Guilin hotels & accommodations

i highly recommend this hotel. the staffs are really helpful. the best from the tour service. she’s very kind, and cute, too.. you better make use of the tours organised by the hotel, for their prices are reasonable. i once made arrangement with a driver, and was disappointed, for he brought me to an expensive restaurant and took advantage from the ticket prices. but ...

We have stayed in several hotels in Guilin and Yangshou. This is definitely one of the better hotel out there in terms of location, cleanliness and design. It is just 10 mins walk from the bus station to Yangshou. The night market is just right outside the hotel. Highly recommended.

Guilin Exhibition Hotel was very modern and well equipped. We liked the accessibility of the lighting and electronic curtains. The bathroom had everything we required and more. It had a nice sized safe box which held my computer. We used room service twice and there seems to be only one person that is able to speak English in the evening in the dining area so it...

We spent 3 weeks in China and this was my favorite hotel of many great ones. Where do I begin! Friendly easygoing staff, nice common areas. So many little details to make your life easier - a water cooler, free laundry. And the room was perfect. We wanted to move in. Get one of the street side rooms with the tatami windows - basically a little glass-enclosed balcony ha...

Zen Teahouse was the best hotel we stayed in China while our trip from Zhangjiajie to Guilin. Very cozy, clean, friendly. The immaculate white bed, the light arrangement, the toilet with all disposals - we liked every detail. Every morning we had a western-style breakfast, but the staff also offers Chinese breakfast. Tea, milk, coffe, jam, juice are available for fr...

Only book this hotel for 1night cause going to yangshou on the next morning. Arrive at Zizhou hotel at 6plus. Wasnt able to reach the Lobby as it was situated in the center of the park. I booked this hotel based on customer reviews. I was very happy with my decision. Hotel facility was first rate, clean, modern, newly renovated, tastefully decorated and comfortable bed. The hotel is in proximity of various scenic spots such as reed flute cave, solitary peak, elephant trunk mountain, Mulong river, seven star peak, etc. it is not far from Guilin west high speed rail station as well. The cab fare shld be about 30rmb. Beware of illegal drivers who try to lead you away from the metered taxis to charge you double the fare. The hotel staff ...

Everything was great, there is good cafe as well. very near to the walking street and the river. firstly I thought the wifi is slower and room is a bit cold. but I soon realised that other hotels in guilin are same after the staying in 4 star hotel. Goo hotel's wifi was more faster. Some staff's eng skill wasnt enough to communicate but kind.

We had stayed for a Night , The Hotel is about 15 - 17 Mins away from Guilin North Railway Station .The rooms were too good . As specially the Family room , they had Soft toys for the Kids & also some toys to play for them in Bath Tub . We are Strict vegetarian ( Vegan ) , the chef had prepared Noodles for us & Fried Rice as well . Opposite the Hotel there is the Night...

Everything from start to end was good at this Hotel (I don't know why they call it hostel). We stayed here for 3 nights. Baike Hotel is located in Ping An Village of Longji Rice Terrace Fields. It was an excellent hotel. The buildings and rooms were great. Newly renovated but also well-kept, the rooms were well appointed and clean. Bedding was comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke a bit English. The pub served dinner from the larger and nosy restaurant. The breakfast served toast, jam, fruit and coffee besides traditional Chinese breakfast. There is a huge pool, but unfortunately it is also used for swimming lessons and for the public ( which also is nice) but the area turned from a nice a quite place...

My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay at Memory Inn. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The family room fit four twenty-somethings just fine, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice but lacked counter space. The location was excellent for walking around Guilin, and there is a convenience store less than a block away and lots of food ...

