felt like we had our own little studio apartment almost! (without kitchen of course, but still a minifridge). The room itself was cozy and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with general questions and helping with directions and the best way to get to certain places on the island. The only complaint about the room is that we were supposed to have a king sized bed, but our bed was in fact, 2 twin beds put together -which was fine but its a little awkward to have that crack in the middle of the bed even though the beds were fitted together and did not separate or come apart. Also they were good, comfortable mattresses. Being a couple it was inevitable that one of us was always sleeping partially on the seam! The hotel provided van/driver service which was pretty pricey! 600b/hr, but it was nice and convenient when we wanted to tour all of the temples -some of which would have been hard to get to using public transport and taxis. We were not brave enough to rent motor bikes -which the hotel also had. I highly recommend staying here if you don't want to be on a noisy part of Chaweng. I found that the prices for Thai massages were at least 50b less than the main area, and probably the restaurants were a lil more reasonably priced too. Petchbuncha Muay Thai stadium was just a 15min walk away but you can easily take a taxi or motor bike taxi there if you don't want to walk.

We had to stay in crowded, noisy, touristy Chaweng because of a wedding there. We purposely stayed away from the large hotels with big pools and loud music. It's amazing that King's Garden Resort exists. It's such a random hotel that doesn't really fit into the Chaweng identify--which is perfect for us. We wanted something quiet, somewhere where you don't have to fight for a beach chair. King's Garden was it. We decided to treat ourselves and booked their one and only sea-front room. We couldn't be happier with our choice. It was extremely spacious, so much so that we used it for a pre-wedding party. The patio that sits on the beach is equally spacious, so people were able to mingle there with the sounds of the waves (and Ark Bar) the background. The second anyone stepped into our room, the person who immediately compliment how charming, cozy, and home-like it looked and felt. The interior is white, and all the furniture were light in color. So the entire space felt very welcoming--sort of like that summer-house feel. The bed was very comfortable, although a bit soft for my taste. The down pillows totally made up for the soft mattress, and the mosquito nets did come in handy. The uninterrupted view of the beach, sea, and sunrise will make you forget you're in a cheesy, touristy area of Samui. The sunrise warmed up the room quite a bit in the morning, but it was stunning. The bathroom was big, although it had no bathtub, and the hot water was very on and off. Both the indoor and outdoor sofas fit 3, even 4, average-sized adults. Breakfast was a mix of western and Thai. Not a big spread, but more than enough to start your day. The garden itself is well maintained. The staff were continually pruning, watering, and planting new plants. We're so glad we picked this place, especially when we didn't need all the amenities that a larger hotel offers, like a pool and gym. Why would you need a pool when you have the beach and sea literally at your doorstep?

This was a great hotel for our one night stay. The hotel itself is stunning and the room can't be faulted in any way, other than a few too many Mosquitos but that seems to be the case throughout chaweng! If you want a quiet hotel in chaweng then this is a good choice and the Red Snapper restaurant a few doors down is lovely too. The staff at the hotel are also very helpful and polite.

The hotel is centrally located just on Chaweng beach. The staff is very helpful and nice. The breakfast is poor, not many choices and average quality. Food in the hotel is quite expensive, but one can easily go out to the neighboring streets for great food with less money. The pool is a highlight. It is very big and few people. But in the same time, there is almost no public space in the hotel, because the pool and the pool-access rooms basically occupy all public space. One can only go to the end of the pool or the beach. In general the hotel worth its money we spent. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this hotel.

we were a bit apprehensive about our stay at kc as we read reviews that it was not near the beach. as soon as we arrived and saw the breathtaking views from our hotel room, we knew that we made the right choice. it's just far enough from chaweng to avoid all the noise and hustle and bustle, but at the same time you can walk to chaweng through the beach in about 15 minutes. the nearest beach is about 5 minutes walk away. the hotel is on a hill which we didn't attempt walking up due to the heat, but there are 24 hours golf carts which ferry hotel guests back and forth to the main road and the views are well worth the location. breakfast buffet was good and plentiful, eggs to your liking, good coffee and pancakes, although bacon was a bit dry. jacuzzi is a nice bonus although we didn't use it much due to the heat. staff are extremely helpful, friendly and professional. we loved this hotel and would definitely recommend.

