Traveling to India? Find Pushkar hotels

The location is excellent. Surrounded by the hills. We were fortunate to experience rains during our stay. Special thanks to the Management for the Complimentary Upgrade. The pool is well maintained (Just a few tiles chipped and a few people floating around without proper swimming costumes). Breakfast on day 2 was great and on day 3 was equally avoidable. A few more Billiard tables / games would have added flavour to the stay. Well connected with Ajmer and Pushkar. Best is to travel by own car. I would love to re-visit the Resort during rains, I am sure the surroundings would be much more picturesque. Also, looking forward to the Udaipur property of Ananta.

We booked in here for 3 nights as we are travelling India on our honeymoon so thought we would splash out on some luxury accommodation whilst we were here. Great sized room and super comfortable bed, great sized shower although the bath tub was a lot smaller than expected only fitting 1 adult in it. The room was quite luxurious, nice sized balcony to sit out on. We chose to dine in the hotel restaurant on our first night there, that was a mistake. All was going well until the familes brought in with them their 10+ children who started running around the restaurant like it was a McDonald's!! The parents showed absolutely no respect to other guests staying in the hotel and no control over their children, I nearly had my drink knocked over twice by kids running past my table...completely ruining the enjoyment of my dinner. The hotel staff were very poor showing no power what so ever in controlling these kids or even making an offering to us to make amends. The next day we decided to have a swim in the pool, yet again it was ruined by the familes with their kids taking over the resort, very disappointing and not something I would expect from a 5 star resort. Also the music was absolutely terrible, they had the same playlist of commercial electro on repeat at the pool blasting way too loud...it really ruined any chance to relax there. Another sour point was paying 1400rps return for a return taxi into Pushkar, way too steep. So all in all, staying at this place is a gamble. If you get lucky with no kids when you stay you will probably have a better time than we did. The room and the buffet breakfast were the redeaming features about this hotel. Also watch out for the 28% tax you have to pay as that stung us on check out.

This property is just excellent but not at all managed by professional people, The location is quite scary as there is no connectivity of public transportation, every time you need to pay huge amount to hotel to go the main city which is just 3-4 kms away. Roads are very poor no connectivity of signals even, they should recruit professional educated staff to maintain their property. Thanks Karann 9873166046

We have been to Pushkar before and this time wanted somewhere that was central but with a good standard, such a thing can sometimes be difficult to find. We found our stay very pleasant and the staff more than accomodating. Best part was the shower which was fantastic and very powerful. Needed in the dusty streets of Pushkar. If I had to make one grumble it would be that the air conditioning and fan wasn't the best. We had to ask at reception to put our a.c unit on each time we wanted to use it, maybe because it was low season and they were saving on electricity. Oh well totally made sense however the fan was either all or nothing so was difficult to get a happy medium. That all being said we would happily stay there again, location was perfect for Pushkar and it didn't break the bank. It's the sorta place a traveller could stay within budget too.

What a fun place! Very atmospheric old house feel with vines hanging down the full 5 story open courtyard where the central fountain/pool is filled with flower. Infused with positive Pushkar energy. The rooftop restaurant is a lovely open view setting. The Pineapple Mint juice in the morning was incredible. Only about a 5 minute walk to the lake, while it's set next to an intriguing small alley neighborhood (where cars and motorbikes can't go!) with quiet temple spots just behind.

My husband and I spent one night at the Greenhouse Hotel during our 8 days tour in Rajasthan and we wish we could stay for one more night. We were charmed by the hotel the moment we walked in and we had a room upgrade which was a big bonus. The room was wonderfully decorated, modern with stylish wooden furniture (incl. 4 poster bed). Huge modern bathroom. The room can be cold but the small heater on it was comfortable. (we are from the UK so we are ok with a cooler room) The restaurant was fantastic. My husband and I both agree this was the best curries we had during our holiday. The breakfast was very generous and had lots of choices. I personally loved the slightly spicy omelettes. All the staff were exceptional. Friendly and looked after the guests and hotel very well. There was some drums and music at about 10pm but it soon went quiet and had a good night sleep. We found out the next morning that because December was the wedding season, the sounds were from a wedding. We explored the hotel grounds in the morning and were so impressed with the greenhouses and gardens. If we had time we would have used the pool, it looked very cleaned and well maintained. A little gem in Pushkar and gave us wonderful memories of our holiday.

