“Great hostel with great people”
The hostel lounge is so comfy. There’s normal desks and there’s low desk with bean bag where you can watch TV. The rooms were also clean and tidy. There’s kitchen / lounge area where you can make your own food or just sit down to relax. Spread in-between the interior is Japanese samurai armor and huge Daruma doll which decorate the place nicely. The staffs were super friendly and helpful. They all have such unique characters and are like a family as a whole which made me feel like I’m hanging out with friends. I had tons of conversations with them during dinner at the bar and also chatted with other guests. Yoshida-san, Jeff-san, and Mana-san taught me a lot about Japanese things and allowed me to try all the different dishes which were delicious. They also suggested places for me to visit around Gunma and offered to drive me to the Gumma-Soja station the next morning. Thanks Jun-san for driving me to the station! I would definitely come again if I visit Gunma so please keep up the great work.
