Great staff good location Mould in shower small breakfast
We booked an ensuite room but have arrived to drop our luggage at 11am. We told the hotel we'll be attending a concert and will be back late. When we checked into our room at 10.30pm, we realized the bathroom light wasn't working. The manager on duty, told us he'd come "right away" to our room to have a look but he didn't do so for the next 2 hours, and because the phone also wasn't working, we had to go down to the lobby. He then told us he had to man the lobby as he's the only guy working. It's really not our problem that the hotel is understaffed. He also didn't tell us this when we first enquired and we've just been sitting in our room waiting for people to come up. It doesn't help that there's no WiFi signal in the room on the 3rd floor and the TV also wasn't working. He didn't offer any apology, let alone compensation, and just asked us to use the communal bathroom. We're two girls staying and that's why we wanted and paid for an ensuite room. It's only until 00.30am when the late night manager came on duty that he came to our room and fixed it within 10 minutes (and turns out the switches for the shower and the light were swapped) If he had come up perhaps he would've been able to fix it for us right away and spared us 2 hours waiting. Very disappointing experience.

“Scarborough stay”
After walking out of The Bootham Tavern, due to live music which was not addressed by AGODA when we booked. We needed somewhere to stay we found the Delmont on the site. The hotel needs renovating but the location and the excellent restaurant makes up for this👍
