Mexico hotels & accommodations

Located far enough away from the "party area" of the Hotel Zone to be peaceful, but close enough to be convenient. We stayed for 3 nights in March 2018, at $134 USD/night and I think that was a fair price for the amenities. Concierge was helpful and everyone was friendly. Located right in front of the beach, with a decent view from probably every room. Some resorts tou...

The resort itself is beautiful. Rooms are nice, pools are nice, staff is very nice as well. The food is terrible. My boyfriend and I don't drink so we were looking forward to the restaurants, pool side service, and room service. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was the best food that we had during our stay. The restaurants however, are a joke. The grill is dine...

we arrived early in morning. they meet is with respect. every person tried to make our stay wonderful. thanks to all them. i liked place and it was very clean. next time when i go to mexico cancun will stay in this hotel. do not miss chance staying im this hotel. hotel was pretty god. thank yoi guys gor wonderful holiday

This place was beyond my expectations! The staff was friendly and nice. We did get a room upgrade at a discounted, and the view from our balcony was spectacular. They really treated us like a VIP all throughout our stay! Also our breakfast by the balcony was the best experience!

Overall, I had a blast time stayed at this hotel. I wish the room was more clean and updated. The bathroom shower was bad. We can’t even turn on full water or else water will splashes all over the floor. When I booked the hotel I wanted a King bed for me and my husband. But we end up with double beds and no views. Beside the room , I love the food and the staffs was ve...

This hotel is located on the marina where there are lots of bars, entertainment, and delicious food. No beach but great pools. The property is showing some signs of age but the service was good, Bed was comfortable and the best hotel pillow in a long time.

Secrets is run by fantastic staff members, they are all so helpful, The restaurants are excellent the pools and bars are well kept and the drinks just keep on coming. I fully recommend Secrets, I will continue Booking my vacations at all the different Secrets Resorts locations.

We had a wonderful week in July at this hotel. The staff are courteous and friendly. The facilities are new and beautifully designed. The food is good and it is easy to get around the local area. The hotel is very careful to ensure all their visitors' safety and wellbeing.

I don't normally do Mexico but I was there with a group for a birthday celebration. They went through a travel agent but I booked with Agoda. There was no difference in service what so ever. I was pleased from the moment I stepped foot on the property, after getting out of the airport shuttle. Everyone there pays attention to details and they are very attentive. You ar...

This is one of the best resorts in the hotel zone. The room was extremely clean, and the staff was always polite and welcoming. The one thing that sets this resort apart from others is how great the good is. There were at least 7 restaurants to choose from, on top of the cafeteria and sushi bar located in the lobby. The drinks were great. Some bartenders poured a ...

Very clean and the food was great. Lots of restaurants to choose from. We called before we booked our trip and asked about what type of liquor they served. They told me it was all good quality liquor but come to find out the hard way that we needed to upgrade our stay. It was still good but not the best. The beach was terrible. Rooms are very nice and clean . Oh fo...

This was our second stay at Hotel Marina El Cid and we loved it as much as the first time. This time we were a much larger group (31 people) and the staff were always helpful and friendly when accommodating us. I enjoyed everything about this resort, especially the gym and it’s trainers. Having the opportunity to do yoga almost everyday was fantastic for me. Dalia ...

Amazing food in every restaurant, the best burgers we had were served by the pool next door hotel, where you get all inclusive as well, sister hotel. Lobster nights were delicious too! amazing animation group and pool parties. Mimosa station at breakfast buffet! We will be back there in the very near future.

The reason for choosing this hotel is because I was under the impression that this is an all exclusive adults only hotel. But we were surprised that the hotel was swarming with children. Nothing wrong with it but just false advertisement and misleading information. It was even briefed to us that it is an adults only hotel. Jacuzzi was one we were looking forward to was...

each hotel for the guests faces the sea - no price discrimination for sea view. interiors of the room were luxuriously decorated. bath tub had jacuzzi coupled with in-toilet sound system, making relaxation more pleasurable. the unlimited luxury package had all-you-can-eat fine dining included. not buffet-style which was highly appreciated. but quality of the fo...

The beach is absolutely world class. Amazing sand and clear water. This alone makes the Grand Oasis worth it, but then you add in the 1/4 mile long pool, day parties/concerts, and views of Cancun from the Pyramid and the beach deck are breathtaking. The scene during March and April (Spring Break) is for singles looking for a good time. The bars and pool are always ...

Shows were pretty amazing (especially the Michael Jackson show!!) Hotel was well kept (I think I recall hearing that this place is only 3 years old?) and the room was very clean—this being my 4th time at a hotel in PV and the only time I wasn’t grossed out by something in the room. Food options were nice. Bar selection was ok—best in the lobby bar but definitely don’...

