Excellent short walking distance to the park entrance. The room was decent but nothing special, especially for the price and name of Pullman. Breakfast was plentiful and had some variety each day. Pool was OK, clean and refreshing after a long and very hot day in the national park. Biggest draw was the staff. Very helpful with local information, welcoming on arrival even late at night, and really helped us out with alternative plans when we got stranded due to the typhoon. Made the stay definitely worthwhile.

Huge pool, good breakfast. We came to eat 10-15 min before breakfast closed, and all plates were full of food. Good coffee. Spacious rooms with giant bed, very comfortable. Taxi 6 yuan to the park gate.

Hotel service was fantastic. Special thanks to Mark, who reviewed our pre-planned itinerary and gave us suggestions so that we could have a full Zhang Jia Jie experience. Thankful to be able to see the Tianmenshan clearly on cloudy and rainy week with his suggestion. Tickets could be booked with the help of the hotel concierge as well, so no worries if you go to ZJJ unplanned if you are staying at Pullman.

The hotel has maintenance issues and room does looks dated. I would not rate it a 5 star standard. We were first provided a room with air conditioning issue, then another room with water leaking in the cupboard. Suspected to be from the air conditioning above. The staff did not show much initiative to reduce the inconvenience of room change. It is disrupting our holiday schedules waiting for them to resolve the problem. If I did not request for room change, they would have made me wait in the room for them to repair the issue. The shower looks run down too. Grouting need to be attended to.

Great location and great facilities. The standout was the service though. When I arrived, the staff (Mark) assisted me with booking the tickets. He went above and beyond and even typed out an entire initerary for me which I followed to a tee. The directions were easy to understand and as a solo traveller with fairly minimal Chinese speaking skills, I was able to follow and navigate the parks extremely easily. Otherwise, the only other comment is that the shower was not as clean as I would have liked. There was still hair left in there from the previous guests, however this was promptly cleaned on my second night.