This place was perfect for us both! Location- great about 30rmb into town by taxi, 20minutes walk from reed flute caves Facilities- great again we stayed in a bigger room with outside bath tub and it was so nice to sit in there with a drink under the stars Staff-didn’t speak much English but were very helpful

The hotel is very easy to find-it's in the centre, just opposite the famous night market, close to the bus station, the river and the "elephant" mountain and numerous restaurants.I've been around China, I've visited dozens of hotels in the same price category. We ended our stay in Guiilin, full of anticipation and excitement when checking in to this 5 stars hotel. Guilin Ease Hostel was one of the best hostel i stayed in China. Very friendly staff, most speak perfect english and help you with booking the tours based on your trip. The hotel rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the Reed Flute Cave, but not near anything else. There are no food options nearby other than the hotel restaurant. The natural setting of this area is very interesting. When we reach the hotel, the staff were friendly welcoming us. As we requested the twin beds and the two hotel rooms to be in the same row, the staff tried their best to re-arrange for the hotel room for us again. We are a family of 5 with an elder and 2 pre-teen kids. The hotel is beautiful, unique and quite new. We got two rooms next to each other with a huge shared patio on our own overlooking a small lake. One of the room has a small kitchenette and an amazing Japanese "tatami" area with wall to ceiling windows, really spacious and beautiful. The staffs were very helpful...
Cheap places to stay in Guilin

5 star recommended for traveller to stay in this hotel! Staying 1+ extra 3 night was a memorable experience because staff helping too much on how to go everywhere (tour) in Guilin becomes easy! And Owner making very Good Taste Hot Milk Tea! We Love everything ablut Cyan Box! Especially how they treat us! Thanks!

We stayed four nights in Guilin. As soon as we arrived we got a free chilled watermelon which on a hot dry day was a perfect welcome gift. The hostel is well situated for arrival and departure with a privately hired ride to/from Guilin or the airport. If one is arriving via public transit, the hostel is a hike up the road. Not great overall, although wasn't disappointed with the room or cleanliness. We encountered problems with the booking that the staff weren't wit-full enough to resolve and the service was horrendously slow, food poor. The staff were friendly yet dim and a hassle to partake in discussion with. Thankfully Agoda were ever eager to step in and resolve the issue swiftly, e...

This hostel is quite hidden and not easy to find. Just give them a call! The place is very quite and there is kitchen available. The rooms are comfortable and the toilets need a bit of improvement. Actually there is only 2 toilets for 20 people when it is getting busy. But manageable. There is a special note for Ryan the most helpful young Chinese guy who works in this...

The staff were really helpful and lovely and spoke good English. The room itself was fine - and they actually gave us a free upgrade. The only problem is it's slightly out of the way if you want to walk to the city centre. Bus and taxis are available though.

impressive experience i had with this hotel is it's friendly staff. the best staff service experiences i had in china who providing all the details about the tour booking, arranged tour booking for us even in the midnight of the first day chinese new year with the cheaper price compared to other hotel's guests. we knew it when we asked the other hotel's guest in the sa...

My friend and I wanted to stay right in the rice terraces to get great photos for sunset ad sunrise. Be warned it is a steep and exhausting 2 hr hike fro the main car park up to the terraces and it is NOT easy to find. The name of the hotel is in agoda is NOT the same as on the hotel door so confusing. Our room was very basic Chinese style with no shower and a drop toi...

Close to the raylway station (but learn before how get there) and the bus staion. A very good hotel for not so much money. Perfect for a short stay. Maybe not so value for money in case of a long stay. But, helàs... you are in Guilin... And you are very near to bus and train for leaving this trap for tourists. Big up for this hotel!

We booked for 5 rooms, never expected the location of the hotel is about 1hr walk.. But after reach there, the friendly hotel owner make us feel like home. No breakfast included.but u can request from the hotel owner to cook for u. The hotel owner got 2 lovely kids, both will be boy. The 1st boy 9yrs old is always try to speak english with us. i thought when i chose this hotel, i should put a very very low standard of expectation. i have a big doubt when choosing this hotel but at the same time i also have a high curiosity about how the experience will be when we stay there. it's because all the reviews i read in tripadvisor, most of it written in chinese. i came to a conclusion that this hotel is a favorite...