Hello, I am Taehoon Choi in Korea (South). I stayed your hotel in last month. Checked in 28th Nov and checked out 30th Nov 2018. I booked through Agoda. I gave you 300USD as a deposit when I checked in, but I didn't get it back yet. I issued by my credit card what is MasterCard_KBCARD. And the owner of this credit card is Mr.TAEHOON CHOI. I'd really appreciate it, if...

I have been to Mexico atleast 7 times, I have stayed at all-inclusives before. I consider myself and savvy travel shopper. Not just a value traveler, we also will do luxury. We had my daughters best friend from college with us. I had promised the parents not to leave resort due to the unrest in Mexico's political climate at this time. I chose this resort because it had...

Great option for self-contained, adults-only luxury. Rooms are large, service is good and restaurants are some of the best hotel restaurants available in self-contained resorts in Mexico. I also like the fact that all facilities are new and super fresh/clean. The styling is also decidedly grown-up and modern. Already planning a return trip!

This was a great resort/experience. The staff was overwhelmingly accomodating and pleasant. They went out of their way to ensure a great experience. Food and drink quality was fantastic. If I were to choose anything to mark less than perfect was that the rooms seems slightly "out of date." Nevertheless would definitely recommend.

Inability from the reception staff to answer the simple question why they charge your credit card in US dollars as the property is in Mexico and the prices are in Mexican pesos. They mixed up the room charges with the security deposit mixing us dollars and pesos thus seeming like a Micky Mouse accounting as the difference of the card exchange rate and the hotel exchang...

We had fun at this hotel. The liquors they use are the good ones and they don’t cheap out. Compare to other all inclusive hotels I stayed before. As soon as you enter the lobby there is a bartender that can make drinks for u. (On certain hours, I think he is there 1pm to 4pm)There is a selection menu.We loved the uptown funk!! And all the other restaurants were superb...
Cheap places to stay in Mexico

Not the most social hostel due to it being all private rooms and just one 6 bed dorm. The beds were amazing! Mattresses were so comfortable, felt like i was in a tree house, staff were amazing and super helpful and 10/10 for the lady at reception who was as terrified as me of spiders but made sure the garden spider that had wandered intl my room was removed safely.

I loved my stay at Gente de Mas B&B. The location is in the center of Puebla. It is within walking distance to all the major attractions (Zocalo, Amparo Museum, etc.), although it is farther than some other hostels. However, it is closer to the bus station with buses to Cholula. The staff are great and attend to your every need and answer all your questions. At least i...

This is a great place to stay. The dorm is quiet, it isn't a party hostel, the beds are comfortable, the place is kept clean and tidy. There is a kitchen and TV lounge. The staff are friendly. You are a little bit away from the noise and hustle of the main town but not so far that its ever a problem. The WiFi is good and there is a laundry place downstairs (it's b...

The best bed I’ve had for my entire trip in mexico. Shower is powerful. The STAFFS, so friendly and welcoming. Never hesitate to help you in any case. Location is great as well. Beach, market, town are in walking distance. And there’s brunch cafe in the hostel, they have REALLY GOOD and healthy food as well. Overall, the best hostel I’ve stayed. Thank you for making my...

Good hostel, we had a private room and the shower was good inside the room and no problems with shared toilet next to room. Beds comfortable. We did a canyon tour with them but just a warning the tour they put us on was all in Spanish. I think there is an English option though so make sure you ask if you don't speak Spanish. There didn't seem to be a common area/ dinin...

This hostel is a perfect place and relax after a long day of exploring the ruins and other sights. it is super clean with large lockers to store your things. the Air conditioner works well. The hostel is located at a 5 minute walk from the main ADO bus station and a 10 minute walk from the centro.

Good kitchen free refill fridge basic breakfast toast jam margarine céréales coffee tea can have more for extra pesos nice terrace not really common area only dining room where you have breakfast with one sofa I recommended very much the hostal nice relaxing place to visit San Miguel

This gorgeous, well-kept, organised hotel is surrounded by jungle and has a creek flowing through it, just, paradise.. The staff was just absolutely fantastic, friendly and forthcoming with any and all requests and do their absolute best. The rooms are cleaned daily and dilligently and there's even a kitchen to prepare food for oneself. The kitchen is humbly stocked, ...

perfect for what I needed. close to everything 5 minute walk to bus. simple cheap and clean. I got one small bed a few shelfs and a fan. toilets and showers are clean and plentiful. walls are a little thin and it didn't seem very social in the one night I was there.

This is a hostel so it caters to value customers. I am one of them as I usually do not care too much about extra services and only need a clean and comfortable room. The hostel provided just that and I was surprised that they had also a decent breakfast included in the price. The rooms are much taller than usual so the space is great. The room was also very clean. The ...