We ended up staying over a week here as it was such a nice place to chill and relax. The guys at the front desk will assist with any tour around Pushkar you may be interested in or any onward travel arrangements you may need. On the roof top there is a restaurant run by the awesome restaurant manager Sunlight who offers fantastic service and delicious food. Highly recommend you stay here in Pushkar!

Sajjan Bagh is a budget hotel with large rooms and a good view near the mountains. The food is good and the staff is also good. Cleanliness could be an issue but since the staff is friendly there is no issue faced. It's good for 1 or 2 days of stay. There could be more guidance provided by the manager on what all to see at Pushkar. If the manager ensures that pillow covers are changed, the doors are not creaking, the heaters are working or not, lizards are not there in the room, candles must be placed when the lights are not there, this property will get better reviews. For the price charged, I would rate this a good hotel.

Great overall experience staying at orchard, pushkar. We were two couples with an infant each & stayed for couple of nights (25th dec'14). Luxury tents are one of a kind and completely equipped with amenities including electric blankets, standalone heaters, a spacious WC & no TV #Win. Evenings were fantastic with bonfire & BBQ snacks. Food was simple and home like. Although vegan, owing to the holy nature of the city, food was delicious ! Staff was very warm and forthcoming & the manager Mr. Harpal does a great job to make the stay comfortable. Pretty sure I will be back here again !

We went for the camel Fair, so location was prime and way more affordable than the desert tent options(very close to the fair grounds). There is no restaurant in the actual hotel but they own a really nice garden restaurant across the street (great place to eat and not inflated prices- even have southern cuisine). It's not in the center of town, but you can easily walk to the bazaar and lake. It's also nice and quiet. The owner is kind and willing to share advice without any pressure to plan or try and make an extra rupee.

The resort is in a peaceful spot a few minutes away from the centre of the town. We hired a bike which made it an easy commute. We had a deluxe room with possibly the best view of the surrounding fields and hills. Initially we loved the room with its little balcony but within minutes we discovered the bedside lights did not work and there was no hot water and few plug sockets. We were offered another room by the very helpful management but we declined as it did not have a good view. Management were incredibly helpful and do try to make your stay a positive one. eg. we were given buckets of hot water. It was impossible to read in bed though unless the large light was on. Not very intimate. The food was excellent and I cannot praise the staff enough for their efforts. I feel it was a bit overpriced though. We were not too impressed by the bedsheets either. They could do with new ones as the ones on our bed have seen better days. With regards to the swimming pool,on one of our days there wasn't enough water in it to swim. I would stay there again but only if there are some more improvements. Cannot fault the lovely staff though.

