"Firstly, this hotel is very clean. The room was well presented and by Japanese standards a little bigger than usual. We wanted to drop our luggage off in the early morning so we could get an early start on Mount Ishizuchi - no problems. Reception staff were very straighforward with our limited Japanese and their limited English. Mime and laughter always bridges the gap. Breakfast was an additional cost for us but reasonable at 540JPY per person. It was a well presented buffet and there is no criticism of it at all. Location is magnificent. Directly opposite the JR Saijo Station. Perfect for the Asahi brewery free shuttle, buses to Mt. Ishizuchi and Yokomineji (Temple 60) on the Shikoku pilgrim trail. The Tourist Information Centre, a small block away from the Station (turn right) is helpful for all planning. At the end of two days of hard walks, the Sento/Onsen on the 9th Floor was so welcome. WIFI is excellent. "

"Very clean, with nice sized rooms for a Japanese business hotel. Very quiet, and not even a hint of smoke in the non-smoking rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they even have a shuttle to take you back to the station when you leave. Delicious, breakfast buffet with a lot of variety for both Western and Japanese options. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk (or a 900 yen taxi ride) from Iyo-Saijo station. Definitely walkable if you like to walk and don't have heavy baggage. I didn't interact with the staff in English (I spoke Japanese) so I don't know whether or not they can help English-speaking travelers easily."
