I've been in Pattaya for countless number of times and this is the first time ive been in Golden Sea Hotel , my experience here were phenomenon , at first i wasn't expecting the check in was so smooth because we were there early and the counter said check in time is 2pm , we arrive 12 plus and there is room for us already counter staff are friendly smile through out our check in adding on to that we were welcome with cups of refreshing orange juice ( really thoughtful !) , the room are so roomy it actually can held 2 family in one room nicely , we wasn't expecting that as well because the picture shows are just pretty normal , and with the price you pay for , is really well worth the money . Greatest thing about this hotel " A Great Team of Counter Staff " need not to say they are really helpfull and they really have great knowledge about whole of Pattaya , whenever we are unsure about how and where to go , they explain to us in real detail , we feel really safe with their guidance. will definitely come back soon .

After researching and reading many hotel reviews on Agoda, Golden Sea stood out for me given its location on Soi Buakhao. Central to everything by means of a short Baht bus ride or 10-15 minute slow walk to Walking Street if you want that intensity of night life. If your preference is the small bars and other Soi’s they are at your doorstep. Check in/check out was efficient. Room was presented well and maintained daily. Room was quiet. Pool, although shallow, offered welcome, refreshing respite upon returning to the hotel each day. Staff were pleasant and very helpful.

Not a bad place to stay in Pattaya”

the golden sea is a good hotel with clean rooms and a balcony. it is in a quieter area about 5 minute walk to beach. the rooms are value for money and the breakfast is good. the rooms have a bath with a shower. tv(old style), fridge, safe and spacious. i have stayed here many times and it is in central pattaya but not on the main beach road.

My 3rd or 4th time in Golden Sea. 10 days this time. I always stay in building 1, as it is more quiet. Rooms are quite nice, spacious, neat balcony w/ pool view. Staff is friendly. Soi Buakhao is 50 meters away, I never take breakfast because I'm usually sleeping by morning time, but Nicky's restaurant is just around the corner, on your left, and they have delicious food. Also plenty of taxi bikes that can take you anywhere in Pattaya. WiFi is fast and reliable. So, overall, it's a good place to relax and just enjoy your holidays.

Handy location to Central Pattaya”

The Golden Sea in Pattaya is a good hotel with friendly staff and very clean rooms.It is central to the local markets that operate every Saturday and Tuesday with some excellent bargains to be had by all.The food from the local cafes is great value and a variety of cuisines can be tried.If there is only one downturn thatis that the TV reception needs improving.

This hotel is very close to the Soi buakhow and the amazing night life of Pattaya. We booked deluxe rooms and they were very big in size. Walking street is at a walking distance of 10 mins and you will have to minimum 200THB while coming back, if you are in a group of 4-5 or more. The staff very quick enough to resolve my issue (although i faced only AC issue on 1 night). Rest everything was great. We got to know from the local people of pattaya that this hotel tops the chart of 3* star category and believe you me, they were right. Deluxe room had kettle for coffee and tea and you get 2 bottles of water complimentary every day. Seven eleven and pattaya city hotel is at a walking distance of 2-3 mins.. I will come back and stay at this hotel again.

Good Rooms.”

I enjoyed my stay at Golden Sea. It was well priced and good value for the price. Staff were excellent. Rooms were of good size and very clean Location is good being in Soi Bukhao which has many bars and restaurants. It is also within walking distance to LK Metro and Beach Road. Breakfast was a little disappointing during my stay for the simple reason that everything was cold. The buffet options were very good, however the burners below were all off which influenced my rating from very good to disappointing. Maybe it was that particular day as it was really busy with many Indian families. Hotel is guest friendly. I only stayed the one night and value for money wise, would give it another try.

really enjoyed my stay at the Golden Sea hotel, only booked for 3 nights, but ended up staying 6 nights, the staff spoke good english, and where very helpfull, the room service was spot on, very nice hotel, and will stay again when visiting Pattaya.

