It was such a pleasant surprise to stumble across this superb hotel and restaurant in Chanthaburi. We were there for just one night in December, we will certainly be back again. A wonderful 500m from...

We booked at Saint Tropez because of it's kid-friendly activities and were not disappointed. The rooms were decent, but liked there is a big pool and the hotel is right on the ocean. Most of the rooms are designed to face the ocean so you can see from your balcony. If you're coming on a long flight to Thailand I wouldn't recommend this area to stay since you'll spe...

We sought relaxation, peace and quiet and booked this stay for 11 consecutive nights in the low season. We really got what we sought after. The resort beach is kept very clean. The resort is located 5 minutes from the center of a little, charming village where one can buy local foods and some cheap souvenirs. If you are interested in excursions, the reception is helpfu...

The positives: good location (anywhere in Chanthaburi you need a car anyway), quite area with a lot of green around, relatively new premises, modern, pool is nice. the not-so-positives: most rooms don't overlook the river (which is the best feature around), the breakfast is a joke, the hotel has no real flair. It seems someone had too much money and wanted to invest it...

The location of the resort is very scenic and perfect for a hideaway. All the staff are nice and well-trained. You shouldn't miss their resturant which serves delicious Thai, local Chanthaburi, and also international dishes. The resort also provides bicycles for those who loves biking! Last but not least, the bunnies are so adorable!

A small working desk was provided immediately after I suggested to use a notebook PC in the bungalow, even without my request. I did find often such ways of various inconspicuous or not bald manner of hospitality which were very favorable to me. I enjoyed very much my laziest stay there for 3 nights;reading books and napping on a sofa beside the entrance of bungalow, ...

Modern, clean and beautiful view. Fantastic swimming pool. Friendly staff with the owner on site bending over backwards to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. Very good price for what you are getting. I give it 5 stars because 10 stars are not available. Breakfast was very good.

The Kasemsarn is located near the centre of Chanthaburi, very close to the river and a few minutes walk to the town market. The hotel is a modern Thai style hotel with some boutique styling, and the service was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast, a restaurant and a coffee shop are available at the hotel, though it is located only a 2 minute walk from the riverside where...

Great place in every aspect. Upon arrival we got upgraded to a bigger newer room due to some construction site noise that could have disturbed us in the cottage we had booked. It looked nice and clean, very cute, but we took the offered other quieter room other side of the yard. Room was brand new and the king size bed was the best we ever slept on! The stony yard look...

Riverawan is a modern, beautifully situated Hotel on the banks of the Chanthaburi River approximately 3k outside of the city center. Rooms are overlooking the swimming pool and the the nearby river and come with all the obvious amenities. Hotel facilities, swimming pool and public areas are clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly although less flexible and support...

we were very happy with staff service. overall, great hotel, newly renovated rooms, spacious (compared to bkk, which is expected since chanthaburi is a small town). lots of eateries/night market right outside the hotel and on the small lanes about 1 block away from the hotel - so you definitely won't go hungry at night. receptionist helped us to call cabs (as commun...

The hotel and the course have been greatly improved - one on the best value golf retreats in Thailand if you are ok with the remoteness, and the manager's incompetence. The location means very little queues on the course. Unfortunately the Golf Course Manager has no idea how to run a golf course so be warned! He will gladly take your money for two full rounds of gol...

i enjoyed my stay at the kp grand, its one of the better hotels in chanthaburi. upon arriving there was a misunderstanding with my booking which they resolved immeadiatley.. the rooms are large and very good considering the area.. the staff always play a very important role in my oponion.. they all were amazing very helpful, polite and friendly.. they geninuely want to...

the hotel nears the beach for taking a walk within just 5mins, good location which very convenice to the 7-11 and some seafood restaurants room is clean and big enough for 4 people to stay. Breakfast is good and be prepared on time in the morning. service is good as well. worth for the money.

The hotel / b&b is hidden on a little cove off busy beaches of Chantaburi. It's located on Ao Yang which was very peaceful and beautiful. Room was of good size and in new condition. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was adequate. Hairdryer was not provided in the room but you can ask from staff. It's a bit expensive for its basic facilities but the location and helpf...

We rented two sea-view bungalows and hired a BBQ from the hotel and drove a few minutes down the road and bought loads of sea-food, and spent 2 days enjoying the view and wonderful food, beach wasn't great but we had spent the previous week on samet, so that wasn't a big deal.