By far one of the best hotels in Chaweng! We stayed only 2 nights here - wish we could have stayed more however had already booked somewhere else. We arrived to a welcome of fresh drink and towel at checkin and from there it only got better! We enjoyed our stay so much - everything was so great. The rooms had a coffee maker and everything else you could possibly think of. The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms were so stylish! We had a suite so had the outdoor living area and the provision of snacks was great as it meant we literally didn't need to leave the hotel to get anything. The breakfast was so nice and the view was amazing from the beautiful setting. The pool is so nice to swim in and the staff always friendly and would set you up with a sunbed wherever you wanted it. The book and DVD library is amazing and with a DVD player and TV in the rooms, as well as a computer, you had everything you wanted. The gym is small, but has everything you need and with a view of the sea and pool! What a way to train! I loved this hotel and could not have asked for anything more.

this hotel was much better than the previous hotel we stayed at in koh samui the chaweng beachcomber (which virtually ruined our vacation) and was half the price! it's brand new and very nicely designed. the room had a very comfortable bed (the beds in thailand were all very hard - even at the expensive resort we stayed at - these were super-soft with really soft pillows as well), with clean showers that had excellent water pressure. i would definitely have preferred to stay at this hotel the previous weekend - would have paid less and enjoyed the stay more. while it's located on the other side of chaweng road - so it's not on the beach - i'd definitely have forgone the convenience of being located on the beach for a more comfortable and cleaner place. the staff was very accommodating - and allowed a very late checkout as we flew back that evening.

This was our second time in two years we stayed at the Muang Samui. There is simply no better place for people of any age. It has everything. The best rooms overlook the pool which is perfect. This hotel really is on the beach. Five steps from a pool room into the pool. 5 steps from the end of the pool onto the beach! The atmosphere on the beach is electric both day and night. At night the beach transforms into miles of restaurants on the sand - yes you can have your dinner on the beach with your toes in the sand! The front of the hotel is on Chaweng Beach Road which is busy with lots of shops, restaurants and markets. Everything is easy to get to and open-air taxi trucks provide a cheap (50 baht per passenger one-way) to get around. There are two Muay Thai Boxing stadiums - we went to the opening night fights at the Chaweng stadium - great fun! Ignore the people who have posted any negative comments about the hotel - I am sure the problem is with them, not the hotel. The hotel is breathtakingly beautiful with stunning architecture. The staff are the most friendly and efficient we have ever encountered. The rooms are large and comfortable with great beds. The breakfast is to die for! Don't think about it - stay there for the best resort holiday you have ever had - I intend to book another week there in 2013!

just stayed at the chaweng regent in 2 spa villa rooms. we had booked 2 premier rooms but were pleasantly surprised when on reaching the hotel, we were informed that we had been upgraded. the rooms were large & very well maintained. the full sized bathroom had an excellent shower area & a jacuzzi that was open to the sky. breakfast at the chom talay restaurant was amongst the best i have ever had! huge spread with a great mix of continental & asian foods. although there are 2 pools - the garden pool & the beach pool, we only ended up using the latter. its beachfront location was superb & the water was always at a very comfortable temperature. the garden pool, with a sunken bar, was lovely as well. the beach in front of the hotel is great - clean white sand & clear water! the hotel grounds are lovely & beautifully maintained. dark wood boardwalks winding through lush greenery create a very calming effect. all house-keeping & room-service calls were attended to promptly & the staff were always smiling & cooperative. the airport pick-up & drop was also handled very well by the hotel. the shops, restaurants & massage parlours of chaweng are at the hotels doorstep, & in the 5 days we spent in samui, we were only able to try out a fraction of the restaurants in the vicinity. an excellent 7/11 is located diagonally opposite the hotel & is ideal for meeting one's daily provisional requirements.the only small niggle at the hotel was that the sliding bathroom doors of both our rooms were slightly misaligned & as a result it was difficult to lock them. despite mentioning this to reception a couple of times, it wasn't sorted. but it's quite understandable as the doors would probably have to be taken down & re-aligned & this would obviously be a time consuming affair. all in all though, a lovely experience!

I absolutely loved this hotel, and would come back again and again. If you are into quiet, boutique, luxury hotels, Baan Haad Ngam is the place for you. The rooms are nicely appointed with a jacuzzi in every room, the infinity pool on the beach is tranquil, and I loved breakfast on the beach every morning. Dinner at Olivio was delicious and well worth it. The aromatherapy massage at Satira spa was one of the best I've ever gotten. It's a 15 minute-walk to Chaweng, which may seem like a long one, but it's just enough to give this hotel all the peace and quiet needed for a relaxing vacation (if partying is what you're after, a 5 minute taxi ride or a 15-minute walk will put you in the middle of all the action). Another thing I loved about this hotel is that all the lounge chairs are around the pool area, which is on hotel territory, which means you don't get harassed by beach vendors trying to sell you anything from jewelry to ice cream every two minutes while you're trying to relax (which is the case with most other hotels in Chaweng). Trust me, it was worth it - especially when you just wanna close your eyes and get a tan without being bothered, or just read a book.

