"This place is amazing! When I booked the place, I didn't expect much, just to play the pool with my 7 year-old boy. I think he's gonna like playing sliders. When we get there, there are lots of impressive things: the location, the look of the hotel, the service, the beach, the bar, the room, and the pool. One of the best things I wanna say to everyone is their service staff are very kind and well-trained. They are willing to answer all of questions you may have with the smile. I don't wanna say but you will feel like god. The bathroom, the pool and the bar are also very impressive. If I wanna to complain, only thing I can think of is parking spot is limited. If it's full, you need to park outside. But there is a staff taking care outside. So no big deal. I am definitely recommended this place to everyone. My boy doesn't wanna leave ^^"

"The hotel buildings are of an unusual, but interesting design that work well in the setting. The pool is large and never crowded with more than enough loungers and sun shades. Although there is no sea view from the main hotel accommodation the access to the beach is very easy. The deluxe poolside room that we stayed in had a large bathroom and was comfortable enough, although due to it's location on the ground floor close to reception there wasn't much natural light. The buffet breakfast was great with plenty of choice to select from. The staff were very helpful and friendly and when there was a Thai TV programme being filmed there they arranged for my partner to have photo's taken with the show's stars. If you need high speed internet in your room then The Dewa probably isn't for you, but internet is available in the library/shop and you are able to connect to Wi-Fi in the reception area. If you want accommodation with a difference stay here, if you want more traditional accommodation in the same price range I'd recommend booking the nearby Amari hotel."

"Stayed for two nights and it was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff were excellent, professional and very knowledgeable. The rooms were spacious and very well maintained. The property is beautiful and the amenities are superb. The food offered by the hotel is a bit limited and things such as alcoholic beverages are a bit over priced which is perhaps to be expected. The only downside was that we did see a hair in one of the breakfast dishes. But overall I can not recommend this resorts highly enough and we will definitely be back."

"When we arrived the wifi didn't work in our room as the router in reception doesn't stretch very far so a lot of the rooms must have this issue, we spoke to reception and they moved our room closer to the reception the next day when it became available, our wifi was much better after the move. The rooms were large with very big beds, although hard mattresses as usual. They were basic but clean and suited us fine as we were out most days. The location of the hotel is a quieter area of the island and in my opinion the closest beach to this resort wasn't the best, however the hotel rent out mopeds and I highly recommend getting one, you can zoom around the island with no trouble and get to all of the nice beaches and restaurants that you want. There are very high steep roads on the island though so be cautious if you're not a confident rider! It was great that this hotel has a pool for such a cheap price of rooms, we loved coming back for a dip to cool down in the afternoon. All in all I would stay at the Sofia garden resort again, the staff were helpful and friendly and it had everything we needed for a low cost."

"Barali is perfection. I have never stayed anywhere better, as relaxing and inspiring, or felt so safe. The location is divine with only a few people enjoying the pretty palm tree beach and calm sea. The silky smooth fine white sand beach is postcard perfect encompassing the delightfully calm archipelago ambience. The entire Klong Prao bay is sheltered so has tiny waves with crystal clear water. The sea is warm and it's possible to walk out a long way before it becomes too deep to stand. On our first day two photo shoots were happening up the beach as we walked towards a gentle fascinating estuary with glow flies at dusk. The hotel is mosquito controlled. I think the resort was fully booked but it was silent and difficult to realise any one else was staying. Motorbikes are available and it is easy to explore waterfalls, amazing unique piers or 'trendy', slightly busier, beaches. I enjoyed seeing White-Bellied Sea-Eagles, fishing and Bhaminy Kite. The Barali breakfast house is five star architecturally. The food is brilliant and the polite and respectful staff are ten star! The pool is perfection too. Our large house was like stepping into a scene from tomb raider because the marble bath and shower are as big as an en-suite private swimming pool. It is not possible to describe in English words the sophistication of this resort. So just don't tell any one about this secret paradise. Nathan Craske"

"Love boutique style decoration & foods very tasty. First meal is burger pork cheese, look hipster like so much. A lot of corners for take photos. I stay one night in Halloween & Loy krathong festival. Thanks so much for the krathong. Staff take good care. In front of bar close to the beach. Lovely atmosphere."

"The hotel is very new and modern, we only paid around £30 a night so it was very good value for money. Only criticisms would be; The staff do not speak very good English but are very friendly all the same. The pool bar is too expensive and the service was very slow. Apart from that, it was a great experience, the sushi in the Japanese restaurant was very fresh and they pool bar had a happy hour! Not only can you use the pool at the hotel but you can get a free shuttle down the road to a sister hotel and use their pool too. The smart-room control panel in the room that controlled all the lights and aircon was very convenient and something special for us, being travelers on a budget! We also looked at beach bungalows on the sea front, and they were around 1500 thb per night or more (the same, or more expensive than what we paid for the gallery) and in comparison the gallery was like a 5 star resort! We definitely would recommend booking the gallery especially for the discounted price on agoda - when we asked the price of an extra night at reception, it was 2047 thb "

"For what we paid, this place was amazing. It's far enough away from the party beach that you don't hear the thumping music til all hours of the night but also in a great location with easy access to the island taxis to take you down to lonely beach to party. It has its own beach that is really nice...the beach at the resort next door was much rockier than this beach. The restaurant offered some great food choices and the view was phenomenal. The cleanliness of the place was on par for what we expected...not a 4 star resort but not bugs everywhere either. There were a lot of small ants but nothing too terrible. The staff was super helpful too. When we asked for recommendations they were happy to offer suggestions. Plus they remembered us each day of our stay and would ask where we ended up going. I would highly recommend this place to any budget traveler looking for a nice place to stay that's right on the beach."
