Coron hotels & places to stay

This really is one of the best hotels in Coron! It was such a short period of stay but they really looked after us. The hotel is so modern and clean as well. During our stay, weather was quite bad and it rained a few times. They were constantly cleaning the floor in the lobby and making sure that hotel users were not wet by rain too. 2 things I would like to point out though, we stayed in a Bay Delux room, which was supposed to be one of the bests but the view was not that great from our room. It was not really facing the ocean, and I could see that other standard rooms had better views. I totally understand that there weren't many rooms available at that time, and we did not give a enough notice when we made the booking, but I would have thought Delux room would get a better view? Also, the bathroom floor was a little slimy... However these did not bother us much, they really give you full customer service experience with such affordable price, DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

Our Stay at Asia grand view was great, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, 1st was the food, the food is nothing to boast about but good for the price not too expensive, fresh fruit shakes is only 60php a 1.20$ only. 2nd was the rooms, the rooms are very spacious, good for 3 -4 persons bed is soft pillows are soft as well, clean sheets as well. one thing i did notice was No TV in the room, it would be nice to have a tv but didnt bother us that much since we were mostly going out. the bathroom was very clean, i personally am impress by how clean it is. 5 stars for that. 3rd Amenities, i dont think some of the guest know that they have a tv in the game room just no cable, a dart, lots of board games and a pool table. they also have 2 swimming pool which we enjoyed swimming in. till 11pm nice ! 4th had a massage in the hotel for only 450php which was good and cheap. 10$ staffs were very accommodating, just ask they are friendly enough to help which ever they can. towels are no problems in this hotel, no extra charge for towels for beach, for pool for bath thats a plus from other hotels or resorts. 5th had a great stay at this modern and very new hotel, i check all hotels in coron and this is the top pick if i get a chance to go back i would still stay here. there are no beaches in coron you have to go to other islands to go to beaches or 2 hotels el rio mar and club paradise which is very very expensive.

(+) - amazing breakfast (best was longanisa with garlic rice and sweet mango) - very clean rooms - great rooftop views - central location - incredibly helpful staff. Shoutout to the lady at the front desk who was so helpful: booking our tours and cleaning our dirty laundry (-) - wifi is terrible. Little to no connection always except on the rooftop. If only Bluewave can get better wifi i would rate this 5/5 stars - hotel restaurant is pricey so just go in to town as there are many options nearby - bluwave is a bit pricey for what it is but maybe thats just coron hotel rates - also i didnt need to use it but my bathroom hairdryer was busted I still had a very positive experience and would recommend Bluwave to friends and family. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable even through the rain!

We had a very comfortable stay at Sunlight Guest Hotel, Coron, good buffet breakfast with different choices everyday. The pool is nice overlooking the sea. Staffs were courteous and very polite. Pros: - We were upgraded to a different room with a beautiful view. - Exceptionally helpful and accommodating staff. - Breakfast is good, different choices daily but should add wholewheat bread instead of the white bread. - Internet is quite faster than other hotels in Coron but is disconnected every 30 minutes. - Free airport transfers. Cons: - The beds are as hard as concrete but the staff added form mattress on top so we were ok. - 2 of the pillows are already saggy and should be replaced. - The staff did not clean under the bed during our 9 days stay (the rest was cleaned daily) - It was a bit annoying to have to login to the internet every 30 minutes. - Beach towels will cost 150 each time you borrow one. Overall, It was an awesome stay at this hotel!

Recommending this hotel for the good facilities at very reasonable price versus other more expensive hotels in Coron. It is quite a 10-15min trike ride from the main street in Coron but not a big issue as tours always have free hotel pick-up. Service in restaurant is not fast though but food is okay. No internet in the room but that's probably the case in all Coron hotels.

