Near Dogo Hot Spring”
I initially booked Cinnammon Guest House but they did not accept my booking because I was traveling with my nephew who is 11 years old. So I had to book this guesthouse. Just go there if you don't want to spend a lot of money. It is an old house with 3 rooms accommodating maximum 12 people, 4 people each room. Very old and not seem clean but they changed bed sheets every day. If you plan to go to the Hot Spring for bath, you can stay here which is close to it and street market. I had no choice to stay here because hotels in this area are unbelievably expensive on Saturday. So I chose here and luckily my nephew liked meeting new people. The staffs are kind. The only bad point is the facilities: 1 shower which I did not even use, 1 toilet, 1 shared kitchen that is very old. You choose money over convenience.
Best Guesthouse in Japan.”
Very cozy and Sō from the staff is fantastic!
Good”
you can cook there, room is warm, but the host is not so warm.
Homely, quiet and well located.”
A lovely, easy going and quiet place with helpful staff and very close to the Dogo Onsen Station.
Very good”
You may need a little time to locate the hostel at first; once you located it, you wouldn’t have issues locating it thereafter; it’s just a 5-minute walk from the station. The location is good to explore the onsen avenue and the nearby park, simply by walking which save your transport cost. Checkin was easy, English instructions on the facilities were located everywhere in the hostel which facilitates your stay. Very simple facilities but good enough for a night or 2.