Good location, only a few min walk to the main square. But, we booked a private room with ensuite and the shower was rubbish and the bed was really uncomfortable. Also, there was a big gap above the door, which opened up to the hotel courtyard, so not very private. Staff were friendly. We have traveled a lot and dont mind basic hostels but this one could do with so...

This is a great hostel. The dorms were good, the fan was fine in November. The lockers were great. The kitchen is outside in a very nice long narrow green garden. The included breakfast was really great. Location is central. I Rented a bike and rode to four cenotes, highly recommended. The town square is close and quite active on the weekend. Nice easy going town.

We stayed there for 11 days me and my boyfriend who is paraplegique. This hotel was better than all the one we have visit in Canada. The bed was too hard for my boyfriend but I had planned it so we had an air mattress for him (otherwise he would have end up with wounds for sure). The room was wide enough with a roll-in shower. The hook for the shower was a bit to high ...

We are absolutely satisfied with the hostel. The staff is incredibly nice and has always asked us if everything was ok and given us a lot of good tips for excursions. The breakfast was great, we got a fresh meal every morning. The room has everything you need. A suggestion of mine would be small bedside lamps, so you do not have to get up before sleeping to make out...

When I checked in, I didn't really had the feeling I'm welcome. But my two talks with the receptionists afterwards were friendly and nice. Everything is clean so far but it also appears a little bit sterile. The atmosphere didn't let me feel like people want to socialise. But it is very close to the bus station and you can also book tours in the hostel. They offer a bi...

I chose Hospedarte because of the great reviews, and it lived up to expectations. I am arriving as the global coronavirus pandemic is in full swing, which means that everything, everywhere, is a bit surreal. Travelers are in need of a safe harbor in this storm. Hospedarte offers us a safe haven, acknowledging the necessary practical measures. Equally important,...

Impressed with the room size and cleanliness! Fantastic location in the heart of Mexico City within walking distance to many attractions. Friendly, helpful staff with continental breakfast options. I would highly recommend this hostel - felt more like a hotel for a fraction of the price! Thank you!

very recommandable hostel in Morelia! we had a rooftop single room, with a nice view over Morelia. The staff is great and the fresh fruits for breakfast are best :) we'd liked the location in the heart of the city near a market and some delicious bakerys and restaurants! wifi is fast and you'll get also additional information about the surrounding area.

Walking distance to the center of Mexico City and inside of luxuly mall, the hotel is located on the perfect spot. However, once in the room it looks old and not clean, so it was a bit disappointing especially when it had been perfect until lobby and the pics of room is so nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and when I don't speak spanish and it's not easy ...

The place with sofas are just at the dorms entrance and people stay here all the night to talk sometimes with music, this is bad and not possible to close one of the door so we have light aswell. The receptionists are good and the bathroom not bad, the cleaning women spend a long time to clean everywhere everyday. Good location.
4-star hotels in Mexico

the resort is amazing, is very beautiful and clean but the food and liquor was horrible. the buffet has cheap non tasting food and the liquor omg taste like it was mix with water, I believe all bottles has water in it. other than that the resort was beautiful and the workers where kinda lost, one say something the other one say something else. very bad giving directio...

The location in Cancun is great, with a nice beach and close to the "downtown" hotel area (10 min walk). Staff is great and the hotel is fine. What is not that great is the food, rather blend with the twist that the Mexican food is really bad. The Italien resturant is the best.

The beach is absolutely world class. Amazing sand and clear water. This alone makes the Grand Oasis worth it, but then you add in the 1/4 mile long pool, day parties/concerts, and views of Cancun from the Pyramid and the beach deck are breathtaking. I liked that the food was amazing! It doesn't have as much entertainment and another resort we've been to in Mexico. It was cool you could go to the other resorts that is with royal sands to eat at the different restaurants. The fee that agoda says you have to pay is in pesos for the environmental fees. Ours said $290 and it really was only a few US dollars. The pools ...

From the moment you walk in till the moment you walk out , you are treated like royalty. Everything was above and beyond expected especially during spring break. this hotel has everything you can wish for, except free wi-fi, which is a bit strange since most hotels in mexico city offer free wi-fi and still are less pricey than the the hilton reforma is charging per night. difficult to find out why. hilton policy? but the location is great and the room, spacious and silent, with a spectacular view (if you are high up) is perfe...

The Hyatt Regency in Merida is a great hotel, just a 20 minute walk from the main town square. The room was clean and spacious, with a large in-room safe. The staff were very friendly. I did not try the in-house restaurants so cannot comment. The pool area was stylish, but the pool would be better if it was heated... the water was very very cold. Otherwise it’s a grea...

following a horrendous drive from the airport, traffic +++ arrived at the hotel and the staff where fantastic. The Fiesta has great local location with very nice facilities . Good value .Very nice staff . The hotel needs a revamp in places . Bath plugs do not work .....coffee makers not good . The biggest problem at the hotel is the noise from the bars opposite side of road . It goes on from sunset to 7am ! FULL VOLUME ! The local municipality obviously has no rules about nois...

