Best hotel we stayed at in India. This whole place was just amazing. Staff were friendly and very helpful. They were happy to help and were always smiling, even when we had dinner by the lake at 1010pm and they closed at 10.30pm. Hotel was by the lake, the view was breathtaking. Room was amazing to stay in, i didn't want to leave. Was a shame we only did one night...

we had a lovely relaxing stay at chunda. breakfast was great, peanut butter on toast in india!! dinner and poolside service fantastic. reception staff were extremely helpful doing everything to help with confirming and sorting train tickets. if i had to say anything bad is that the pools were both freezing (it's their winter!) and the trip into udaipur town takes about...

Though my stay was very very comfortable but at the end I have to say something here. As you know my booking was including Breakfast & Dinner for my stay from 20th to 24th August, 2016. But to my surprise on the last day of my stay i..e 23rd August, 2016 night when I went for dinner with my wife I was informed that I will have to pay for the dinner as the same is not...

.We stayed at Ananta Udaipur for 3 nights. Udaipur was my second stop in my Rajasthan trip, I was a bit apprehensive initially as this is not a popular chain as the Marriott’s, Taj etc. All my fears were gone from the moment I stepped into the resort. It’s a beautiful, well maintained resort with spectacular views of the Aravalli mountains. The resort itself is on a h...

The staff of the hotel is very reliable. I had forgotten my costly leather belt when I checked out. This was found by housekeeing staff Mr Harvendra Singh and deposited with Lost & Found dept. of the hotel. On my request, the Hotel has couriered the belt to me at my residence. Thanks Mr Harvendra Singh and Fern residency Udaipur.

The place is worth the money both for the heitage feel as well as the proximity to all major tourist attractions. We upgraded to premium suite thus making our stay even more memorable. The rooms are spacious, bright, great interior with cleanliness all around the hotel. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. The food is deliolcious as well. I would highly recomm...

The best thing about this hotel was the rooftop swimming pool. Not many places have this for the price and it has beautiful views over udaipur and provided a cooling break from the midday heat. The staff at the hotel were great and very happy to help or answer questions. Great location with many sights and restaurants just a few mins walk away. Would definitely stay he...

The hotel and everything is goods, location, food, bar, cleanliness, staff, facilities. If there is any issue the same has been soughed out asap/priority. We recommend travelers to stay at Golden Tulip, Udaipur. My experience with Jaipur was worst & bad with their reception staff whereas in Udaipur it is fantastic. Keep it up Udaipur Team.

As we stayed in Shahapura House in Jaipur is also a heritage hotel and comparison started directly with this Mahendra Prakash heritage hotel in Udaipur this wasn’t as classic as Shahapura House and also looks expensive compared with other hotels during our stay renovations were going on lot of disturbances during the night hours, major complaint is that they switch off...

I guess this is one of the best 4* hotels in Udaipur. The staff is very friendly, especially Narendra - he is the best!!! We had a large and comfy room, the pool was okay... There needs to be a lot of work done upstairs (painting etc). We only had breakfast, which was good - but no dinner! We can really recommend this cute hotel!

We had driven down to Udaipur from Gurgaon. By the time we reached hotel, we are quite tired. The hotel looks nice when you drive in with a decent driveway. We were welcomed with the garlands made of beads and it felt nice to get such a royal treatment. The check-in was prompt and we were taken to our room in about 5 minutes. We had booked the Deluxe Room with the Lak...

Resort is located at not very far place from center of Udaipur. Maintained beautifully with a very good service staff. Behavior of every employee is good. Maintenance of Resort is good even though it's not very new building. Most of the hotels in Udaipur were built long back. I would definitely visit this Resort again and will refer others too.

I got a room in 3k from Agoda including breakfast. The location is very good just 2 km from the major attraction in Udaipur. Hotel staff is fine. The terrace restaurant is very good, and you can just chill. The seating arrangement gives you a feeling of a small private lounge. I would highly recommend it for the budget of 3k.

this is an imposing new hotel in traditional style, perched on a hilltop overlooking the city and lake of udaipur and with absolutely spectacular views in all directions of wooded hills. it was a luxurious end to the rajasthan leg of our holiday in india, which otherwise consisted of stays in characterful moderately priced havelis (the royal heritage in jaipur, the na...

This hotel is new, therefor there is a lot of construction noise going on making it difficult for us to sleep. The staff was disappointing. They fail to give us information about breakfast and when we asked for wifi, they only gave us one user/password and it had a data limit. I think this is absurd considering that the hotel is supposed to be a luxury hotel. The ho...

