Chengdu hotels & accommodations

Dorsett Grand Hotel We recently stayed at Dorsett Grand Hotel in Chengdu for 5 nights and we loved it. The hotel is in a fantastic location close to the city centre and the Metro station is less than 100m from the hotel. The room we stayed in was surprisingly spacious and clean, with a separate sitting area with its own TV. The bed was big and comfortable and the ba...

It was a beautiful stay and most importantly very clean and excellent service. I actually forgot I was in Chengdu. The room service prices for food were reasonable and the staff were very polite and helpful. Plus they all spoke English. Highly recommend this hotel in Chengdu but definitely the price is more than most hotels in Chengdu.

We have become perennial guests at Niccolo Chengdu. During our annual visits to see family, it is like our home away from home, as it has all the luxuries of home and then some. We are travelers that demand high quality and service wherever we go, and Niccolo Chengdu has often met and exceed our expectations. The rooms are well-appointed, clean, spacious and have a ...

Situated at the foothill of Qin Cheng mountain. Ambience inside and outside are peaceful and quietness. Room are made of wood as hotel stress on friendly environment and exude class thus felt like merge with Tao. Lots of waterfalls and like staying with nature. Buffet is excellent as all food are self made by the hotel eg jams. The hotel has home grown vegetables an...

I choosed this hotel becuase it is the same hotel group as LKF Hotel in Hong Kong and also because it just opened ( in 2012). I also got upgraded when I check in. The bathroom is very big and nice, it has a seperate shower and a nice bathtub next to the window over looking Chengdu. The room is also very big and very well decorated, 2 big TV, comfortable bed, auto-contr...

Kempinski has long been one of the best hotels in Chengdu for its convenient location - 20-minute drive from the airport and a subway station just 200m away. Room size and property maintenance is good but: (1) there is a car-park gate in front of the hotel entrance so taxi drivers are reluctant to drive in and tend to drop you off outside the main road. Though 50m away...

I usually prefer to stay at this hotel due to its competitive price, services, and vicinity to the Metro Station . The hotel provides free beverages in the refrigerator and they also offer some sweet snacks. Their breakfast has variety of dishes, though there is limited western style food. The staff is also helpful and try to response at their earliest. Their internet ...

Great location to attend trade shows at the convention center and about 20 minutes to the airport and city center. Chengdu isn't a very big city and traffic is reasonable, so you can get anywhere fairly quickly. The rooms are clean and spectacular with amazing 5 star hotel finishes. Lots of food options in the mall next door.

It's so confusing when we tried to find the entrance of the hotel from the car park. And the night light in our room couldn't be turned off so we had to call their electrician and cut it off which was very disappointing since it's the most expensive hotel in Chengdu.

the hotel is opposite one of the famous attractions of chengdu - one of the 4 main zen monasteries - and within an area that has been recreated to look like the old chinese streets, including a very interesting street market. the hotel itself has a large buddha statue in its inner courtyard and if possible try and get a room facing it. the other rooms face the recreate...

this is honestly the best hotel i've stayed at in china for the price. the rooms were spacious, provided free internet and the health spa offered very reasonable massage prices. the lunch buffet was an outstanding deal at 98rmb and offered a huge selection of food and desserts at great quality. staff were all very attentive and polite. reception spoke english too. ...

Our experience at St. Regis was the best. It's a definite 5 star hotel and more! The service provided by all the staff was exceptional. The condition of the hotel is excellent. This hotel does not deserve a 9.2 but a 10! If you are reading this just book this hotel, you will not regret it. The service provided and the comfort of the room will help you enjoy your trip i...

You’ll understand why the name of this hotel includes an exclamation mark when you stay here: My wife and I are hotel-jumping and Lia! has been the clear high point of our accommodation experience in Chengdu. A possible misleading aspect of this hotel’s quality is an old-style lobby which betrays somewhat the boutique design and layout on the floors above: Just igno...

