The best thing when you arrive at a foreign country is to be greeted with a great smile and helpful local. The host Daniel was somehow a person like this. As other reviews mentioned, Daniel always concern that his guests might get lost when finding the apartment. He would email a video and map once booking. He even asked your flight details and arrival time to expect your arrival to his place. Very accommodating host. He would gladly introduce places to go and nice meals. He patiently showed us the easiest way to get to Hongik area - 2 subway stops away. His staff - Nate was friendly too. This house is close to Songjeong subway station, which is only 1 stop away from Gimpo airport (~5 min). The earliest subway operates at 5.50 ++ am. We have no problem to catch it to reach airport for 7am flight to Jeju.

Korstay is my "home" in Seoul, that's my first impression when i first reach the hotel. I am a sole traveller and were at Seoul for 10 days. I stayed at Korstay the entire trip and i never felt like home when i travel and this is my first time i have such a feeling. I would like to thank Jimmy, Andy and Huang Wu Ying for their warmth hospitality. Korstay, in chinese, it is translated as "Korea friend's house". It's not hotel but the room is cozy and it makes me feel that i am in my own room, with my private bathroom. The room equipped with a double bed (since it is a double room). Simple but just good enough. The bathroom is clean. They also provided some lotions and face liquids and it's not those small traveller's size, it's those household 1 litre size. At first, i booked the hotel and then saw a review that no internet access in room except the public area. I called and requested for a room with good reception of wifi because i need to check work emails daily. They promised and gave me room and i am very satisfied. The hotel is very new, started last July 2012 and it's clean and convenient. Everything is just walking distance (within 5 minutes) - lots of restaurants, convenient shops, Watson, McD, Outback steakhouse and even the market is just on the next street where you can get all the fresh foods and fruits. The hotel does not have lifts but no worries, the guys who work there are very kind and strong and willing to lend their hands to carry your luggage. Although it's small, they took care of my breakfast. I got morning call every morning whenever the breakfast is ready. It's a simple english breakfast with bread, ham, egg and salad but it was freshly made by the guys. i really appreciate this gesture. Apart from Korean, english,speak english and i think.....japanese? So, i never have a feeling that i am at Korea at all. Korstay, i will be home again

we reached there around midnight after our night flight to seoul. The best way is to take the airport express train to gimpo airport station, then take a taxi to the hotel, cost about US$3-5. The room is big and spacious, with a heater. The LCD tv in the room is an added bonus with many Korean channels. The staff spoke basic english and even woke up at 6am to help us to hail a taxi in the cold winter morning.

3 minutes from jeungmi station exit 4. Turn left after exit, go straight towards mini park, and turn right at first intersection. You will see the hotel. There’s nearby restaurants. Tous me jour for bread. We ate at nearby Galbi yakiniku, it’s awesome just 2 minutes away from hotel. Price is reasonable for the quality of beef. The hotel is small, but clean, quite and affordable. There’s English Channel like CGV, OCN & SUPER ACTION. Booked this at promotional via Agoda. Recommended. Check in is 5pm that’s downside. You can leave your luggage before check in. But not allowed after check out.

When I arrived at the hotel the woman at the reception was very kind and explained to me how to turn on the air condition and other things, which is a bit different from other countries. The whole room was full of high tech, nearly every device made by Samsung, of course. When I stepped into the bathtub I was a bit shocked, but positively, because it was soft. Everything was very clean, and the design was nice. I will stay there again.

On Agoda, the check in time stated 5:00pm. Upon arrival, however, the hotel staff said check in was at 10:00pm. There was no budging on this issue. Since I was to play violin for a wedding in the evening, I needed to shave, shower, and get ready. Sadly, I could not and had to get ready in a bathroom near the venue. The room itself was fine, but the different check in time really put a damper on the Christmas Eve plans.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Compared to other hotels around this time of the year (late December), the price was pretty amazing and the location was not excellent, but it was okay by the fact that it's located right at the subway station (line #9). Yes, it requires to travel to go to the heart of the city, but line #9 goes through the city so with an express train, it didn't take that long. The hotel itself was clean but they didn't make up my beds when I asked them to clean. I left "no new sheets" card on my bed, but still I expected to see clean beds with tucked in sheets and everything. The room was literally just vacuumed and stocked with new amenities and towels. Hotel restaurant. I'm not sure if a small cafe/restaurant on B1 belongs to hotel or not, but I tried their lunch buffet (Korean food; 9,000 won per person) and it wasn't satisfying. Everything was too salty or sweet. The hotel is surrounded by tons of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Go out and eat.

