"Alejandro features a charming setting and has a ton of curb appeal with historical artifacts throughout the property. Our previous stays there have been great. This time, staff seems to have been greatly reduced for the reduced COVID customer loading and it shows. The front desk is only staffed 12 hours a day, the restaurant opens for breakfast at 8:30am. Both livable things - basically minor inconveniences. However, they also have apparently reduced their pest treatment budget - 1st night we killed two cockroaches in our room. The next day when the front desk was staffed again, we reported the issue. We received an apology and a reassurance that they would spray the room. Returning that evening we found the room unmade and apparently untouched. That night we killed a 4-5” centipede; reported again to the front desk the following morning - again received an apology and an assurance that something would be done. On our last night - one more large cockroach killed... not by pest control, by us. If you want to enjoy the charm and ambience of Alejandro, I suggest you bring your own can of bug spray. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy what was probably our last stay at this hotel. "
