Traveling to India? Find Amritsar hotels

We moved here from the Sawara Grand around the corner after just one night. Thank you Agoda for moving us. The Ramada is well situated for the Golden Temple, which I walked to early every morning and for the Partition Museum which is a "must see". Although we were there in winter and it was too cold to swim, it was lovely to sit up by the pool and look over Amritsar and do some work with the computer. The restaurant is also amazingly good and relatively expensive. My son and I who have traveled India extensively agreed that our Biriyani at the Ramada was by far the best we'd eaten in our lives.... And we've eaten many. This will always be my hotel of choice in Amritsar. Oh, and the travel desk and reception are also really good and helpful. Impressed!

Location: This is an excellent hotel in Amritsar and quite near to the Golden Temple. Check-in: Booked 3 rooms for 1 night out of which 1 room was upgraded to Suite by the hotel. Welcome drink was not provided and could've made our welcome even better after a tiresome journey in the scorching heat of Amritsar. Staff & Service: Service by staff at restaurant and at reception was very good. Food: The breakfast and dinner buffet served was surprisingly very good exceeding our expectations. Rooms: Rooms are well lit, spacious, maintained and clean with good beds. Washrooms: More Toiletries could've been added and only basic ones were provided. Towels could've been more cleaner since they looked old and quite used ones. Checkout: Make sure you return the key at the reception or else you would end up paying Rs 200 for a silly thing. Ambiance: I liked the dark ambiance of the room passage ways. Was something different and quite cool.

I am a solo female traveller that has been to India many times over the past 30 years. I found this hotel to be friendly, clean & accommodating & would recommend a stay. It is within walking distance to the Golden Temple & can help you with all of your adventurous needs. You can exchange money there which was very helpful. The food at the restaurant is also very good. Thank you. I had a lovely stay!

Surely one of the best in terms of service, friendliness, cleanliness and also security. Location is barely a 5 mins walk to the Golden temple. Located in the pathway to the temple, one can just go down to the shops around the area for great local merchandise. Housekeeping staffs were really very polite and totally value for money. Hotel of my choice in my next visit to Amritsar for sure.

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Hong Kong Inn. We needed a nice, comfortable, and clean place to stay after having some mediocre experiences in other Indian cities. The Hotel Hong Kong Inn was a much needed oasis amid the chaos of downtown Amritsar, and it turned out to be the favorite hotel of our visit to India. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome with complimentary breakfasts, free wi-fi, information about surrounding tourist sites, ways get around town, and genuine friendliness. I am recommending the Hotel Hong Kong Inn to anyone planning a trip to Amritsar.

Location of this property is nice. Good market around with nice food offered in the morning to start with, but the best is if you wanted to explore the place better do it through the local auto. I found the staff good and helpful. We explored the city and Wagah using the local auto as he offered a good package for two days including wagah border. This guy (Mr.Karnail Singh - 06239885080) is simply superb and great in honesty. I recommend if you really wanna explore Amritsar better reach out to him for his exceptional service attitude for guest.

Had a one night lay over in Amritsar before flying off the next day after visiting relatives and had a very good stay at the hotel. Hotel is situated 5km from the International Airport and the hotel provides a free shuttle service to the airport. Check in was easy and good. Staff are very professional and friendly. Room was big, comfortable and well worth the price paid. Had 2 in room dinings and 1 meal at the restaurant on the 7th floor and all the meals were very good and service top notch. I had no complaints. I will be back again in the future. The shuttle bus to the Golden Temple departs at 3.45am and returns at 5.45am (please double check with front desk). I thought this may be suitable for some but not practical for others. Would have preferred another departure time in the morning and one in the afternoon to cater for different travellers and hotel guests as many arrive/depart at different times and going at 3.45am did not seem to make sense. It was too cold in winter.

It is very good Hotel in amritsar and is one of the best for Stay for Business or with family, Reception staff is excellent and welcome drink was given and Check in was done very fast and luggage was transferred urgently and staff, security, Breakfast Room Manager and others were very co-oprative and ordered items were served on the table and has wide range of dishes, Help & Courtesy of entire Hotel staff was commendable.I strongly recommend the Hotel for Family and Business People or Pilgrims of Golden Temple. Only problem is It is little bit Far from Amritsar Golden Temple, Main City Centre How ever manageable with Auto Rickshaws and Car.We thoroughly enjoyed our Business Trip and also visit to Amritsar Golden Temple, attraction and Change of Guards .I will recommend hotel to families, Pilgrims,Business People as It has wonderful ambience,service,breakfast, Reception.Due to our work our request for Extended checkout was also made by the Hotel.We loved every moment of our stay

when in amritsar- there are only 2 places to stay- 1.best western 2. hyatt. The best western provides all the facilities of a 5 star hotel for the price of a 4 star hotel. i went with my family as we had to go to the golden temple, and i can easily say that the hotel was as per our expectation- comfy and clean. The location could have been better but all in all a great experience.