After spending 2 days in udaipur. I read about this property. I booked fr one day before returning home but after returning I think we should hv spent all 3 days here.it was splendid.food, swimming pool ,courteous staff location. The list is endless.Great place to rejuvenate and get that mental peace which we all aspire for. great value fr money.I congratulate all the st...

First of all Thanks to Agoda for best and cheap price. Pros :- 1. I will give a proper 4 star rating for this hotel 2. Spacious, clean and proper vantilation room(recommend to book room no. 18) 3. Talking about location, near to Fateh Sagar lake which is quite better experience as comparison Lake pichola. Auto, cabs are easily available at your doorstep no need to w...
Cheap places to stay in Udaipur

The hostel is new and clean. All facilities are great and in working order. The water is warm, the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and very good value for what you pay. The guy who manages the hostel was the best hostel manager I have encountered in India. He truly understands the meaning of customer service. Made sure that any problem I had was resolve...

My wife and I have traveled quite a bit the last months and can say now that Zostel Udaipur was, hands down, one of the best hostels we've ever stayed -- and one of the reasons why we decided to extend our stay in Udaipur. Dorms are clean and beautifully decorated, staff is extremely helpful, cheerful and kind, there's a great social atmosphere (in February and Mar...

I loved my stay in this hostel! I met the coolest staff, the friendliest travellers, and it also has one of the best rooftop view in the city! Would totally rate the hostel 10/10 and would definitely go back! Mad love to Ocean who was absolutely golden! THANK YOU for Moustache Udaipur for being amazing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This might be the best hostel I've ever stayed at in my life, and I've been traveling for 2.5 years now. Its beautiful, it's new, the terrace chillout room is awesome, free breakfast, good AC in the room, as always with GoStops hostels they had comfy beds, the staff here was great, the place was clean, they had RO filtered water to refill your water bottles, lots of ar...

Got an early check in as spare rooms were available. Very homely, family rum b & b. Food was homely, esp aloo paratha. The owner clarified at the time of booking that this was a bread and breakfast and not a typical hotel ( not that we were unaware, but definitely good to hear beforehand from them ,for the less alert ones). Good location, in a quiet lane, not far from J...

很棒的地方,很大的阳台可以晒衣服,住着感觉很好,设施虽然简单,我住了一个星期在这里very good place to stay, location is totally right,in the same building of the National bank,u need come inside the building on your right hand side where is park a lot of bike ,the staff there very nice ,also we can cooking there ,very big roof can hang our clothes,i stay there for one week, for totally good .. thanks for eve...

Manager went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. He's extremely dedicated and engaged in the hostel, which makes a huge difference. Breakfast was two pieces of toast and one boiled egg which in my opinion could be improved. Great facilities and rooms... They all come with AC 24/7!!

Superb location just 30secs walk to Ambrai Ghat with unobstructed views to the City Palace and Lake Palace. Rooftop views are even better with a super chill out area. Dorm came with ensuite which was cleaned daily. Wifi is pretty much non existent making it hard to make onward bookings. Staff were friendly to help with booking my bus to Agra. Highly recommended stay - ...

The hotel is a stone's throw away from Bagore ki Haveli, Gangaur Ghat, a number of cafes, and a host of shops. It's also a five minute walk away from the City Palace. Hence, the location really is convenient for travelers. Cheap, clean, and tourist friendly, the hotel is a hassle free stop.

This hotel would have to be one of the best we have stayed in during our 3 months of traveling through India. It is a family run business by 4 brothers( They told us they're all boss of this hotel! lol.) and their customer service was Outstanding ( especially Mr. Raj was so professional, courteous and helpful). This hotel is also very centrally located, so you ca...

Very cute little place running by Indian family. The rooms are big enough with windows and huge fan! Toilets are also big with good water pressure. The owner is very kind and we stayed 2 nights. He also let us take a shower before taking our night train! For sure I’d recommend it and location is fantastic.

This place was the most beautiful hostel I've stayed at. It was a 2 min walk to City Palace and very close to other major landmarks of Udaipur. The staff was friendly, chill, and professional. The atmosphere was fun and I enjoyed my time here, would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay here. It is in the middle of everything but is peaceful at the same time. The rooftop has one of the best views in Udaipur. We loved the small decorations, paintings, and attention to detail that made for a very comfortable stay.

We stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Meenakshi. The location was good as nearby attractions including the City Palace were close by. In front of the hotel, breakfast options were also available, we loved poha served there. There was a local market nearby where we did some shopping. It is hard to get good non-vegetarian food in Udaipur, luckily we found a place nearby. There...

The family who run the guest house is lovely and always available for anything. We have been a bit unlucky with the weather 'cause it rained for three days in a row and we had to find a restaurant near by; our experience would have been perfect if the guest house provided food too ( home made food). Our check out was really early in the morning cause of the bus and the...

I have images of breakfast with red ants on it while i told the pathetic atendent there he said we will not change it now u have to pay for it, no kichen available then why did u mention kichen as the facility, i was travelling with a 6 month old baby i told them precisely that i would need immediate help on which the atendent told me "kya jarurat padega hum nhi aa pae...

Pros: Amazing staff. On arrival went through what there is to do in Udaipur and provided a map. Always willing to help. Comfy beds High pressure, hot showers Towels provided Rooms were very clean Amazing central location, everything is walking distance (except the station) Nice breakfast Cons: Slow wifi No water refills OVERALL: Highly recommend, especially for couples...

I did have reservations before arriving as hotel was cheaper than what I normally go for in Udaipur but I wanted to be in the heart of the old town of Amritsar and if your looking for a hotel that does that this is it. It is next to all the top attractions in Udaipur: City Palace, Pichola Lake and Bagore Ki Havelli. Also its tucked away so its really quiet, which is a ...

It was really, really great and memorable. This was our (my and my wife's) first visit to Rajasthan, and Padmini Palace was the first place we stayed in.Though we arrived at the hotel at around 3-30 am in the morning. But we had no difficulty in checking in. Everything went well. I am a senior citizen, and I really appreciated the help and care we received from the sta...

This hotel is just excellent. Each and every department is awesome and way too efficient in their job. You call up for any service - be it housekeeping , room service, reception, or any other department - just tell them and count till 10. You request will be fulfilled. Sometime we actually counted to see if it's a Ginnie or the hotel staff : ). But jokes apart, the hos...

We went there for a quite holiday in new year but it was opposite. They charged a mandatory Rs 5000 per room for personal (politician owner) birthday party in the name of new year party. All night DJ and ugly drinking . Nobody could sleep that night. Total uncivilized attitude. Please check if there is any birthday or anniversary or wedding in owners family before book...

My husband entered d room n exclaimed WOW.It was a big room ,high ceiling,an XL king size poster bed w a view of d lake n a few lil hills scattered within d lake to add to d beauty.D hotel is beautifully landscaped along d hill side w terraces created at every level from where u can enjoy d beauty of ur surroundings.Lovely warm Jacuzzi besides a swimming pool. Well located to continue our trip to Madhyapradesh from Udaipur. We are four adults stayed for 2 nights here and the charges are very reasonable for room which is including breakfast package. But you have very few options in breakfast and the taste is just ok. Within two or three kilometres you have a very good commercial mall (celebration mall) which has a plenty of f...

I was here when it was just opening. The hotel was very nice with very nice rooms but it is a bit far from the center of Udaipur. You cannot walk to all the places to be seen. I was unable to have the buffet and the pool was not completed when I was there.

Every thing was in good order.we couldn't fault anything ,apart from one recommendation that there should be a sign on bar entrance door stating UNDER 18 STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED .If we ever return to udaipur in future our most favourable place of stay would be blue Feather. The stay was good as a5*.

Agoda mentions hotel policy as <12 years stays free, at the hotel we were made to pay 500 per child extra total 1500 extra payment. Stay and food was good. Staff were helpful No tissue roll in toilets, not provided even when I ask for Rooms are too cold (almost like ice) , extra blanket was refused stating it's a budget hotel.

I am a big fan of this Indian chain which is the cheaper sibling of the very prestigious Oberoi Group and often share campuses. There is an attention to detail in the decoration, the grounds, and the service in general. The Udaipur hotel while not as good as the one I stayed in Gurgaon, is still an oasis in a noisy very busy small city providing for great relaxation. O...

My fiancé and I stayed 2 nights at Taj Lake Palace. We flew in from New Delhi arrived Udaipur pretty early and checked in at noon. The arrival experience at the Jetty was very welcoming. The private jetty for Lake Palace guests is remarkable. It has a nice rest area, and the boats tag always available for transfer to the lake palace. Everyone is so courteous and trying...