My first Cancun experience became wonderful thanks to GR Caribe By Solaris. All staffs are very kind and helpful. All restaurant's foods and drinks are excellent. Especially Marco polo is my best place. Don't miss making the reservation. I have 4-year-old daughter. She loves all pools and Kids club. She enjoyed water slides again and again. If I had to pick up disappoi...

Only issue is we were not told prior to booking we would have to switch rooms until check in. Explanation for Time Share ownership was reasonable and acceptable however when bellhop called for us to move, we were moved to a room that was not clean. It was dirty, disgusting, with odors. We almost wanted to leave the resort. After the room was cleaned, we stayed and the ...

This hotel is a wonderful option if you don’t want to rush through the ruins and have a night to spare. Good service, magical grounds. The bungalows are private and quiet. I happened to find a fair price on Agoda, but had I paid the regular asking price, not sure I would have been so happy - so shop the price.

We stayed in a Junior suite at the HM Paraiso Del Mar in Holbox for 6 days and it was really great. This is a quiet resort I think best suited towards relaxed couples and low maintenance families, not a party scene (thank god!). We were one of at least 3 LGBT couples staying at the hotel, which was nice to see, and we always felt very safe and taken care of. The staf...

We loved our time at Playa Grande- everything exceeded our expectations! The location is perfect- right on the beach and an easy walk to town. The service, food and accommodations were all outstanding- even though they were near 100% occupancy it did not feel crowded. The gym is state of the art and the Kids Club was a big hit with our children- they said it was a lot ...

The stay I had was in a room that was between the pool and the restaurant courtyard so the noise was a pretty big issue. One day they had a PA system set up on the courtyard which was incredibly loud in the room... there was no warning of this either. Staff were very helpful even tough and the location and pool (although small and shallow) were both good.

A very clean and comfortable hotel with an amazing breakfast. The staff are incredibly hospitable and kind, but most do not speak English (best to rehearse a few sentences in Spanish if your not fluent). Only thing missing in this hotel is a pool, then it would easily be a 5 star.

We actually spent 9 days at the Fiesta Americana. We arrived and were greeted by the front desk with cool water and a relatively quick check-in! We had booked a king-size bed, but were given two small doubles. Without asking, we were given a coupon to use the Sonne exclusive pool and we were told we would have a room with a king -size bed two nights later. The res...

This was our second visit to an Excellence property and our great experience the first time was not a one-off. Their staff makes you feel welcomed all the time and many of them show how much they enjoy their work and truly wants to give the best experience to their guests. Gorgeous views of the ocean from the room! The staff and butlers were the best part of this resort! Our assigned butlers were Ingrid and Erika and they were outstanding. They went out of their way to make sure...

Service and staff were exceptional. From the moment we stepped on the property until we left we felt pampered. The property is very clean and well maintained. It was nice to have the additional dining options that were available on the adjoining properties. There is no doubt that we will be returning.

Food is plenty with great flavours. . Our favourite was Mastogo which served authentic Mx food. Boutique hotel with about 90 suites. Located in Puerto Morelos, not Cancun. The beach was horrible. One of the main reasons I go to Mexico is to enjoy the beach. The water was brown and smelled. Great location to visit Quintana Roo and Yucatán - lots of history nearby. Coral reef 5 minutes away, Cenotes and water parks 30 minutes away. Staff was amazing - from check in to check out we had absolutely the BEST TIME. Thanks Alfredo, Moises, Jose Miguel, Francisco, Anna, and EVERYBODY else.

I have been at me cabo before. You pay a lot If money for a solo traveler and not even breakfast was included. The ambience, music service drinks is great but the food at the pool restaurant needs to improve. Especially the pasta dish. Penne balsamic pomodoro I think it was called. It was so bad I had to ask them to take it back and I never do anywhere even if the food ...

First time going my to Mexico and it was better than I imagined. We also enjoyed the restaurants and were reasonably priced. We both enjoyed Hiroshi and had amazing food while watching the sunset....

This was my first trip to Mexico City in many years, and the W hotel did much to make all my concerns go away - and made my week long stay very comfortable indeed. To mention ju...

Stay was absolutely perfect, great hotel by all merits, attentative staff, excellent rooms, design, really top notch hotel... only minor was not linked to hotel itself, Presidente Masary is being renovated and it is very hard to walk with the extra baggages on your way to hotel

This hotel is a lovely, quiet oasis in Ajijic, with a view of the lake and mountains. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a large glass shower facing the outdoor veranda. It's a bit of a walk to town to get dinner or lunch, about 8-10 minutes, crossing over the busy main road. The Malecon is a pleasant stroll in the morning and at sunset along the la...
