Where to stay in Darjeeling
Darjeeling hotels & accommodations

Its more than worth the money. Hotel is very Clean. We 2 from Tamilnadu plan the trip to Darjeeling and Ganktok. Among the 4 hotels we stayed i rated this in rank 1. Gesture and services too good. Coming to Cleanness - Very Good. Sanitization was proper. It is located in walkable distance from clock tower.

Whilst Darjeeling itself is not of much interest and pretty dingy, the Mayfair offers a 5 star experience that makes up for what the town lacks. Clean, comfortable, outstanding professional service, really excellent food, atmospheric - we loved it! It would have to be Darjeeling's best hotel probably followed closely by the Elgin.

The Pinewood Hotel only recently opened in the Spring of 2014 so everything looks clean and new, and the staff tries very hard to please. The hotel is centrally located but Darjeeling is built on a hillside so most streets are a steep uphill or downhill climb. A taxi can take you up a steep road to about 50 meters from the hotel. But the most direct way to get to th...

Wanted a good quality hotel in Darjeeling, despite a few not very complimentary reviews I decided on Sinclairs. I was not disappointed, The hotel is very well run, spotlessly clean and the staff are wonderful. Good choice for breakfast, also I ate in the restaurant twice during my stay and was very pleased both times. One thing I would recommend is that even if Kanjenj...

Excellent location just adjacent to Darjeeling Mall . Hence pollution & noise free as no vehicles are allowed in the Mall.Amid the clouds . You can see and feel the clouds coming into your room. Hotel Lawn was excellently maintained. However, the property requires urgent re-fabrication with the modern amenities, ( something like Tripura Castle in Shillong) . staffs ...

Darjeeling as such has become a very commercial place. Its good for family with young children. If you prefer more peace, you better visit Gangtok or Kalimpong. This hotel was very good in terms of cleanliness and value for money. I would recommend this resort for people going to Darjeeling.

PLEASE NOTE: PLEASE ONLY USE PR AS MY NAME WHEN POSTING THIS REVIEW! AND I AM FROM PENNSYLVANIA, USA. I DO NOT WANT MY FULL NAME SHARED! THANK YOU! This was my second stay at the Viceroy and, after a change in plans, I returned for an additional, third week. I feel comfortable here and I love the view of Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. The h...

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Villa Everest. The room I was given was on the top floor with an amazing view of Kanchenjunga. It was large, well-appointment and very comfortable. They serve you tea when you arrive. I don't usually like tea but the Darjeeling tea they served was delicious. What's best about this place is the warmth of the staff. This is a family run ...

I stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days, I had booked the Privilege Suite. I don't have any complains regarding this hotel, I would give it 5 star but the prices are bit high, but it's worth it. If you're here for getting relaxed, this is the perfect hotel, the staff is very particular and prompt. The only set back is the wifi, it's not free, you could only use for an ho...

First of all the Cons: I booked a package from Agoda that includes Breakfast and Dinner combo..when I asked for Dinner The manager of the Hotel reacted explosively and said no dinner combo is ever given...I produced my voucher and after some heated arguments he agreed to provide Dinner. Tried to contact Agoda but unfortunately they didn't replied. Every night dinner...

There are several reason to check in this hotel: 1. Hotel is just besides a park with fantastic view of Kanchenjunga. You can wake up in the early morning around 5 and can see the natural view. 2. Kanchenjunga is visible from hotel room. Request them to get the room. 3. Staff was fantastic. Especially Yunsi in front office, sagar, chefs's, owner herself....awesome!!!!v...

it was a soothing experience in elgin darjeeling, rooms were nice n environment was heart touching, having mall road at a stones throw was a pleasurable experience though the night life is dull as usual in any hill station but u can enjoy the night view of hills from the hotel lobby.

Frequent water shortage, while taking bath suddenly, tap went dry. After, half an hour one bucket water was arranged. Also breakfast is like first come first serve, if you are late forget to get proper breakfast. On order, meal is good and reasonably priced.

Nice place. Good food in hotel. All the staff are nice sweet n manner. Hotel cooking is superb. The price is reasonable. Value for money. The way to get to hotel is very narrow. Only one car at one time. For any evening walking you has to climb up n down. Not good for elderly people. Avoid going out after 7pm. It's dark. Basically Darjeeling is cold. With few time rain...

They only have wifi at the lobby and not in the room. Their water heater is available at certain hours in the day. Not sure if their rooms have heater during winter time because I was there during summer therefore AC or heater wasnt needed. Hotel is clean, proper, room service, good restaurant, breakfast. But other than that I think it is abit too pricey for a hotel in...

Darjeeling was the coldest place I have ever experienced by far. I booked 3 rooms with a room facing Chowk Bazaar and 2 rooms facing hill side. Suprisingly it was the room facing Chowk Bazaar that was the coldest. Even the water heaters are struggling to heat up due to the low power conditions there. Wifi was out throughout my 3 day stay and no technicians are availabl...