THE GOOD: On sunny days the water is crystal clear, good snorkeling in front of the jetty area. It was fun use their stand-up paddle boards and kayaks. The service we received at the resort was impeccable. The room was clean, the bathroom is a bit dated but it didn't bother us much. They are remodeling the restaurant and it will be done at the end of October, but the temporary restaurant was fine. We had full-board meals and most of the meals we had were exellent (buffet breakfast, 4-course lunch and 5-course dinner, so much food!). We had an early flight so we left at 5:30 am and they packed us a huge breakfast and had some of the staff, including a guitar player, see us off. Unbelievable. THE BAD: We stayed in a Native Cabana, which is a duplex cabin. The units are separated by one door, so sometimes if your neighbors speak loudly you can hear the tone of their voices, which is not ideal. Also the resort is very far from Coron town where you board for excursions (20 minute boat ride then a 50 minute van ride) so excursions are very expensive if no one else signs up for them. Fortunately we were able to go on an excellent Coron Island Tour with a total of 10 people for about $75pp, a bit expensive but it was worth it. However, if it had just been the two of us, the cost would have been close to $180pp, which is absolutely ridiculous. Management should consider having a shuttle arrangement at a reasonable rate to go into Coron when sign-ups are low so people can go with local tour companies, because no one is going to pay the exhorbitant prices the resort charges for 2 persons anyway. Overall, we had a great time and would not hesitate to stay here again.

As Coron doesn't have a proper beach and if you stay here more than a few days to do the main discovery tours of the island, an hotel with a pool is compulsory. That's why we chose Sunz en. And also because it is a bit out of town, in a quite area at the bottom of the big hill with a huge cross and "Coron" in big white letters at the top of it. The bedrooms are set around the pool and as it's closed at ten in the evening, you don't have any noise from people swimming and drinking at the bar. Actually the place is very peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are bright and spacious with enough tiding space. With such a hot climate, you only need light shirts and shorts anyway. Coron is a layback, and dusty town too, so no need to bring your best dinner outfits and accessories... The rooms are also very clean. Quite often when you move the bed in an hotel, you discover dust and fluffs. Not at Sunz en! The cleaning team is efficient and change your towels every day. If you need more, simply ask. They will also give you some for the pool. The bathroom is big enough but with no shelf to store your creams and shampoo. If you have that kind of hanging toileteries bag, it will be a must. I have to say, this is a very well run hotel. The staff is amazingly friendly, responsive, attentive. Always a smile. Always some welcoming words. And they laugh. A lot. The team seems united. The security man make his inspection tours humming and singing. We noticed that, while cleaning the rooms, the staff likes to put the telly on and have their favourite tv series/shows as a background. An opportunity for the others to come along for a quick chat and a few jokes...invariably followed by more laughter. With the minivan picking you up at the airport and vice versa, and the free tricycle drop off in town, and a lunchpack to take with you on departure day, this hotel is a prime choice in Coron.

My husband is a former diplomat, and we have traveled all over Asia and Africa. Our guests were a retired Japanese businessman and his wife who had traveled to Europe and Americas. They wanted to see the best of the Philippines, so we decided to bring them to Coron. I knew that Coron suffered from frequent brownouts, and its hotels had primitive facilities. We were surprised that the Gateway had rooms that had world class standards, and no brownouts. Best of all the Gateway was next to the market, and we could buy crabs, lobsters, prawns, fresh fish, crayfish, which our boatman cooked for our lunch as we toured the islands. We tried the other restaurants, but the Kayangan Restaurant of the Gateway Hotel had a stable menu and reasonable prices. They had hired a new Restaurant Manager who made sure the food was interesting. They offered "promos" that broke the monotony of the regular menu. Of course, they also had crayfish, crabs, lobsters, fish, that they would cook any way you wanted. The only thing I was really unhappy about was that the Agoda had charged us almost 60% more than the rates that was being charged by the Gateway. Our bill for the hotel was P for six rooms or P per day. Had I just booked straight to the hotel, we would have paid only P3,600. That was P12,538 more or 58% more, a really sizeable difference. I am a hotel owner myself, and I was going to enlist my hotels with Agoda. I know that the Agoda should only charge the published rates. In this case, my Hotel Guests would be very upset if they found out that what was charged to them was 60% higher than what I would have paid for, specially since I was a local Filipino, myself. The Gateway arranged for airport transfers and sightseeing tours. They gave us the prices we should pay for these tours, which enabled me to set aside the money for the entrance and boat. I was happy with the Gateway, and except for the Agoda overcharging, it would have been perfect.