Nora Beach resort is located away from the hustle & bustle of Chaweng Beach. The room was a very good size and let a lot of light in thorugh the bathroom although the actual room was a bit dark. We loved our garden facing room which had a pond filled with a variety of fish. However we could not sit out at night because of the mosquitos that were attracted by the water. Another downside to the room was lack of storage.Unfortunately I had to live more or less out of my suitcase because there are no drawers and very little hanging space. The location of Nora Beach is great and just a short drive from the airport. The other advantage is that it is a short drive to Chaweng centre and only costs 200 Bahts or you can get the free shuttle service provided by the hotel. Nice beach. Ok slightly rocky but this did not spoil our stay and I would much prefer a few pebbles than the crowds of Chaweng Staff were excellent and very friendly. We arrived late evening so went to dinner quite late but the staff made a lot of effort to ensure that we had a decent meal. Breakfast has great choice of pastries, fruits, english breakast and Thai cuisine. My only complaints would be the lack of lighting in the room and the stagnant water outside which attracted mosquitos which meant keeping the patio doors closed at all times. Otherwise a brilliant stay. Would go back.

This hotel is located in the quiet side of Chaweng beach. We went with our 1year old baby in the end of November and the weather was good - it did not rain for the 4 days we were there. We had a cot FOC, 2 sun hats, 1 straw bag, complimentary fruits basket with bananas and thai orange. We love the views from the 3 floor and the outdoor jacuzzi. The bathroom had a glass wall with curtains for privacy, and we love the overhead shower. They also had complimentary toys for small children at the poolside/beach front. They thai people really love children, and will play with our baby. Food at the hotel restaurant - Chef's Table - was good compared to most of the other restaurants/cafes along Chaweng beach road. We saw a few negative comments on this hotel but my own experience was very very enjoyable. We're glad we went in Nov due to the low peak season and its not crowded anywhere in Chaweng at all. But Ko Samui has more mosquitoes compared to Phuket. Go armed with mozzies repellant or patches.

We stayed at Baan Talay mid January as our last destination in Thailand after a months travelling around the south islands. The room we had was a garden view villa room and although we did not have a garden view we did not mind as you get all the views you need around the corner of the beach and sea! The pool was great and there was always enough sunbeds. The hotel is at the quieter end of Chaweng street which is good as it can get quite noisy there but we had no problem with noise at the hotel. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and their strawberry fruit shakes were the best i've had in Thailand! We got our room through a special offer for a very good price so we were very happy with our choice and actually asked to stay longer but the offer had ended and the increased price was not in our budget unfortunately, they did offer us a free upgrade to a beach front villa which would have been amazing though! Very much recommend Baan Talay!

The hotell is placed at the end of Chaweng beach. You have to walk little bit to the main area to shop. But can take taxi from main road for 50 bath pr person. The hotell is beautifull and clean and offer a quiet stay away from the manny bars in the centrum of chaweng beach. Dining down at the beach is stunning but the prices at the hotell are quite expensive. But you can walk up to the main road and you will find at least 5 restaurants with far better prices. The beach in front of the Hotell can be very shallow and the beach will disapear when high tide.

Fantastic! This hotel is located in the best area of Chaweng beach. The beach in front of the hotel is great and the pool is very nice! The poolside entertainment is alot of fun! The food is really good and breakfast is amazing! I would recommend this beach club for anyone looking for some upbeat fun and music around a lovely pool! The staff were fantastic and very attentive and look forward to staying at this lovely hotel again.

Indeed a very pleasurable stay. Location of the hotel is exactly where you want to be staying in Chaweng beach. I believe Chaweng is one of the best beach to stay after visiting nearby beach. The soft sand and water is different to other beaches in Samui. Hotel's layout is very nice, simple yet sophisticated. Room is a bit small but fits my stay with no problem. All amenities are there, aircon works very well and there is an added fan in room when you simply want the breeze. Bed is supersoft, too soft for my taste including the soft pillow. If I could able to ask for pillow preference that would be very nice. TV have good channels. The only complain in room is probably the water pressure and the annoying tub like floor in the shower. A simple ceramic would do nicely why the stupid tub thing I will never understand. Cracking noise every step I take. Breakfast was great. Very nice selections every day. And the pan cake machine is very cool. There are automatic espresso machines for your own taste (cappuccino, latte, etc). Other hotels usually only serves brew coffee. As a coffee aficionados I always thought this is nice. Though better coffee been would be nice. Breakfast opens until 11 so yoi dont have to get up early just for breakfast, how considerate. Pool and beach area is well accommodating with ample beach chairs. Location of hotel is right in the middle of Chaweng. So you wouldn't miss anything. Great stay.

We should have been given an option to choose our rooms, as there were some vacant rooms near the beach. Overall, a very good experience in Ko Samui, and definitely value for money given the prime location of the property. The staff were warm, yet not overbearing or interfering. The beach in front of the property was beautiful as well and is a dream for swimmers. Just outside the entrance is the main Chaweng Road, that has everything, from food, drinks, bars, dept stores, pharmacies, the works!! I'll give it a 4.75/5. Will stay here again unless I hit the jackpot and can afford to stay one of the 5stars or 7 stars along the same beach.