Let me start the review by saying that the staff tried doing the best they could, but the resort fell way short of expectations. On the first night, there was no hot water in the taps, the flush wasn't working, and the room had a smell. While they were fixed, they really should have been checked before hand. They provided an immersion rod for the hot water with the p...

Nice place for tourist and some site seeing ! enjoy your holidays for 2 night 3 days & carry on to chittorgarh ! keep it relaxed !
Be prepared for steep hills and steps- great shopping in the bazaars- the city palace is tout free so a very relaxing time can be spent drinking coffee and viewing the lake.
Small city easy to visit walking around, nice and relaxing view of the lake. Many shop of handcraft good are available with good quality products.
Udaipur is a Royal city, where romance is in the air. The lakes of the city provide a serene environment for relaxation.
Beautiful city with great history and culture and good entertainment and food Peaceful yet not boring; Friendly people;
This city is full of lakes and old forts City Palace is the place you must go Some lake view restaurant you also can't miss
A wonderful city with it all from palaces, to lakes, to Shilpgram ethnic park; to gardens with a zoo.
It is one city that you should include in your trip to this part of India. The lake and the beautiful hotels in and around it would make your trip worthwhile.
It is one of the best cities of Rajasthan. It is situated on bank of lakes Pichola, Fatehsagar etc. you can go for visit from late july till november.
Based around the lake, and fairly small, Udaipur is much more relaxed and peaceful than many places in Rajasthan.
It is a city of lakes palaces and gardens. Lovely surroundings with good friendly people. Good food also.
My experience is that Udaipur has lost its charm. The autorikshaw's run without meter and want an exhorbitant amount.
Udaipur is a great place to spend a few days relaxing with a bit of sightseeing and shopping thrown in.
Udaipur is truely said to be "city of lake" and it has very panaromic view . although being in Rajasthan it has very green belt.
It was the most beautifull city we've visited in India. Very clean, romantic. I would really recommend it to everybody visiting this area.
Udaipur is a relief after places like Agra and Delhi. It's laidback, beautiful to look at and enchanting to wander around aimlessly.
Fantastic holiday destination as the place is naturally beautiful with lot of historical importance to Indian history.
It is one of my favorite cities in India. Udaipur is an easy town to get around, even if you do get lost in the narrow inner lanes of the old city.
Very cute city. Surprisingly polluted though, because so much motorbikes at the main tourist street.
Udaipur is a great place, with beautiful lakes and wonderful people. I was specially attracted by Chittorgarh, and Haldighati, about which I have read so much from my early childhood, and always wanted to visit.
Take a trip to Kumbhalgarh Fort and to the temples at Ranakpur, these are around 100km from Udaipur and the day trips are well worth it.
Very nice sightseeing over the lake. Many nice temples to visit as well as the famous lake palace. Tour guide only recommended for lake palace, but not other areas.
IT IS A NICE OLD CITY WITH LAKE,GARDENS , TEMPLES & PALACES. A WALK TO HANDICRAFTS MARKET AROUND JAGDISH TEMPLE IS WORTHWHILE.
Main sightseeing items are City Palace & museum, Lake Pichola with boating, Fateh Sagar Lake, Vintage car collection at Garden Hotel, world famous puppet show at Bharathiya Lok Kala Mandal.
I first visited Udaipur 14 years ago and greatly enjoyed it. Knowing how things change, I was afraid I would be disappointed this time, but I was not.
Beautiful city, many historical places. You can travel to Ranakpur, Chittorgarh by local bus from here
City of temples, city of mesmerizing beauty- picturesque lakes, awesum food and culture. One of the highlights of Udaipur are it is shoppers delight.

The best time to visit Udaipur is during the winter months from October to March. The weather during this period is pleasantly cool, making it ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. The temperature ranges from 10°C to 25°C (50°F to 77°F), allowing you to explore the city's attractions without the sweltering heat. This season also coincides with several local festivals, adding a festive atmosphere to your visit.
One of the highlights of visiting Udaipur in winter is the Udaipur Art and Culture Festival, which showcases the region's rich heritage through music, dance, and art exhibitions. The Diwali festival in October or November is another spectacular time to experience Udaipur, as the city lights up with beautiful decorations and fireworks. The Holi festival, celebrated in March, offers a colorful and joyous experience, where locals and tourists alike come together to celebrate with vibrant powders and water.
While summer months (April to June) can be quite hot, reaching up to 40°C (104°F), some travelers may prefer this time for fewer crowds and lower hotel rates.
