Traveling to Thailand? Find Mahasarakham hotels

This place is ok, bedrooms are quiet spacious and clean however it can get pretty noisy. The cleaning staff does not seem to care if you want to sleep and speak quite loud in the lobby. even early in the morning. The rooms close to the the elevator should be avoided as the elevator bell rings every time it arrives which become quickly annoying when you are trying to sleep next to it. Also how about putting lamps on the bedside table and not only having ceiling lights...?

This is a great place. I travel to many hotels and never write reviews. But this is the first place I write. It's great. The price. I feel like I have fallen into the South Sea, which I like very much, but otherwise. This has great staff, which is what many hotels have. Is a friendly Customer Care I hope this review will be a review you would like to stay at like this.

This resort is really nice. Cocunut and other palms around a pool. Step out of the room and the pool is there. Each bungalow have a patio table and chairs so possible to sit next outside the room. All srroundings and room kept spotless clean. Big room with sofa and big bathroom. Good place to stay if have errands in Mahasarakham as it is only about 10-15 minutes from town. Also a good base to explore the real rural Isaan in the area. Farmers growing rice and water buffalos.....

Great hotel in a quiet part of this small town, in fact, everywhere is quiet!!!! Everything is very reasonably priced and the restaurant is super value. Just make sure all the food comes out of the kitchen at the same, as you can have one part of the meal hot with another part cold!!!! They now sell wine at reasonable prices for Thailand. We've stayed here several times and will certainly be back. Pay a little extra and ask for the VIP (big) room. Richard

Our stay was OK. This hotel had more staff on duty than the number of guests while we were there, but only one of them spoke much English. Mahasarakham has a large university population, so we expected there would be more than one person on staff who can speak English. Mold growing in the grout in bathroom. Building maintenance seems a bit lax. Only a few TV channels worked, none in English. WiFi was a problem getting started, but once I solved it by rebooting the nearest router, it was OK. Taxi drivers in Mahasarakham charge more per kilometer than drivers in Ubon, Khon Kaen, Korat, and other similar Thai cities. No decent restaurants or even a 7-11 near the hotel. Hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Sermthai Complex (shopping mall), which was doable without much sweat near sundown at this time of year (late November).

every room has its own shipping container with your own garden, car park. the containers are done to a really high standard, everything is new and modern, bed was comfy, room was modern with all applicIances new, one of the best places ive stayed at so much so i will stay next week again, tgey brought me a sandwhich and a bottle of orange for free which great. the best hotel in isaan

In general the hotel is an old hotel and it shows, everything is clean however and there is no "other guests", in the two rooms i occupied anyway (bugs ect) the staff is friendly and helpful and as always in thailand very smiling and generous. its a quiet hotel and i couldnt hear the other guests through the walls. everything works, water heater aircon and tv. all in all i was very satisfied.

I've travelled for well over 5 years in Thailand and I'm always pleasantly surprised by what you find that is unexpected. For westerners travelling to this area, please don't be put off by what I am about to write. The hotel is everything it proposes to be on Agoda, clean, comfortable and boutique style. I'm used to finding bargains and used to the Thai culture. You arrive to a drive up reception where there is a notice showing 2 prices. This identifies a Thai Hotel as a place to stay for a short time for sex. I stress it is not a brothel and neither did I see anything untoward, but western travellers may feel uncomfortable but you shouldn't this is normal. Great price, and just what is required if you are traveling far and need a rest place on route.

The Front desk staffperson spoke good English--especially for the small town of Mah Sarakham. The room was adequate--most things worked, which is surprising in Thailand. However, during the night a fuse blew that scared my friend and I until we realized what had happened (an electrical short in a wall lamp). Amenities are close to nil also, but this is quite normal for Thai-style hotels. The *worst* thing about this place is that they advertise a breakfast buffet--but all they have is coffee and bread! *DO NOT RESERVE THE ROOM WITH THE BREAKFAST. THIS OPTION DOES NOT EXIST. THERE IS *NO* BREAKFAST AT THIS HOTEL.* I recommend this hotel with many reservations (no pun intended). It is acceptable, especially if you want to be near Rajhabat University or downtown Maha Sarakham (the hospital is just up canal road, for example). Otherwise, there are much better options in this little town. (Your Place, for example, has a nice breakfast, is closer to MSU New Campus, and is similarly priced.)

Booked 3 rooms for the family. Room was clean and comfortable bed. Mini fridge with watrer, coffee and tea making facilities. Aircon was good. Bathroom shower tiles could use a good cleaning the rest of the bathroom ok. Swimming pool very nice. Hotel right in Salakham walking distance to Lotus and other requiered shopping. No breakfast but this was no problem. Look forward to staying their again next time wew are up North East.

I found the hotel to be clean but old. The hotel shares a swimming pool and fitness room with an adjourning hotel that was excellent. The location is well located in the city center with a number of decent bars and restaurants close by. I found that there was a shortage of taxis and tuk tuks at night time so not a bad idea to get a business card from a meter taxi during the day. I checked around the area and found that there are newer and better hotels at a similar price. Talking about price, the booking price I paid was the same as the "walk in" price so with the addition of card/exchange rate costs it would have been cheaper not to book. This is the second time within a few months that this has happened and as a result I have just phoned and booked a hotel in Cha-am and got a cheaper price than advertised on here. I hope that this review is printed as it is an honest review that I can prove.

I was very impressed by the size of the room and the quietness, considering they have 90 rooms it was very very quiet The room was very spacious, fan, air con, good sized fridge tv with many channels Very good for the price, great value for money I will be staying there every time I'm in the area The staff are helpful, even have 1 lady speaks good English In the case of the Pattana hotel you get a lot more than you expect for the price

The facilities are terrific: Little bungalows, very new and clean, with a private shower open to the sky and bamboo trees in it. Also good hot water and aircon. The highspeed Internet, which is important to me, was reliable and fast. There's also a shady porch to sit on, and a pretty garden in the courtyard. The staff was energetic and very kind. They had little English, and I have less Thai, but we made do with a phrasebook and gestures, and everything worked out fine. The only drawback for me is that I don't drive, and Baan Kula is not near the town, so I didn't get to see as much of the city as I would have liked. To be fair, there may be a song taew on the main road, but I didn't ask. All in all, though, I had a great time!