We had a comfortable stay with a nice breakfast, the room was spacious, clean and quiet, the hotel location is very convenient to all that Chanthaburi has to offer and the staff were helpful and friendly, I would recommend this hotel to anybody as being very good value for money

Its a beautiful modern resort on the Beach. Fast free wifi. I agree with one other review about Chao Lao Beach. We checked out all the resorts and we decided better to stay at Baan Faa Talay Chan and drive 5 minutes along the beach to Chao Lao Beach "Its much cleaner and quieter than the other resorts" The sound of the ocean is relaxing and the sea air is refreshing. Cheap places to stay in Chanthaburi

Was absolutely blown away by this boutiquey hotel. Rooms and decor were so unique, thoughtful, and beautiful! Bed was super comfortable, bathroom and shower were spotless! It was the price of most guest houses in Thailand, yet so much more than you would usually get! Amazing breakfast included as well. Truth be told, we only stopped briefly in Chantaburi in order to ge...

This hotel is perfectly situated in middle of the old city along the river. Great shops and restaurants are everywhere, only a few minutes walking distance away. You can even walk to Robinsons in 20 minutes, and there's an awesome market right next door. We felt safe in the area even walking late at night. The town shuts down early compared to other places we've be...

Staying at Bedgasm is the best hostel experience I have ever had, room is spacious and clean, towels are perfectly cleaned, feels like the one you washed at home, you can smell it !! What’s more ? Every morning you will have DIFFERENT morning set which is fresh and yummy. Location is good also, the local market and Robinson are just few minutes walk. It is easy to get ...

I stayed 7 nights at Fabb Hotel and would have stayed longer if i could! 1. Daily cleaned and spacious room. 2. Air con/ tv/ towels/ mini fridge/private bathroom/free water. 3. 4min from the beach. 4. The owner is the friendliest person i met in Thailand, he showed me around, drove me to Chanthaburri when i needed to fix some stuff there, had great chats AND he is...

We booked the cheapest room in the list but Agoda called to informed us that the room was fully booked. So they have upgraded us to the double bed suite room (Thanks Agoda!!). The room was in the newest building of the resort. It has plenty of space although it has a big king size bed because it has nothing else except another small table and a small freezer which is g...

The room was very clean and big. The staff is super friendly. The owner from the hotel speaks very good english and will help you with everything you need. Every morning there's a good breakfast and over the day there are local snacks you can take. It was a very good stay! But the location is a little bit far from Chanthaburi center.

Just like I read in the reviews it's a very pleasant hotel with a friendly staff and manager. The manager speaks some English and is very helpful. Check-in was efficient and check out was just a key drop. The room is large and very clean with good aircon and so quiet, day and night! It's located about 2 km from the bus station and the start of the old street and less ...

very value for money at this price range (about 500-600 baht). similar quality hotels in the area would probably be 40-80% more. New and clean, with fresh and thick towels, clean sheets, big pillows, good wifi, strong water pressure in shower. All you need really for a night's stay. no breakfast provided but they provide free hot water, coffee, chocolate, instant cu...

What a great discovery Chanthaburi has been, starting with our beautiful Homestay and our hosts with whom we had a great time and are always there when you need it. We felt at home. The location was perfect as we were on a quiet street, 2 to 5 minute walk from the Cathedral and waterfront on one side, same distance from local street restaurants and minimarts on the ot...

Facilities are basic, but with aircon. Thankfully no barking dogs of a nighttime which is often the case with cheaper 'resorts' in Thailand. Thai food can be brought at the family owned restaurant next door or buy fresh seafood from the local market and use the barbeque to cook. Alternatively go to one of the beachfront resorts, especially if you're seeking a Western b...

OK you don't get a sea view or beautiful garden staying here but for half the price of places that do you get a large clean bungalow with decent WiFi and good Aircon. They offer a free breakfast but it's not the best. The hotel is next to two decent seafood restaurants and within 5 minutes you can be on the beachfront walking towards the more touristy areas of Chao Lao...

Very nicely designed bungalows, unique inside out, including furniture. All of them have their own parking space and little terrace with seating area. The garden is beautiful and the place is incredibly quiet being located so close to the main road. The lobby offers selfservice to make free coffee & tea + there are some cookies too. Clean, quiet place with nice garden....

We loved our little bungalow in Baan Pun Sook Resort, it was simple but nicely decorated, with a set of steps going down to our huge bathroom. Great amenities, loved the kettle in the room, but that you could also get free coffee and tea near reception at any time of the day. Great WiFi even in the bungalows. The restaurant in between the main resort and this resort s...

Good price value for money. Room is basic and everything works. WiFi only available in the lobby. Walking distance to the nice park with a fitness feature in the middle of the lake. Weekend market that is one of the best in up country Thailand. Make sure you go. Staff was really helpful and the location is good. you there are many places around to get whatever you ne...

Really nice cleaned Rooms, The best part was the Breakfast , we wanted to have vegetarian hotel staff asked for the preference while checking in and next morning we were served with so yummy vegetarian breakfast and damn good service. Highly recommended this place .