Friendly staff”

This was my 2nd visit to Golden Sea & i found it again a very satisfying stay. I only had one problem with the maid service on level 7, she was too slow in cleaning the rooms, a few mornings i left the room at 9.30am then returned around 3-4pm to find that my room hadn't been cleaned. Reception offered me a room on level 6, the maid service from there-on was excellent. The 1st week i had the pool all to myself though into my 2nd week there were a group of Chinese families..kids screaming which wasn't pleasant. Though overall i recommend this hotel for price & location.

Great stay good location. Breakfast is good. Room is large. staff are very friendly. Swimming pool is nice and clean. if i visit pattaya i will come back for sure Golden sea

Amazing Room, Amazing Value!”

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. I got an excellent deal on this room with Agoda, only $33 for a HUGE room. It had a living room, 2 bathrooms, kitchenette, balcony and a huge bedroom. There were even 2 TVs! Must have lucked out and gotten an upgrade or just a fantastic deal overall. Really amazing hotel. Pool is decent, location is a little further back from the main strip in Pattaya, but easy to walk and get around.

Simply good ”

Great location in the middle of SOI BUAKHAO close to the Pattaya City Hospital on the same road. Lots of bars, massage at good prices and various restaurants just outside the hotel. Easy to take bath car to Walking street and the travel time is less than 10 minutes. The room was clean, spacious and with a nice balcony with view to the pool. The internet connection was bad with limited band width. The bed was with a stone hard mattress which gives a bad sleep! The hotel should equip all beds with a soft thick top mattress of latex or memory foam.

Golden Sea is a large hotel with three separate buildings going up to seven floors. I chose it when all my favourite hotels were full and it proved to be a good choice. Pros: Good size rooms, nice pool, good helpful staff, good location and very efficient lifts. Cons: 100 Baht per hour for early check-in quoted (though it wasn't implemented) and limited choice TV channels. Overall I can recommend this hotel so book with confidence. The breakfast buffet looked good but it was not included in my package.

all in all I think the golden sea hotel is perfect for family and couples it is in a good location although some would not agree with me the main market is very near. the beach is a short baht bus ride 10 baht about 20 pence the staff always polite always look smart always helpfull the cleaners always leave the rooms spotless the breakfast is presented nice but you have realise that they have to cater for many different cultures not just western people this is a very good hotel and very well run thank you to all the staff I had a great holiday

Clean, satisfied ”

This was my 3rd time i've stayed at Golden Sea, it's close to everything i need, money exchange booth, massage shops, 7/11...the bar scene is a little further down soi Buakhao though you can still walk the distance. I had a motorbike so it was only 30 sec down the soi. The 40sqm room is great with a large balcony, the reception is always helpful, the only 2 things that was missing was the pool...closed down for re-tiling, though i could've use the one next door. Also they need to upgrade the TV stations...well lack of them. Sometimes not worth turning the TV on. All in all a good hotel if your looking for cheap,very clean accommodation with no frills, then this hotel i can highly recommend.

Perfect location close to night spots but very quiet ”

Location couldn't be better just off Soi Bakhao and 15min walk to walking street. The hotel was really clean and my room was a lot larger than I expected. The pool is of a good size and there is plenty of room to chill out on a sun lounger. Staff were really friendly and helpful and there is a laundry right outside the hotel which is handy. The buffet breakfast didn't appeal to me but Nicky's restaurant is right outside and has a great breakfast selection. I have to say that this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in Pattaya and I will certainly be staying there again. Just be careful walking outside as the traffic is crazy!

i enjoyed my stay at the golden sea, the swimming pool was very good. the hotel is central to all the night life in pattaya. the staff are very friendly and fast, as for breakfast it is too busy and very hungry people there!!! if you want breakfast wake up early for it. i will stay here again.

Hidden little gem”

The hotel was such a nice little find. The staff were all just so friendly. It is divided into 3 different buildings and because I wanted a bath I stayed in Building 1. The place is massive with a 2 pools I think. The main pool near my building was only working for a day so had to use the smaller one. If you sleep during the day their is building work next door but I never do so I loved it. My only suggestions would be room service, more coat hangers or draws for your clothes and a full length mirror. But even without it was still a fabulous find and I would stay there again. The rooms were perfect also. Very light and airy and big with large balconies but in that nice dark wood Thai style. Without a doubt one of the happiest places I have stayed in Pattaya.