We were Corto del Mar's #1 fans after staying here back in January which is why we returned back for a second visit this month. We stand behind our feelings that it is the best hotel in Coron, however, there were some issues that need to be worked out in order for it to be a true top of the line hotel. We were without internet for a few days which we all know isn't acceptable in this day and age. 2-3 days with no wifi is not ok, even if you should be disconnected from the world while you're enjoying the beauty of Coron. And they seemed to be out of a lot of things in the kitchen. Numerous drinks we ordered were not available because they did not have the ingredients (and I'm not talking about out of season fruit, they didn't have peanut butter). We understood we were here during the off season but there should be a separate menu if supplies are short on hand. And the bartender didn't really seem to know how to make the drinks well which is unfortunate given the drinks aren't cheap. The food was great! The pizzas are delicious! And the staff is really kind and attentive. So all in all we will stay here again when we come back and we hope that these issues get worked out before that day comes.

I could barely contain the eagerness upon return to Coron. This time for our 22nd Anniversary at the newest Two Seasons Resort, located 30mins by land plus 40mins speedboat transfer from Busuanga Airport. No comfort was spared to ensure that guests are at home in this island resort, we did really feel at home!!! Sandbar Bungalow has everything in it- L' Occitane bathroom amenities, cute personalized slippers, Bose tv and sound system w dock (for new I gadget u have to bring adapter, dock is for 4th gen only) - we had a blast with this, we got to see our pics of the day right in the big screen every night, and...you also have a complimentary mini bar (replenished everyday). The view is priceless in this little piece of bungalow, the most private, away from all the eyes of everyone but going anywhere in the island is not a problem, cabby is just a phone call away. You'll have the east and west side beach views & also the sandbar during low tide. There's this small shaded beach cove infront leading to the sandbar. you also have your own small private jacuzzi with a very nice view. all the staff are friendly and accommodating specially the restaurant people. special thanks to all the chefs for the sumptuous anniversary dinner they prepared. we had a lobster w butter and garlic cooked and prepared to perfection by the head chef. We also had a very delicious COMPLIMENTARY Mud Lava Cake, unforgettable!!! lamayo - coron delicacy, waldorf potato salad and four cheese pizza are a must try. As this is our 2nd time in Coron, we didn't do much activities, we only tried their Hydro Bob (underwater scooter), exciting! We also went to their gym everyday, very nice, we had it to ourselves for 4 days - with Life Fitness Equipment, don't forget to bring rubber shoes. Thanks Two Seasons, we really had a wonderful time!!!

We came to Coron for our honeymoon. Initially i was worried that we'll be bored staying too many days on this island, so we stayed for 3 nights only and the other nights at Coron town.I regret for not staying here for our entire trip. You can see baby shark,sea turtles & schools of fish while u snorkel. If u decide to go for a dive,i suggest House Reef is sufficient, u need to pay extra fee for the boat fee. Every staff greets u with a smile even if they're off duty. Special thanks to staff Raffy for taking good care of us when we took our nap on the beach every noon. U can just stare at the sea & do nothing where u will still hope that u have 365 more days to stay at Club Paradise. HK Executive Sharon also showed us around their vegetable garden. When we call the housekeeping to request for water or bathroom maintenance, they will reach in no more than 5 minutes. I hope there will be more vegetables on their menu. For those who are hesitating to stay in Coron town, i would strongly suggest that u won't regret staying on this island for ur whole trip.I rate this resort 9.8 !!