There are Green Terrace Resorts 1 and 2 . It's confusing as Green 2 is actually Green Terrace Resort 2. Both are only a few yards from each other. We stayed at Green Terrace Resort 2. This is a fairly new resort with 35 individual rooms that do not have any common walls. As such, they are quiet and peaceful. Pretty much fully equipped, very clean, and comfortable. The ...

I and my friend stayed there for 2 nights. The place was quiet and clean. The location was quite far from downtown of Chanthaburi if you didn't have a car for travel but the hostel itself has a taxi (which is called Mazda) you can ask for his mobile number from hostel owner. Highly recommended for a group because it's really cheap.

If you want just a room for one night or longer then this hotel will suit very well at a very reasonable price. The rooms are clean and of a very good size with both a bedroom and sitting area but there are at present no restaurant facilities apart from coffee/tea. In addition you also need to have your own transport as it is not in the center of Chanthaburi and there ...

I got a room upgrade from garden to beachfront but the room is really dirty and old fashion especially the bathroom, the bathroom was full with birds' poops and leaves. The trash can not even clean up and there was a trash inside. Also, lots of bugs on the bed

I love this city you can eat real thai food and shopping people are very friendly and i have never feel so relax in a city but talk about the price with Taxi/ Mazda cars before and same about the busstation you need to know what station you go to so they don't drive you to the wrong one they get paid from the busstation same if you go to Koh Chang if you booking hotel just tell then what time you come they will pick you up at the ferry.
Great city with lots to see. We stayed for two nights, but need to come back! We saw the main Cathedral, a really lovely man met us at the door and gave us the history of the cathedral.
Lots of places to go, beaches, waterfalls, villages. Land of Thai fruits (especially Durians). Great food.
Great place for seafood, fruits and natural park sight seeing. People are so nice and helpful. Living cost is sos cheap.
The province is very quite. It has a nice beach and great nature. Though, signs on the road could use some changes, there should be English road signs to make it easier to access by tourist.
very nice place to visit, good scenery, friendly people also has lots of attraction places to visit even have short time
Quite a laid back province and you need to do a read up before you go as places of interest are all over the place.
Have you being there for many times and recommended to many of my friends ? This is my annual trip to this chanthaburi.
This town is my favorite in Thailand, i really love the people there, most have difficulty speaking in english but will try to help yu in the best way they can.
when i stayed in chantburi is hot sea son and raining if any one like thai fruits you can find overthere
Chantaburi is the famous place for fruits field. If you can have chance in the season, I have recommended to visit fruits farm.
Small town far away from Bangkok and industrial areas, many natural surroundings, farms and historic areas to visit and enjoy.
We loved our time in this little town. It was so refreshing just to mix with the local people, eat in the small restaurants like they do and wander around feeling safe and adventurous.
Great place to relax and unwind away from the bustle of touristy places. This place is mainly for Thai residents and gem dealers but if you can get around the language barrier you will find that the majority of people living here are friendly and helpful.
A very friendly Thai town with very helpful and friendly people..not to mention some of the best food style cooking in Thailand.
Forget Trat, Koh Chang and other neighboring islands, THIS PLACE IS THE ULTIMATE BEACH ADVENTURE! Quiet surroundings, delicious food, affordable price.
Chanthaburi is the province of fruit plantations and gems. You can get very cheap and nice fruits, as well as some cheap and quality jewelries.
I like Chanthaburi as here we can find both beach and mountain. However, the beach isnt that white sand one but it is clear and less people, moslty only Thai not westerns.
It has the worst designed roads on the planet and no signing. Then add double the cars the roads can handle and there you go.
Not far from Bangkok, drive only 2.30 hours. The place is very rich of food especially seafood and tropical fruit.
You will enjoy everything in Chanthaburi. Tasting lots of fruit while relaxing by beaches and waterfalls.
I first went to Chanthaburi on the way back from visiting Koh Chang island. We decided to explore Chanthaburi.
Just a rural area with many nice beach. Natural ,fresh air, there are many good restaurant seafood. Famous various kind of fruits is the main business for this town, try durian.
if interested in the waterfall better visit the place in September or October, Khao Khitchakut National Park is a great place but it only opens from February to April
Recommended for a visit. It's historic city and plenty of local fruit that famous of Thailand as Darien, mango, mangosteen, long-gong or black pepper for cooking.
Difficult orientation, confusing road system. Nice town center with lake, park and restaurants. Wide shopping varieties (Tesco-Lotus, Big-C, Robinson).
i never go there before this is the first time and its not season and too hot for me i go for business not long times there and this time i go to tachaleab for sea foods the price it nit too expensive
Very well preserved old town area with the original wooden shop houses. Eating out is very cheap at the local restaurants.