The location is at the very end of pingan village which will required you to walk a distance away from the carpark. We are given a room which has insects but this is expected in the jungle. This could be due to its location at the very corner of the village. It has a water stream beside our room which could be noisy during our sleep. The room is good for a night slee...

It is a nice hostel with big rooms and not very expensive. The rooms are nice furnitured and the bath is clean and new. The downstairs area is not so good, there was no real hostel feeling when we were there and the staff seemed to be annoyed by our questions. Their English is good.

Hidden away in an alley right in the tourist centre of town. Efficient, helpful staff and clean, small rooms with good a/c. Cleaning during the stay was haphazard, some days they cleaned on others they passed the room by for no reason! Plenty of options for activities and eating within easy walking distance.

This hotel is really beautiful, but you should absolutely mention, that there is no way to get there by car. The last 20 Min. walk on a steep stair uphill is nothing for older people with big luggage. Unfortunately people do not speak any English. Communication is very poor. It is more a summer house. Room can be heated with aircondition, but entrance and restaurant pa...

It was quite hard to find the hotel, they were unable to provide directions, even when we called prior to our arrival. They never offered to guide us from Da Zhai village, which is very common for hotels in the area. No English speaking whatsoever. Rooms are noisy, you can hear everything from rooms on top, left and right. Toilet flush wasn't working, however the show...

Initially, the owner told us that Agoda made a mistake and no rooms were available, so she proceeded to take us to a nearby hotel where she had connections and put us up in a very nice and quiet room. She has various tour packages at affordable prices and we were able to ask her about the surrounding attractions.

Perfect place to view and trek on the rice terraces, food is home cooked and deliscious (abit pricey but portion sizes are big), thoroughly enjoyed the chilly chicken! The hotel is located high in the Longji rice terraces and the balconies offer commanding views over the impressive landscape. It was a great with 3 bedrooms with soft mattresses, 3 full bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, washer and two outdoor sitting area. Great location, easily accessible to 3 busy routes. Loved our stay. The owner Daisy is also an official tour guide!

The hotel is overall meeting our expectations. The only two points that prospective guests need to consider are: i) it's location on top of a small hill which is 10 minutes walk from main bus station but the position provides superb night view of the town. ii) the slight odour in the toilet due to clogged piping which I am sure the management can fix easily. Othe...

We stood here because we had to catch a flight very early the next day. Check in was kind of complicated because none of the staff speaks English except for a nice guy on the telephone. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel is considering that I paid only about US$45 for the room. I paid US$150 for a room at the Hilton in Xian and I didn't even get internet in my room. This hotel is just as nice as the Hilton without the name recognition. The staff is efficient but not necessarily friendly since they have to deal with the local Chinese,...

If you plan to spend 2 days at Longsheng osen district, this is the best hotel to choose. This is seriously a great hotel that value for money and it is really near to train station too. The only bad side I can tell you is that the place have direct taxi access, which mean you might have to drag your luggage a bit to flag a taxi. Other than that, I will definitely stay here again next time.

We enjoyed our stay in this cute quirky hotel. The staff spoke English and were helpful with any information we wanted a provided us with a map and advice on how to get to places of interest. Two friends and I had a great experience recently at the Bravo Hotel. We arrived in Guilin from Chengdu, a bit worse for wear after an arduous journey. When we arrived we immediately noticed the outdoor swimming pool, whi...

I stayed at the Grand Link hotel with three friends for a weekend getaway (we live nearby Guilin), and we were impressed with the rooms (one looked over the river, the other over the traditional garden), the rooms had great wifi connection, and the breakfast had lots of good Chinese and Western options. The hotel is very clean. It has an authentic Chinese style, including afternoon tea on the tea roof (complimentary, of course). The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. They also spoke more English than any other hotels I stayed at in China. They even gave me a gift when I checked out - ceramic tea cups!