The Hilton Chengdu is a fabulous hotel with well appointed rooms and gracious staff. The staff were professional, courteous, and spoke impeccable English. The language piece for me isn't a requirement (and enjoy practicing my beginning Mandarin), but the stay at Hilton Chengdu was enhanced by the ease of communication. We loved the comfy bed, the beautiful bathroom,...

It is not easy to find a western-style breakfast on the mainland. In Chengdu, fortunately, the breakfast at the Sofitel Hotel is really impossible to challenge. A cup of ground coffee, delicious yoghurt, authentic French bread, bread pudding and French Bonne Maman jam are all wonderful. Of course, the hotel staff are well trained in service and are also important facto...

I would recommend this hotel for any visitor to Chengdu. It is conveniently located, and a short walk to the major shopping malls. I booked this hotel online and thought that it did not come with complimentary breakfast so I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast was complimentary. I also stayed at the Shangri-La in Wuhan before I flew to Chengdu and although I like...

Right at city centre and surrounded by many malls and restaurants. Very new and clean. Services from all front line staffs are very courteous and good. Starbucks just next door. Food from Man HO restaurant is delicious. Ambience of room is modern and serene. Price of room till food are reasonable. Highly recommended

Classic, long lasting for decades as THE place to stay in central Chengdu. Having toured this property 3 yrs prior, and noted the elegant, unique dining room, when a "special" for room w/buffet breakfast, at 1/4 the "normal" price, was offered, I immediately booked two "special treat" nights. Chengdu's Jinjiang Hotel is the equal to, in some cases, exceeds NYC Plaza H...

We have stayed at least 3 times in the last month and found the hotel consistently perfect. Beds are extremely comfortable and rooms are well appointed and housekeeping is flawless. Staff is genuinely helpful, they helped us change our dates without any hassle when we had issues with our flights and helped us book train tickets as we had difficulties with the Chinese s...

This is going to be a slightly long review as I will cover a few aspects. LOCATION - Very near to WenShuYuan MRT exit H. When you exit from Exit H, cross the road (at your exit there is a traffic light) and walk left. There is a stall which sells fruit at the last of your lane and turn right in and there is your hotel. Staff (I think is the manager is very rude. She...

We are a group of 3 couples booked 3 double rooms for the first period from June 30 to July 2 nights. We liked the hotel so much that we also stayed in the same hotel for the second period from July 6 to 8 nights. The hotel is located on a reasonably quiet street and we were relaxed enough to walk on the street without feeling intimidated by heavy traffic in a big cit...

best place to stay in chengdu! so near to the metro (which was in a mall, silver), and so near to the shopping district. the staff spoke great english and were very friendly and attentive. they have an outdoor lounge area upstairs which was really nice... if the chengdu weather was not hazy and the nights dark. also, they have organised tours within the hostel, so i...

We had a really great stay at this hotel! It was well kept and very clean and tidy. The staff were incredible! The couple (?) who manage it speak very good English and are exceptionally helpful, they provided us with tips for the area and recommendations! Facilities are a 4 star because there is no fridge in the room, other than that, we could not fault the room! 5 sta...
Cheap places to stay in Chengdu

This is such a nice place to stay. I have stayed here many times in 2015, and the staff recognized me on my return one year later. Everything about the hostel itself is nice, but I would be wary about traveling to Chengdu (or even China) because the air pollution has been consistently bad since November of 2016 - much longer and MUCH worse than was the case the previo...

what a value, i booked a single room with private bathroom and i was amazed by the accommodations. got there and it was pretty painless to check in everything was explained to me in detail, the room had a big size bed comfortable enough for asian standars, clean big desk, and clean bathroom modern feeling, american standar toilet and sink which tells you is on the med ...

My stay in this hotel was beyond expectation. Having read some reviews about some the hotel condition in China, I only could hope that the hotel I chose would be at least clean. To my surprise, Nova Traveler Lodge was not only clean, also cozy, the room was big enough and the staff spoke English. I could not ask more than this. One, of the staff even helped me with...