The hotel is truly a crown jewel amongst all Radission Hotels that I have stayed over the last 20 years. The best in Amritsar in terms of service and every effort was made to meet customer expectation. I have stayed at the other 5 star hotel in Amritsar many times and nothings beats the Radission. All staff members from the security guard, front desk, houskeeping, room service and the restaurant were great. They knew their work and took pride in what they way doing. Such pride was not seen in other Radission Hotels that I have stayed. The only drawback is that the surrounding area is undergoing a transformation. Despite that , every single cent spent is worth it. Also the best food in Amritsar is served in the hotel

I was a little apprehensive about staying in a dorm. All my price range hotels were full so I opted to stay here. Govinder checked me in at reception and the answered all the questions I asked while given a tour of the 4 bed dorm and other facilities. I put some clothes in for the laundry service which came back clean and well ironed and on time. The dorm was one of the quietest places I slept at in the 3 week stay in India. I highly recommend this place not just for backpackers but anyone travelling and staying in Amritsar.

1. Location : Really love the location. Only 5mins walk to Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh, Partition Museum. Easy to find the hotel and easy to get rickshaw/uber car. 2. Food : No halal restaurant around this hotel but Vege Mc Donalds is just in front of this hotel. Also Dominos and many Indian Restaurants in just 2-3mins walking. 3. Shopping : A lot of souvenir shop once you step out this hotel. 4. Facilities : Internet was ok in the room. Only soap, towel, and mineral water provided . Room and sheet were clean. But they control the aircond from reception counter. Even though you are in the room, they will switch off and you have to call receptionist to on the aircond. 5. Staff : Helpfull 6. Value for money : For RM 90 per night consider ok for me.

We were a group of 5 and booked 3 rooms. This 4 star business hotel is located in an upmarket location-Ranjit Avenue which has easy access to market and Golden Temple. Its a 20 minutes to half hour drive from Amritsar airport. The hotel is new so everything is swanky and well appointed. Room size is a tad small. The chairs provided in the rooms.do not have lumbar support so very inconvenient without an extra cushion. Beds, pillows are comfortable. Rooms allocated to us were not road facing so was quiet. Breakfast spread is usual for a 4 star business hotel. Chicken sausage was below par. Butter Croissants were superb, so dont miss them. Dosa was sad so did not enjoy it. They make some great sunny side up eggs, do try them. Room service staff were very courteous and able. So were the folks at the reception. Of the 3 rooms, they considered late check out for one of the rooms so appreciate thr gesture. Overall, if you book your room in thia hotel in advance, you will nit be disappointed as it is a value for money experience. And yes, cannot miss this- I could chill the room down to 21 degrees without an issue and was an awesome experience during a summer day/night!

The management is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and had plenty of light. The WiFi connectivity was great. Most of all, it is right next to the Golden Temple and the tourist promenade. You're in the heart of all activity. Restaurants, historical sites, the Sikh and Partition museums are all within walking distance. There's a SPLENDID view of the whole temple complex from the terrace of the hotel.

The room was really small. we had to ask hotel staff to clean the room on daily basis. It felt like we are in a Dharamshala with an AC fitted. Staff told us during the night time when we went back to the hotel, that if we need the room to be cleaned then we have to leave our bunch of room key at the reception as they do not keep other pair with them.. Disgusting. Food quality was not that great. I selected this hotel on Agoda due to its price and location. but, I think I should have chosen other better option at the same location. will never book this hotel again and suggest people to not to book it if you do not want to live in a Dharamshala.

This hotel had good reviews, but failed to livd up to them in my opinion. I think there is a difference between expections of europen and Indian visitors. I checked out after 1 night and moved to the Holiday Inn which was far better. I'm not sure if I'll get charged for the nights I had booked but didn't stay but, I don't care, my stay in Amritsar was better once I had moved to a better hotel.

place is dirty and unclean.staff is not polite.food service is bad.they make u wait for ages.food quality not good.rooms r unclean.toilet flush not working.only positive is that it is near bus stand and close to Golden temple.check out time is written 12 pm but they start harassing u to check out by 11am.i don't recommend this place.also it is overpriced for the service they provide.

This is indeed probably the best hostel in India. The facilities are clean, staff are friendly and laidback. There's cheap tours but no pressure whatsoever to do them. The space is cool, with artwork on the walls and inspiring quotes handwritten by travellers. The highlight for me was the kitchen where you can make your own coffee - by donation - using coffee beans, a hand grinder and aeropress. It was the best coffee I've had so far in India. There's a communal lounge with endless cups of chai and lemon water available. There's always someone to chat with or you can just chill out and read a book. There's also a computer upstairs and a rooftop area. Please Jugaadus can you open more hostels in India!

The room is clean and the location is very close to the Golden Temple. However, the location is not easy not for the visitor but also to the locals. Even the taxi driver at the airport could not find the location. But the management is good enough to let me check in at an early hour of the day. Sometimes the high voltage electricity especially for the a/c did not recover automatically after daily electricity-out event, so that I had to ask to reconnect. Even there are some inconvieniences, I would stay there in the future. I would recommend Hotel Krishna's in Amritsar.

I think the location is the best of all hotels in Amritsar for the people to visit Golden temple. It is locate only a few minutes to the main gate and Golden temple can be seen from the roof top. I could go to the temple as soon as I wanted to go. There are many shops near the main gate and I could enjoy shopping,too. The room of a modern design is very clean and well equipted. I will stay at this hotel again when I have a chance to visit Amritsar.