Check-in was quick. There was staff to help me with taking my luggage to the room. Wifi Internet was reliable though not too fast. Huge room, very clean rest room, Hot water 24 hours a day. There was a balcony kinda of space where you could sit and relax which was nice. I loved the staff who were always around, always smiling and always ready to help. I stayed for 6 days and as a solo traveler visiting the Pushkar Mela, I had a great time. You wont go wrong with this place. The hotel managers, staff and also the owner were around to do their best to help you. In fact, i extended my stay by day in the last minute and considering the rush due to the pushkar mela, they did a good job of letting me continue in the same room. While the following didn't really matter to me (solo traveller with plenty of time and not too picky), the following might matter to you especially if you go with your family or have slightly different expectations. 1. They supply a tiny soap.. no shampoo. The soap was not exactly of good quality and took some effort to be usable :-) I carry my own soap and shampoo.. you might want to do the same. 2. Probably during the mela, the hotel gets a lot of travelers in group and individual guests sometimes are less likely to be taken care of in terms of room cleaning, towel replacements etc. I had to ask multiple times for towels for example and i was told "sir, we got busy with the large group and all the towels are taken". My room was not cleaned on a daily basis. 3. Restaurant is decent considering it's a small town. If you are staying there for more than two days, I recommend trying out other eating places in the main market street. 4. The hotel is located at the far end of the town next to the hills. The only complaint i would have is about the hotel arranging transport. They promised me a cab at noon on my checkout day and took them over 3 hours to actually get one.. We spent 4 nights in this hotel... the only thing I regret is not to stay longer! There we've had our best hotel experience since we arrived in India, EVERYTHING was just great : the rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable, the view on the rooftop restaurant is just amazing and food (prepared by my new friend Denis!!) is delicious, even for those like me who don't eat spicy food, he will make it AS YOU LIKE! All the staff and Bisi at main desk is so friendly, so warm... I'm so happy that I've met them all. This is the first time I write so much about a hotel, but they largely deserve it. I highly recommand to all!

We enjoyed our stay. Our room and bathroom were clean. The bathroom had plenty of hot water for showers, just be sure to flip the switch on the wall for the water heater. The room had a ceiling fan which kept the room cool and the screens on the window meant we could keep our windows open at night. Meals are provided at the restaurant on the rooftop, breakfast was good and affordable, about 90 rupees for a banana pancake. The wifi was slow, but we found the wifi to be slow all throughout Pushkar so it seems to be the norm. The owner was kind and helpful. We recommend as it's a great value for what we paid and only 5 minute walk to the main street and the lake.

Our stay was very nice. My friend was ill for much of the time we were in Pushkar and I was so grateful that we had such a quiet, comfortable hotel with such warm and helpful staff. When it was obvious my friend wasn't improving the owner called for a doctor who came and assessed her and provided her with appropriate treatment. The location was perfect in that it is close to everything but just far enough away from the chaotic noise and crowds of Pushkar. The food at the restaurant was very good but service was slow. This is a pure veg/non alcohol restaurant with a broad Israeli/ Indian menu.

The main reason we chose this hotel was because of the swimming pool. When we arrived and saw that the pool was green and dirty we were a bit turned off. We booked the cheapest room, which was nice but when we arrived the sheets were used and we had to change them. Since the hotel is a bit far from the center (around 1.5km) and there are no restaurants around we had to end up eating there and at lunch time they only serve fast food (pizzas and sandwich), overpriced and not the best. Besides that the staff is nice, the hotel have a good atmosphere and the garden is great for relaxing.

If you want to stay with a glass wall between you and India, this might not be the place for you. If you would like to sit directly above one of the bathing ghats as morning ablutions are performed, while gongs and bells from one side of the Lake are answered by chanting from the other side, if in evening twilight, the sound of drumming pleases you, if you are tempted by perhaps the best muesli you have ever had, well, here is the Lake View Hotel. Motor vehicles are not allowed directly in front, but can get within 50 meters. You can do 50 meters, even with your bags. Family and staff helpful and attentive. Relax. Go with it. You might fancier accomodation, but not a better location, right on the Sadar Bazaar.

Amazing location. less than a one minute walk to the main market road with all food and shopping. The owner was super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the cheapest room with shared bathroom, the bathroom was downstairs and our room upstairs, and was a squatter toilet. But it was kept very clean (probably the cleanest squatter I've seen) and shower had nice hot water. There was a sitting area downstairs and I believe they served food though we never tried (too many great restaurants in pushkar to try!) The only knock is that our bed was very uncomfortable. It was standard for the price point as to what we've experience so far in India but was definitely the only low-light of the place. It was a rock hard straw mattress with a thin piece of styrofoam on top, like sleeping on a solid piece of wood. Though it didn't bother us enough to not book an extra night here when Pushkar sucked us in to stay longer! definitely recommend!!
