The price is cheap, and the staff is kind, but the building is old and not very comfortable. It felt more like an old guesthouse than a hotel, and the rice served at meals was of low quality. It might be good if you're staying while on a pilgrimage? The location has good scenery and convenience.
I was recommended to use this by my parents. The meals were reminiscent of home cooking, and each dish was delicious, infused with the owner's love. There were plenty of dishes and generous portions. I felt a bit embarrassed to be able to eat so much for such a low price. The sashimi served was thick and satisfying, and the grilled pork seasoned with raw onions and ponzu sauce is definitely something I want to try making at home. The citrus fruits cultivated as a side business, such as ponkan, tankan, and bunthank, were also delicious, and my family was very pleased when I brought them as souvenirs. The room was impeccably clean and tidy, and there was nothing to complain about. A morning walk along the beach across the street was also very pleasant.
I stayed on the Otsuki route during my walking pilgrimage. There were so many side dishes that I couldn't finish the meal. Since it was a walking pilgrimage, I was given rice ball bento as a hospitality gift.
Although the estimated arrival time was delayed, I greatly appreciated the adjustments made as best as possible. I recommend it as a pilgrimage lodging heading to the 39th temple, Engoji.
