Dolor Hotel Nightmare”
I recommend that this hotel be banned from any online booking site. It was very easy booking, I never thought it will give me worries on how to take back my payment that the bank had charged already. Simply beacuse I wasn't actually able to check-in. How could I? - there was no staff at the hotel entrance; No any Way Sign to lead the guests; the contact number is unreachable.. Now its my problem how to make refund

If you are just looking for a place to crash in before heading to Calaguas, Dolor Hotel is an option. Its location is nice because there are convenient stores and fast food chains around the corner. The hotel proper is located on the third floor of the building and there is no elevator present. It is kinda far away from Daet port (bound to Calaguas Island), you will need to allot 30 minutes of travel time from the hotel to the port. But it is near Bagasbas beach! Just around 15 minute travel. The room we got is very spacious (like a family room with 2 queen beds) and the shower's hot water is working fine. Got some small roaches here and there but it didn't mind us since we are only staying overnight. We were a group of 3 and as per booking, there was breakfast included. We thought that it is also good for the pax that will be staying but it is only good for 2 pax. Nonetheless their staff is really warm and welcoming. Thank you Dolor Hotel Team!

Worth to stay”
Worth to stay since it was located town of daet. The room was big enough for a solo traveler like me which incudes free breskfast. Bagasbas beach is 5-6mins away from the hotel. The hotel is accesible enough to different stores and walking distance to these places: The First Rizal Monument, Daet Capitol and St John de Baptist Church.

Located along the main hiway at the center of the main market place. Close to all establiahments. The hotel needs facilities upgrade. The staff needs to be oriented more regarding online bookings. First, had to call them as we will check in late and was informed that they only prepared 1 room but our booking is for 2 rooms (2 Rooms, 3 Guests). And, during our check out, i was the one to inform them that i will pay them for the booking (Pay to the Property option of Agoda). And the initially insisted to pay their regular rate and not the one shown on the Agoda app. I even have to call Agoda to clarify the matter (called the hotline using my mobile, was on hold for 20mins). On duty manager did not even talked to us after the Agoda agent clarified with him. After they talked to Agoda using my mobile, it was clarified that we will only pay what is reflected on the Agoda App. Overall, it was ok, the hotel just really need to be more aware regarding the terms and conditions of online bookings.

Cheap for a reason”
Dolor hotel is very cheap for a reason. It's very old and not well maintained. It's great if you just need a cheap bed but don't expect much else. They don't even provide a blanket. Just a small half size bed sheet that doesn't even cover one person completely. The bathroom areas are a nightmare. Water pressure is almost non-existent and it takes forever to try and shower under that trickle of water. If you get a working water heater you're very lucky. Great place if you need a super cheap bed but I wouldn't stay here long term.

Had online reservation set days before arrival and when we got there they said we didn't have a reservation. they then wanted to charge me 2 times the rate I had already paid for online. I then redid my reservation right in front of clerk and she accepted it then. Room was suppose to have full size bed and when we got in it was only single so we had them bring a rollaway for us to sleep on but failed to mention that they would be charging me extra 200 pesos the next day for the extra bed. They also advertised breakfast included but the next morning after the 2 of us had eaten they informed us that only 1 person got the free breakfast and the other now owed an extra 120 pesos. It just appeared to me that they were adding fees at every corner to increase their profit margin once you were committed to their establishment. Room was on very busy street with lots of noise that was more then earplugs could block and their was no parking for a vehicle closer then about 5 blocks away on street.