It was a transit hotel for us as we were flying off to Jeju the next day. Best way to get to the hotel is to take the airport Limosine bus and stop at Balsan station. It's about a 5 mins walk and still manageable with large luggage. hotel is very strict with check in time. Though there is an option to pay KRW20,000 to check in earlier which we paid in order to deposit our bags and refresh ourselves. It's very closeby the Balsan station and there are lots of eateries in the vicinity and a nice big Daiso within walking distance. Not all staff were friendly however it wasn't bad at the same time. Balsan station is a short 3 stops away from Gimpo Airport which was so convenient for us. Would highly recommend to anyone who is just transiting for a night or two

I enjoyed my stay here for 4 nights 5 days. Hotel rooms + Toilets were clean. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very simple but was satisfactory. There are also many restaurants, cafes and bars around the hotel to choose from. For transport, its only a 5 min walk to the bus station & train station. Will visit again next time as it was good place to just to sleep in.

I got a superior room for a good price trough agoda. I used to live in korea, and usually I stayed in a downtown hotel (hotel Manu) so I was a little bit worried about the location of SR. Hotel. In fact, 5 min distance you have the Line 5 of Seoul subway. With 1 transfer you can go to Insa, Myondong etc....metro is cheap. The room was big, beautiful and with a 4 stars comfort, excellent. Close to SR. you have NC department store, with lots of restaurants. Amuse, the hotel restaurant is also good. Nice staff, I definitely come back next time.

The hotel near the subway, good enough if you need a hotel to stay near gimpo airport. the rooms are clean, but a little small. It is a love hotel though, surrounded by a number of other love hotels. but it's ok, no loud banging noises at night, as long as you dont mind the sight of young couples hanging around who are obviously checking in. There are food restaurants nearby as well.

The hotel is nice and clean. The staff was very professional and spoke good English. The room was clean and comfortable but a little small. The room had a wonderful view of the city especially at night. I really liked that the rooms have electrical outlets that take US plugs. You won't need an adapter to plug in your phone or laptop. There is a restaurant on the roof with spectacular views and another one on the first fl with a nice patio and all you can drink beer. The airport bus is located near by. About 1 minute walk. The area around the hotel isn't a tourist area but the subway is less than a 5 minute walk. From there you can get anywhere in the city for under $2.

this is one of the best hotels i have been stayed in south korea, it is nice and clean the room is excellent. the location of the hotel is very close to gimpo airport make it best choice to catch early flight out of gimpo. the hotel is surrounded by shopping malls and provide easy access to those stores. should there be some improvement, i would suggest provide better sign to show how to get to airport terminal buildings, maybe it is simply me who did not find them or i did not ask. two thumbs up.

I have stayed in this hotel three times now and have been mostly satisfied on each occasion. The hotel is supposed to be a so-called "Love Motel" but honestly has the feeling of a regular hotel. The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated with wooden furnishings. There was a huge flat screen tv and 2 PCs with internet access. Some might say that the cleanliness of the bathrooms are a little under par. Huge, deep hot tub in the bathrooms. The rooms are always a little too hot for my liking. I usually have to open a window to cool the room down. Staff dont really speak much English but do their best to help. Best hotel in the area.

The Mayfield is a resort complex away from the street in its own little area. It is very convenient to the airport and has a shuttle which runs right to Gimpo. We stayed for one night in between flights. The biggest beds they have are doubles, but they are very comfortable with great linens. For being a five star hotel, the room is a little run down, especially the carpeting which needs to be cleaned. The lobby is very pretty. All the food and room service is very expensive, but you have few other options. The best part was the staff. They were very helpful from letting me wash baby bottles in the kitchen and warming up food. In addition, when there were no cabs in the area and we were getting late for our flight, the hotel called one of their cars and drove us to the hotel free of charge - very nice!