At first, we booked from a different hotel and our last night in Coron we tried GMG hotel. The hotel was conviently located near the restaurants and shops. Upon checking-in we requested to be placed at the top floor and they said that it was subject for availablity but after a few minutes, they complied to our request. We liked where our room was situated--nice view of the sea. The room was simple yet nice & clean and the towels are relatively new too! we liked that their bed because it was a bit bigger compared to our previous hotel we stayed in. Good airconditioning since its summertime here. This hotel is not a 5 star hotel, but you have everything you need. The lack of electricity is a common problem in Coron and I was impressed that GMG hotel has their own back up generator so that we, the guests can still enjoy our airconditioned room. The staff even accompanied me to the market to get some dried fish for pasalubong before we leave. They also sell water and some snacks so its a plus for us. Their breakfast was delish, plus you can have as much bread with pineapple jam and coffee! Will be definitely staying here again, next time with our whole family. We didn’t know what to expect after booking this last minute with little research. The whole experience was great. It’s on its own island off coron, they offer free fast boat transfers to and from coron, all food is included in the costs as it’s the only restaurant on the little island (buffet). The staff were lovely and the little huts right on the beach were absolutely beautiful. Day tours are available from the hotel to see all of the coron island sites as well as snorkelling right out the front of the hotel. I did a discovery dive with the hotel and ended up enjoying it so much that we did a shipwreck dive later that day. The dive staff are extremely experienced and made me feel completely comfortable even though I didn’t know if I would enjoy diving. Would love to go back with the whole family.

The location is located within the town, walking distance from most restaurants and food stalls. What I like it the most is the value for money, I think it is more than what your money paid. I spent around 1,300 pesos for 3D2N, which includes breakfast. During my stay, I didn't see any Filipino guest, most guest were foreigners specially solo traveler and couples. The only downside of it, I guess, is the bathroom/toilet. Though it is clean and has an exhaust fan, the toilet only has only tissue paper, there is neither bidet nor faucet. Their shower room has also a heater. In terms of breakfast, you have to choose whether continental or 'Pinoy' breakfast (Tocino or corned beef), both with fruits (in my case, banana and orange) and egg. Coffee and tea are also included. Some guesthouse do not offer breakfast especially with only approx 400pesos per night. There check-in time is strictly 2pm, but fear not, the staff will let you leave your bag in their counter. In my case, they let me check-in an hour earlier. The staffs are so friendly and consistent. Another PLUS is that they will let you use the SUNZ EN CORON hotel swimming pool (for limited time, of course, 10am - 4pm only) since both guesthouse and sunz en coron hotel are under the same management. This is recommended for solo traveler, and for group of 3-4pax. Like I said, it has a superb review for value for money, besides you went to coron to enjoy the tour and island and not to stay indoor :) They have fast wifi too, unfortunately, you can only access it outside your room.

Thank you The Ridge for making our Coron vacation a superb one. We will dfntly remember our vacation. The staff is so warm and friendly. the rooms are very clean...the bed (esp the blanket) is soft and of good quality. The location is very nice because it is in town proper but still very quiet and sea view room is the best. For me, this is best value for our money. This is not my first time in Coron but the Ridge is surely on top of my list if you want to stay on budget and yet feel comfortable on the place youre staying at. Most lodge with the same price have crappy bed and warm rooms. The Ridge has aircon and electricfan. The toilet is also new and very clean...

We had a great stay at Coron Eco Lodge. The booking, communication, airport transfers… everything was easily arranged and ran smoothly. The hotel is perfectly located. Walking distance from the market, boats and other restaurants/ grocery stores. The staff went over and above to ensure all our island hopping, diving etc was organised the day before each excursion. We were staying here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and the staff decorated our room with rose petals and organised for us to have massages in our room that evening. The restaurant attached to the hotel has been rated "number 2 in Coron" and with good reason. The food was so good, we stayed in for dinner on all 5 nights of our stay. You won't go wrong with Coron Eco Lodge! … Highly recommend :)

our stay at the coron hilltop view resort was definitely a good value for our money. the hotel was beautiful and clean, located in a very relaxing part of coron. the staff were friendly and well-trained. the food was delicious and cheap. the pool was a tad too small for lap swimmers, but still good for a relaxing soak after a day of island-hopping. the water heaters take a while to heat water, but it was okay. there were lots of wasps outside our room, but it comes with being located at the bottom of a hill.