I stayed at Chengdu Lazy Inn's standard twin room (with ensuite bathroom) for total of 5 nights, initially with a friend and then by myself. The room was comfortable and clean, and the courtyard (with tea shop and flower shop) was pretty and quiet. We found it easy to get around, as the hostel was 5 mins walk from Bai Guo Lin (白果林)subway station (Line 2). Nice neighbou...

--even if Chengdu has! I last stayed here about 7 or 8 years ago, and the neighborhood is still as Khampa as ever, thankfully! Jinli Street is just as crowded--but wow, the subways! And one of them is nearish to Holly Hostel, so that's a plus. Improvements: smoking is no longer tolerated in the dorms, which I'm so ecstatic about--nothing worse than waking up with a cha...

The owner (specky guy) of the hostel is helpful. I had problem setting up social media when I arrived in China. The boss fixed my issue with the help of his colleagues and friends. Eventually I was able to use it to communicate with my family. It was a great help from Chengdu Dreams Travel Youth Hostel.

I had lower expectation of the room condition for the price I paid. I booked a standard double room but they upgraded me free-of-charge to a triple room (with 1 queen-size bed and 1 single bed) upon check-in. I was surprised by the comfortable condition of the room/bathroom. The room is very clean and aircon was in good working order. The hot shower was adequate f...

-no breakfast included, but Agoda booking said yes -location quite difficult to find, must go in via a path, which you can't see from the main street -no elevator, room start with first floor, so at least need to walk 1 level -room condition is good, just not enough lights, feel too dark -got laundry area, pay rmb10 to use the washing machine -near JinLi shopping stree...

The location of this place is great, near a metro and walking distance to a lot of the cities sights. The hotel itself needs a little updating. The whole hotel stinks of smoke, unfortunately people can smoke in their rooms and all around the hotel. We were in a queen room, which was perfectly nice, just a little dated. The pillows could do with being replaced. The st...

i'll come back to this hotel if i have a chance to visit chengdu again. clean room, comfortable bed, everything in the room is functioning well (especially for traveler who travel in winter, you'll feel great when you are back to the room as they have very well-functioning heater and hot water supply, even in the water basin). the staff is helpful and friendly. locatio...

It was very convenient because it is right next to one of the main bus stations of Chengdu, and also close to a metro station, so pretty easy to get to and from. Also next to the hotel is the Traffic hostel, which has friendly staff with good English, and has good internet access and books for sale in various languages.

It was a very good place to stay in Chengdu. I got here by taxi which cost around RMB 70. The room was spacious and clean. Above all, a helpful English speaking staff, her name is Sunny, gave us a lot of help when we had to book a taxi. Chengdu is not a big city so getting around by taxi is convenient. I also could find halal food around the hotel so it was great.

Staff showing much dedicate and helpful during arrival at mid-night time. Apartment outside seen obsolete and not renovate but inside apartment and rooms are more nicer and comfortable with basic facilities available. It is worth to rent for budget traveler and ease of traffic jam & much convenient suggested using the subway train system just outside the apartment with...

7 Days Inn have many hotels throughout big cities in China. They all have the same standard and are easy to find when you arrive in big Chinese cities late at night. Located at both train and bus stations as well as other convenient areas throughout cities they are perfect for over night stays. The hotel's are clean, comfortable and well priced, but do not offer food. ...

I just needed somewhere to stay on a long layover in Chengdu and this place was perfect. The staff spoke very little English but tried their very best to help me and even provided me with a free taxi to the airport. The hotel is extremely good value for money and has everything you need. It is very close to the airport and is right in the town so is also suitable for e...

Overall is good, the day we went to the airport and we forgot to take our Tibet permit from the hotel, that was a big mistake for us and yet hotel receptionist came along with the driver to passed the permit to me at the airport. I was shocked and really appreciate so much! Everything is good, don't expect the hotel with full facilities as you only pay for this amount ...

