"The hotel is gorgeous and it was a privilege to stay there. The only problem with the hotel was that from within the hotel the best view in Quebec City - the chateau itself - is not available! I was also disappointed that the hotel has stopped offering its guided tours; I think the history of the hotel is the reason I wanted to stay there and the downloadable app tour was not enough. "

"Hotel Clarendon's best feature is its great location. Right in the centre of old Quebec, this hotel is great for tourists. When we stayed, however, there were a lot of loud children. The staff were generally nice. It's a little bit old, but the hotel is quite charming. The view was not very good, as the "courtyard" was simply a grassy spot located underneath the building. The concierge was very helpful. The cleaning staff didn't clean our room until 3pm, which made it a little frustrating at times."

"This was an ideal hotel if you have a car. We saved a lot of money, even though we parked daily at a pay garage in Center Quebec. We wanted a big hotel with a great pool. It even had a free mini-bar and the jacuzzi was great! My only warning is that the tiles around the pool are dangerously slippery when wet and you have to walk with great care not to slip and fall. We loved it!"

"Wonderful hotel. The pool was a little smaller than I expected but everything was good. Super comfy beds. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is that there were no curtains to cover up the huge window in our room. Just a white mesh lace curtain. So in the morning the sunlight came through too brightly which was hard for us to sleep in. Other than that the rooms were clean cozy and the staff were friendly. "