I don't think that we could have done any better than staying at La Natura during our week in Coron. La Natura is out of Coron town: a very bumpy road takes you to the interior, past little farm dwellings and cashew nut groves. It's a little oasis away from the chaos and gasoline fumes: green grass, tropical flowers and a thousand birds hold a promise of rest and pampering, and La Natura delivers. Clean, tasteful rooms, large bathrooms with plenty of hot water, comfortable beds (but the pillows could be softer): Italian/Filipino Gillian and her staff really shined in making your stay comfortable. Wendy and Pat anticipated our needs, and the two young women in the kitchen consistently turned out impeccable dishes, whether at breakfast -with some of the best pancakes we've ever had- or lunch (great sandwiches -like homemade chicken pesto-and salads) or dinner, with either Filipino dishes or great Italian seafood pasta (perfectly al dente!) and risotto, everything we tried was fresh and delicious. A special mention goes to their homemade wheat bread: in a Country where all store-bought bread seems to have sugar in it, La Natura wheat bread was a most welcome and delicious respite. Food portion were very large but everything was so good we never seemed to leave any morsels behind, so our waistline were not grateful! The Internet connection was weak, with somewhat better luck in the evenings, enough to check on your emails, but don't expect too much while in the Coron area. One suggestion I would make is to have "greener"(water-saving) options in cleaning the rooms. Many hotels all over the world have signs in the rooms asking their guests to put towels in a specific place if they want them changed, and a card over the bed if they want the sheets washed. We didn't need the sheets and towels changed every day, but we did want the bed made and the room serviced...a sign in the bathroom asking people to conserve water would also be useful. La Natura would save resources

Choosing this hotel was definitely the best decision we've made in our Coron trip! It included a breakfast (Danggit was the best!) and walking distance to many good restaurants, tourist spot such as Mt. Tapyas etc, port area, and town proper. We saved enough money on transportation because of it's easy access. The staff were very accommodating too, and rooms are secured well. Will definitely book here again when I go back to Coron!

We spend here five nights while on our honey-moon trip for island hopping in Coron. At the beginning we did reservation just for one night since we planned to stayed very comfortably for our last days in Philippines and this place was our more budget option. After visiting the room and looking around we decided to stay here till end of our trip and it was great decision. First of all - there is super friendly hotel staff. The place is also a diving center located directly ON the bay (long pier with dive-center at the end) few meters from hotel with cool sunbathing/starwatching spot at the rooftop. Diving center instructors and equippment is a first class - we took a one day trip with 3 dives incl. to nearby wrecks and Barracuda lake with thermoclines - the price was the lowest in the area and the trip was really great with lunch, and beer at the end ;) Breakfast is included in room price and is choose from the menu in the Restaurant located on the third floor of the hotel building with amazing view to the bay. Hotel offers also free water refill which is very convenient. Our room was the more expensive one on 2nd floor, was simple with big bed and fresh, clean bedsheets, toilet paper, shampoo, aircon and fan and full cable TV (including Star Movies channel ;)) We also had a balcony but we didn't use it. Big enough bathroom with warm and cold shower. We lack the closet - there was none in the room but it was still ok. WiFi available in the restaurant and common space at th entrance (sometimes it reaches rooms at the 2nd floor :)). I really recommend this place - very good price and one of the best places in Philippines we stayed in. Especially friendliness and smile everywhere there is something that makes your day everyday :) NExt time in Coron we will directly go to Amphibi-Ko again!

