Very beautiful, peaceful, beachfront location, good staff, good food”
Stayed at Hansar for the 5th time, but it was my first time staying in a suite and I was very impressed. The room was spacious, with a large balcony, day bed, and plenty of pillows. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was cool, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. The only downside was that the toilet took a while to flush. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, but the grounds are spacious and peaceful, with a large pool by the beach and a bar. They also provide water sports equipment. The staff, especially Khun Beer, were excellent. The breakfast buffet was good on the first day and a la carte on the following days. The food was varied and of good quality. The restaurant and shops at Fisherman Wharf were mostly closed, but I recommend walking to Marigold for delicious food at a good price. If you're driving, there's a good rice shop on the way back to the airport. The hotel is also close to Coco Tam's. Overall, I had a great time at Hansar. Thank you!

The service staff were excellent from the very first step, and continued to impress until the very end. I felt the ultimate friendliness and enthusiasm, with a commitment to providing 24-hour service throughout the hotel, from reception to the restaurant, bar, and housekeeping. The location of the hotel is also great, with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, and it's close to many famous shops. The hotel facilities are also worth mentioning, as they are very convenient to use. ☺️
Hansaar Resort Koh Samui (May 24-26)”
The resort is amazing. Upon arriving in the shuttle from the pier we were not sure if this was where we were actually staying. The first impression of this resort was that it was very fancy and the staff was immediately responsive to needs and questions. When we arrived we were kindly taken to their lobby area where we were seated and brought some complimentary fruit juice, which was delicious. Our next great impression of this resort was Ju who was responsible for taking us to our room and talking about the basic (sort of a poor description of this amazing hotel) amenities. There was an amazing infinity pool, a restaurant (which we took advantage of the breakfast every morning, and we also enjoyed the happy hour at the pool side bar. There was also a ping pong table and a pool table that guests can use. The pool area was very clean and had a lot of options for seating. On the walk to our room we were talking with Ju and mentioned that we were celebrating an anniversary during our time in Thailand. Ju congratulated us and obviously made a mental note of this while she explained the open and closing times of the different services, when we could expect the house keeping staff to clean our room each day and told us about the Fisherman's Market that happens every Friday evening that was only a short distance away on a very walking friendly path just beyond the pool at the hotel. The Fisherman's Market was definitely worth the trip and we actually went back to our room at one point, unloaded a few things we bought and went back to shop some more and get dinner/drinks at the market. We happened to get some very authentic Italian style pizza from a food stand (which was only 190 baht) and comfortably fed both of us. Upon arriving back in our room before going to get dinner we got a surprise from Ju. She had taken the time to arrange a beautiful message and a heart made out of flower petals. Après avoir été récupéré par la navette de l’hôtel à l’aéroport (1000 baths A/R), nous avons été très chaleureusement accueillis par l’équipe de la Réception qui nous a offert un verre de jus de goyave délicieux (malheureusement pour nous non vendu dans l’hôtel et rare dans les supérettes environnantes). La personne qui s’est occupée de nous a pris le temps de nous expliquer le fonctionnement des services de l’hôtel, ce que nous avons apprécié. Nous avions réservé une chambre Deluxe pour 6 nuits. La chambre située au rez-de-chaussée (numero 2103 - pratique pour éviter les nombreux escaliers pour les étages) est grande et offre une belle vue laterale sur la mer et la piscine. Nous avons cependant rapidement été incommodés par une forte odeur d’humidité. Le lendemain matin après une nuit compliquée avec également le déshumidificateur qui a sonné, nous avons demandé si une solution pouvait être apportée. Nous avons d’abord eu un nettoyage en profondeur et diffuseur d’odeur mais quelques heures plus tard l’odeur revenant, on nous a proposé de changer de chambre (2102 juste à côté). Quel soulagement, car d’une chambre à l’autre l’odeur est très différente, c’est la roulette russe ! La chambre est certes un peu datée et sombre mais elle est très propre et dispose de beaucoup de place pour ranger ses affaires et d’une immense salle de bain. Par contre, pas d’intimité lorsque vous vous douchez ou allez au toilette car tout est vitré… c’était un peu mieux dans la 2e chambre car un film a été posé sur la paroi de la douche.. cela devrait être le cas dans toutes les chambres d’ailleurs. La chambre étant grande, il manquerait également un fauteuil pour s’assoir ailleurs que sur le lit. Le balcon est magnifique et bien aménagé avec un ventilateur au plafond. Par contre, la télévision ne propose aucune chaîne en français et l’image est de mauvaise qualité. Une smart TV conviendrait mieux pour envoyer ses propres vidéos sur l’écran. Nous avons trouvé le réseau Wifi très faible, nous avions une e-sim qui fonctionnait beaucoup mieux heureusement. Le ménage a été fait avec soin chaque jour et nous n’avons manqué de rien (2 bouteilles d’eau chaque jour et 2 chocolats le soir). Les espaces extérieurs sont magnifiques et extrêmement bien entretenus.. en fin de journée une ambiance très paisible se crée avec les lumières allumées. Il est très agréable de se baigner à la tombée de la nuit d’ailleurs(fermeture piscine 19h). La piscine est très grande avec beaucoup de transats, nous n’avons jamais eu de souci de place. L’eau est à une température parfaite, comme l’eau de la plage devant (mais sable pas très agréable). L’endroit est calme avec juste une peu de musique au bar, la clientèle était principalement des adultes sans enfant lors de notre séjour. Par contre, pas de contrôle des entrées à la piscine.. du coup nous avons vu des passants entrer et se baigner sans aucune gêne ! Ce n’est pas très sécurisant pour les affaires laissées sur les transats pendant les baignades. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est satisfaisant, du choix pour les becs sucrés et salés. Vous pouvez commander une large offre de plats à base d’œuf. Les viennoiseries et jus de fruits ne sont pas bons mais par contre de bons fruits et pancakes/gaufres sont disponibles (à mettre au grille pain car sinon froids). Nous n’avons pas testé le Spa mais il semblait y avoir beaucoup de choix de soins. Nous n’avons pas non plus testé le restaurant car préférions l’offre des restaurants extérieurs. Le gros point positif pour nous est la position idéale au bout du Fisherman’s Village avec accès direct à une allée piétonne propice à la balade de jour comme de nuit, bon choix de restaurants (notamment Coco Tam’s et ses show de feu, Summer by Coco et Bar baguette que nous recommandons) et de boutiques, épiceries et le fameux marché de nuit du vendredi… le coin est beaucoup plus paisible et qualitatif que Chaweng que nous avons détesté (tourisme de masse, magasins cheap sauf le Central Samui, la c
Beautiful hotel with stunning beachfront views”
Excellent location, overlooking the beach and stunning infinity pool. Good amenities in the hotel - ping pong tables, pool tables, gym and spa. The hotel very kindly decorated our room and bathtub for our anniversary! ☺️ Lovely staff, especially at Reception and breakfast. We also booked private, bespoke excursion/tours with the hotel and they were great! Lots of restaurants around the area including Coco Tams for dinner, drinks and the fire shows on the beach, an Australian grill (great burgers!) and lovely seafood restaurants! You also have the Fisherman’s Village market most evenings which is fun! Lots of nice, clean Thai spa / massage places too which are good value - Urban Thai Spa was our ‘go to’. The hotel is located in a much classier area, perfect for couples. Overall, highly recommended and would stay here again!