I had a booking confirmation from agoda on basis of which I had planned my vacation. When I reached the hotel the manager denied any such booking and asked me to speak with customer care of agoda, where after repeated trial I was told the booking id was invalid. I had to arrange for another hotel near by at much higher price and it was a very bad experience .Since I...

Being a summit hotel, rooms are quiet small. But the hotel is beautiful in terms of architecture and interior. Price can be a little less considering the smaller space. Food is good as expected from Summit. Best thing about this hotel is the height at which it's built. It provides a stunning view from every room. It's built on the highest level of Darjeeling hill fro...

This was a great little spot on the hill away from the main town. Easy walking distance access to HMI, zoo, ropeway, etc. The food was AMAZING. I'd stay here again just to eat here again. So after a very helpful owner of another hotel somehow rang around, found another hotel owned by the same outfit, where upon they sent a team of fellows to take our gear to The White Yak,where upon we settled in and during our stay, this hotel was in the last throes of being built internally. So if your into fixtures being attached, hammering at 6.30 am,you,ll love it..Brea...

Darjeeling is a town of hills and I found myself walking up and down them all day anyway so there is probably no such thing as a perfect location anyway. Hotel Golden Dolma does require one last push when you return in the late afternoon or evening. Otherwise the staff were charming and friendly, breakfast was plentiful and the showers were hot. WiFi was patchy but tha...

Stayed at Hotel White Yak for 2 nights and we really enjoyed the peaceful stay. Had a view of Kangchenjunga from our balcony. Hotel is located a short walk to Chowrasta and also walking distance to Darjeeling train station. Staff were very nice, attentive and always willing to lend a helping hand. Had dinner at hotel restaurant which serve vegetarian food - delicious!

Room was ok,nice view from the window, staffs were helpful.Special thanks to Anirvan da +919153273428 in the reception good man always ready with frank suggestions. The road towards hotel from mall quite dirty :( , except the location nothing really stop you to stay here. ENjOYyyyyy :)

We stayed for a week in the Snow Leopard Cottage about 30 feet below and ten yards distant from the main hotel building. It was a beautifully peaceful place. Most days, in the early morning (in late September) you could clearly see the snow-capped peaks of the Kanchenjunga range from the hotel. So no need to get up at 3.30am to travel to Tiger Hill to see the Himala...

Hotel location is good, very close to Mall Road. Food was also good, staff was helpful. Their rooms are pretty small and not as per specification mention on website. Some of the rooms are very small. Was in the property for three nights. It is on the mall, the most happening place in Darjeeling. Rooms were big and spacious. Had clear view of the mountain ranges, in fact had good view of Mt Kanchendzonga from the room window in the morning. Couple of drawbacks 1) It is only lodging hotel, do not have their own kitchen. So you have to rely on outside food. Glenary's ...

Thanks for making our stay in Darjeeling so wonderful! If you're looking for a charming property with stunning views of the Kanchenjunga, Cedar Inn is it! It's location is definitely part of what makes it special - a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the mall area, it offers you peace and quiet. (There is a free shuttle service to take you to town). The food and ...

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It's located in 10minute walk from Chowrasta, 15minute walk from Darjeeling station. Location is really nice. The room was really big and clean, all amenities (tea maker, tv, hot shower, toilet) in the room worked well, staffs were welcomed and warm. The breakfast had a small range, but they prepared different two Indian meal (north...

We booked a heritage classic room. The pictures of the room on Agoda did not match the actual room given to us. We had a terrible stay. Hotel front office did not believe in hospitality. A break fast in Keventers and Dinner in Keventers is a must! Stroll around the Mall, relax idly on the mall benches in the morning or evening and some casual purchases of tea from Nathumalls on the Mall.
AN old and lovely hill station in the state of West Bengal. Situated at a height of almost 7000 feet, the weather is pleasantly cool almost through out the day.
Darjeeling has beautiful scenary around it but darjeeling itself is not so good. roads are very unclean.
Darjeeling has a lot of potential to attract tourism but it is marred by over commerialization. Most of the tourist spots are growded by local vendors selling tea/food etc.
A very beautiful hill station best seen during the winter month of January when the skies are clear to give the traveller best views of the kanchenjunga range and the valleys.
Buy the tea from a lady called Ku suum near Happy Valley Tea Plantation..she is a nice, genuine lady
I planned this leg of my trip after a stay in Gangtok. If you must cover, both Gangtok and Darjeeling in a single trip, make sure you visit Gangtok, after Darjeeling.
Darjeeling is bigger and busier than I imagined. You can still detect the colonial hill station heritage but overlaid is now a bustling Indian town.