Got picked up from the airport by the hotel for 100 RMB. Room a decent size, wifi working well. I had breakfast included but if you don't, it's only 10 RMB for a small buffet but I thought it was just fine. Coffee costs extra, between 15 and 20 RMB depending on your favourite type of coffee. Reception speaks English well enough. Breakfast staff not so much but thats ju...

Stayed at this hotel for layover night before flying to JiuZhaiGou following morning. $22.59 for 1 night shared by 2 people was very reasonable. Old hotel, small room, but enough for 2 spacious twin beds. Water boiler kettle available in the room. I didn't speak Chinese & had a Chinese friend in China call the hotel to set up the pick-up at airport. They showed ...

i was in chengdu for a couple of days sightseeing. the hotel is very close to both tianfu square and the people's park. most of the local hotels that i saw around the area had single rooms for around rmb. the room was a little small, but for the price you can't beat it, especially since i was only there to sleep. did not try the breakfast. there is pretty good street f...

We stayed in this hotel from 31 Oct-4 Dec 2014. It was the most comfortable of the lot during our 10 days tour in Chengdu area. Our bed was daily made and towels were daily changed. They also daily provide complimentary mineral water bottles & Lipton tea bags. There were also complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste though we didn't used them as we had brought ours. ...

Everything was great, I really enjoyed the stay there, especially the staff are so friendly and helpful... the service was thoughtful and considerate. However two things I'm not quite satisfiled: 1. My return stay to the hotel having stay on Nov.13, 2014. Hotel is in a good location for shoppers and centrally located for other surrounding tours. Reservation: national Day before the National Day in the major platforms to book prices in Chengdu, a way to increase prices, each major domestic booking prices are 100% less than the usual price increase, and is a real time price change. I didn't enjoy my stay at this hotel. The wi-fi had very poor connectivity and speed. It was very difficult to do any work on my laptop. Also, the location is very remote. Staff do not speak English, so if you can't speak mandarin you will struggle. Rooms are clean and spacious. Easy access to the metro. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Wow...what a well kept secret! Top notch, one of the best hotels I have stayed in China over the past 15 years, and I have stayed at many top of the line 5 star hotels. I was visiting my grandparents who live at Sichuan University. I was raised in the US and prefer a western style of living (food and gym facilities/pool). Hotel delivered on all of the above and i even had the gym mostly to myself. With that said, the in room wifi connection could have been a little bit better. I'd be happy to recommend friends and family.

Had a 3d2n staycation in the hotel. We reserved a business room and they gave us a free upgrade during check-in. Tibet hotel is quiet and comfortable, one of the best hotels in Chengdu. However, Chengdu is a dull city with nothing o do. In this hotel, every room is designed differently, very clean and cozy. Real reviews for hotels
chengdu is a relaxing city with very rich culture and tradition. The food and dining culture is a total difference experience.
I have lived in Chengdu for 4 years now as an expat. It is an ok city to live in, but touring only to the city would be fruitless.
A developing city with stages of upgrading. Probably will be a fully developed city in the coming a year or two.
Many tourist attraction areas in Chengdu. I went to Remin Park for a comfortable ear cleaning which never experience it in any places.
A cith that is rich in culture. With many many interesting restaurants as well as street food. A melting pot of the Han, Eastern Tibetan, Qiang and other minorities group - reflected in its rich culture and traditions Also serve very well as a base to explore many interesting historical sites, or famous mountain or ancient towns surrounding the Chengdu area
Plenty of sightseeing in the city both historical and current. Some taxi drivers are unfriendly. They don't like to take passengers to city during rush hours.
Chengdu is a good setting for day trips -- to see the pandas and other local attractions -- and longer excursions to Jiuzhaigou and other nature attractions.
The weather is much warmer than Seoul. However the sky is alwasy cloudy and gray. I am not sure whether this gray sky is due to smog or fog.
Chengdu is a modern and organised city with some historical flare in it - but don't expect too much. It's quite clean, like you don't feel dust when brushing along side the balcony after 1 or 2 days.