we could not have asked for a better place to stay at coron. hotel arranged our pick up from the busuanga airport, we did a fast check in and we occupied our room. I do have to say, the room is pretty small, but that could be because there were 2 beds and a baby crib ( 4 adults and a baby staying), so I wish they would have a bigger room and I could have pay more, but it looks like all the rooms are the same size. Still, good deal for the price, the area is secluded from main town which is good because coron town is noise, polluted, messy, etc. it was nice after a day of island hopping at the sea to go take a dive in the swimming pool, the design of which was amazing, with glowing colors and seat lounges around the pool. at night, if we did not feel like going to town for dinner, we could have dinner in a private canopy, overlooking the gardens and the pool, and the price was very affordable and the food was delicious!! however, there is a few things to improve: there was no wifi during our stay, supposedly because of clouds affecting the signal, however, just going to town is a 5 min trike trip, and there at least I could get a 3G signal, which I could not do at sophias. as well, the rooms were pretty small, wish the new rooms they are building would be a tad bigger. besides that, our stay was great!! and if I go back there, this would me in my top choice list, I may try Asian grand view hotel which is close by, but this is a really great hotel!! recommended

overall this was a really nice hotel and i thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. its 15 minutes drive from town, which is good in that the location is very quiet and there's more space than hotels in coron- which can feel very busy and claustrophobic. the hotel offers a shuttle service into town which was generally very efficient (although sometimes we had to wait a while if the shuttle had already gone out) and always was there on time to pick you up. it is a bit annoying to have to tell the driver when you are going to be back, as you don't know when you will finish excursions in town. shuttle runs until 8 at night, so you can go into town for dinner, but not have a late night. i think getting a tricycle back from town would be pretty expensive/uncomfortable given the condition of the road. rooms were really nice, feel quite classy. bathrooms are really big, although unlike what is listed on agoda they do not have a bath. hot water fairly reliable (although less so in afternoon). we had a tv in our room but it didn't seem to work, not that that matters much. mini bar has free bottled water in it. one thing i found very weird was that there were lots of windows in the casita placed at about head height that mean other people can see into your casita. given they are lined up next to each other, this can mean they don't feel very private. best thing about the casitas is the veranda outside with comfy chairs- we loved sitting out there are a long day. staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. restaurant and breakfast were also good, and not too expensive (comparable to tourist orientated places in town). ants were a bit of a problem on the breakfast buffet which was a bit gross. overall i'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to combine diving/island hopping in coron with more traditional (pool/lounging/book reading) type of holiday.

Our stay was very nice, the owner was very friendly and everything was cheap in the hotel, for example, massage was only 7 euro per hour. It was the best massage I had in town. Staff was very friendly, they made sure everything we wanted we got. The view was good from the roof. Hotel is not far from main street but far enough to avoid the noise. Has aircon and hot water, which was great in Coron. I will book this hotel again if I visit Coron again. For now they r still building more, such as full kitchen, and swimming pool. I am sure in the future the hotel will become 3 or 4 stars.

The rooms are spacious and clean and the bathroom has a nice touch of including a mini-garden inside it! The four poster bed was comfortable. Breakfast (not included in the overnight price) was excellent. Although it's a 15 minute walk into town, there are plenty of trikes passing by if you really need transport. The hotel also has a large garden in which to relax. Definitely one of my favourite Coron hotels.

I stayed for 5 nights and I don't have any complaints. Location is very good, close to the harbor, public market and the center of town. The place is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is okay. They have cable TV and wifi works in the room, although it's slow which is common in Coron. There's a refrigerator in our room which is good. The bed is a bit hard but it's okay I still slept comfortably. Compared to other hotels in Coron I think this one is value for money.

We had wonderful time on this remote island, about 1h boat ride from Coron. The hotel is really small which creates intimate atmosphere and the true paradise feeling. The beach space is very well organised, so that each guest can find their own space to relax or join other guests in the open restaurant. We enjoyed especially hammocks and huge sofa from which, in the evening you can watch the sky full of stars. You can also go kayaking or paddling around the island. The staff is exquisite, from the moment they welcome you on the arrival, through guides during the island hoping, ending on the "ground personnel" in the hotel. They try hard to make your stay heavenly and trouble-free. We also really enjoyed the food in the restaurant (one of us is vegetarian, but it was not problem at all, because we informed about that before the arrival). Food was freshly made, well seasoned and tasty, however a bit pricey considering it wasn't anything "premium" (just shrimps, fish and meat).