Real reviews for hotels
For a relaxing holiday, recommended to spend a 3D2N on Guilin to visit Elephant Trunk Hill, Jinjiang Mansion, Seven Star Park, Zhengyang Pedestrain Street etcs.
We can eat many local foods in 2 walking street and other place. The most famouse attraction is the river cruse of Lijinag River.
Scenic. There are places around Guilin that's very interesting too. Would be great to make these places more easily accessible.
a bit over commercialized as even places with not much attraction also charges rmb 75 entrance fee.
The nature is fantastic. But sadly quite polluted and the government has not put in effort to develop the city.
Don't miss the Li River, and take the time to do walks around their lakes in the city centre. They have beautiful gardens around the lakes and along the riverfront is particually pretty at night.
do a lot of homework. Where you want to go, to stay and to eat. Hard to understand Chinese language.
"Guilin's scenic landscape surpasses everywhere under the Heaven," so does the Chinese saying go. Personally I think it is a bit overrated, but the scenery of Guilin does have its own plausible uniqueness and finds little match around China.
Honestly, there is nothing to see in Guilin. Everything is in Yangshuo. I consider I could've skipt Guilin City.
Guilin city is overrated as a tourist attraction. The nearby mountains we saw was nothing compared with Mt.
Guilin is a nice stopover before going Yangshuo. I would recommend sight-seeing at Yangshuo rather than Guilin.
Longji Rice Terraces, Seven Star Moon Peak, Moon Hill, Cruise to see the beautiful sceneries along the Lijiang River, Reek Flute Cave is a must!
Unless you have overwhelming need to be in Guilin, opt for Yangshuo where there are many for things to see and do.
You can do a lovely boat tour in Guilin and also visit the lake and caves nearby. Other than this though.
Must visit places are Li River tour, Red Flute Cave, Longji Terrace, elephant trunk hill and many more.
You can visit some of the city's nearer attractions by walking or using the bus service. You can obtain a map with bus routes marked; however, they might be a bit dated and the details inaccurate.
Guilin is a typical Chinesse big town. In itself I would not recommend the visit but around the city there are many nature attractions which are a must.
Avoid a Chinese tour as they depart late even though you have to be at the pick-up point. Go in warm weather.
Beautiful place with remarkable and breathtaking views! Local Chinese (中国人) should learn to avoid spitting and smoking in aircond restaurants and rooms, lift, lobby and hotel rooms as they are leaving very bad impression to tourists.
I have been to Guilin many times over the last twenty years. It has vastly improved in terms of cleanliness, visitor friendliness, development of amenities and tasteful modernisation of facilities.
Its a place with beautiful and memorable scenery. Its a place that you will talk about for a long time after your return.
Yaoshan, Jingjiang Mansion, Seven star Park, go Yao Shan , u must wear the glove, sock, n jacket, very very cool.
Guilin has been a tourist city for a thousand years already. A lot of ancient poets had wrote poem on the city attractions.
If it is a stop on the way to yangshuo or longsheng, it is o.k but not worth the time, Entry's to parks are rediculasly expensive and not very good.
Guilin lives on Tourism, thus the locals are very friendly. There is so much to see, from the natural attractions such as the hills and mountains to the numerous caves underground springs.
This is a great place. Very accessible for non-Chinese speakers as many people speak Chinese. It is easy to get into the country side here unlike other Chinese cities and is relatively un polluted .
We went during the National Holiday so we presume it was much busier than usual, a distraction. There were nice restaurants in tge area, mostly serving fresh seafood, housed in buckets (which we didn't like).
Went of the Li River cruise. The city is still unspoilt by urban development but can see that the expressway to the airport is rapidly built up so that this situation may not last too long - a pity.
Guilin is beautiful with its mountains, rivers and lakes. I felt like walking into a large Chinese ink painting.
try not to go during sep it is hot and humid. Airport service is weird. We arrived 2 hrs before flight at 9am, but the check in counter for international are ALL closed.
