Checkin was smooth. The room is very new and clean. Room is very well designed for usefulness. For breakfast, you will be given 200 THB voucher and you choose what you eat. The hotel is a part of Central Festival Samui. The parking is shared to the mall. So plenty of parking space. Only 2 minor problems for us. The air-con in the room is slow you have to let it work for a while until you get the cool. The room is not sound proof. You can hear the noise easily from inside the room but acceptable. Great stay, great service and friendly staff.

I enjoy my stayed at Chaweng Villawee.The location is amazing. It's just 5 mins away from Chaweng Beach and nearby Central Festival ,7-11 ,Night Market , ASK BAR , Green Mango , very convenience. The staff very helpful. Khun Ae and Khun Keam they are very excellent. Nice swimming pool. I very like it. Only one thing should be improve " Breakfast" there is no choice.

The hotel is centrally located just on Chaweng beach. The staff is very helpful and nice. The breakfast is poor, not many choices and average quality. Food in the hotel is quite expensive, but one can easily go out to the neighboring streets for great food with less money. The pool is a highlight. It is very big and few people. But in the same time, there is almost no public space in the hotel, because the pool and the pool-access rooms basically occupy all public space. One can only go to the end of the pool or the beach. In general the hotel worth its money we spent. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this hotel.

the samui hotel was excellent and was in a brilliant location. the hotel is a 5 minute walk to chaweng beach and in close range of the shops, bars and restaurants. the room was modern, fresh and clean with a really comfortble bed. our room was spacious and plenty of ammenities. the hotel has a lovely pool and gym. cannot comment on the food as we didnt eat in the restaurant. excellent value for money and the staff are helpful and pleasant.

This hotel was recommended by my Thai friends based in Samui. The Ozo was a great surprise. The rooms and pool area are clean, the beach area is also well maintained. Once can walk to Central Festival in about 10 min along the road, and to Ark Bar along the beach in about 10 min for evening fun. Although the hotel was full, the rooms were quite and there was no evidence of large tour groups. Fun all around with none of the annoyance of large tour groups. Finally, the breakfast and happy hour were both excellent. Good choice for Samui.

Pros - new, very clean rooms and bathrooms - great location in the middle of Chaweng - nice swimming pool and lovely beach - great if you are looking to party with a group of friends - hotel manager ( a lovely girl )reception staff and cleaners very helpfull and friendly Cons - very loud in the evenings - people are partying in the rooms and hotel staff doesnt do anything about it so if you are looking for some quiet time you will not find it there - restaurant staff speaks very little english so its a challange to order anything - lots of mistakes due to language barrier - don’t get breakfast there if you are not looking to eat noodles and chinese food for breakfast - plenty better places around serving also european breakfast - if you are traveling with young kids DO NOT book this hotel - they will not be able to sleep during the night - hotel full of people from China and Israel so if you are looking for more european place and relax you wont find it there

Saumui's Kanda Buri Resort and Spa is one of the best hotels along the Chaweng Beach strip. Although at the very northern tip of the strip, and not in the middle of the action, it is still well located, on the quiet end of the beach. The hotel rooms are out of this world, and all have views. The hotel is divided into two portions - beachside and across the street is another large building. We stayed across the street and it was no inconvenience at all. In fact, a lot of Samui hotels are set up this way (waterfront property is prime real estate, afterall). The buffet breakfast supplied each day was awesome! We left full every morning. The pools in this hotel are clean, huge and beautiful. We would definitely visit this hotel again, and having been home for only one day, we have already talked another couple into staying there on their trip!

Having eventually found the hotel, as there are no signs indicating its location from the main road I can only say how much I enjoyed my stay. I have been coming to Thailand every year for the past 8 years and stayed on Samui on 3 of those occasions and I must say that my stay at the Samui First Hotel has been the best. The hotel was for a 3-star hotel excellent, location for the beach also excellent,(although hotel a little further from the main part of town than I would have preferred) but I cannot fault the service of your staff which was always polite and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and will highly recommend it to all my friends in the U.K.

Mercure Samui Chaweng Tana Hotel is a brand new, high quality hotel. Very good place for its price. Centrally located. Lot of restaurants, motorbike renting possibilities and the beach are nearby. The staff was always kind and helpful. New coming guest names (as welcomed ones) can be seen at the lobby when they enter. The pool is fantastic just like the room (stylish). Definitely worth staying there. I can recommend to everyone.

I cannot find a single negative point for this hotel. Of all the hotels I stayed in Chaweng, this is my new all time favorite. The building and rooms are brand new and have all the facilities you need. There is a swimming pool on the roof, you can have an english breakfast. It is close to Central Festival shopping center and Chaweng' s nightlife. But not too close, so you are not bothered by the noise of the music. Friendly and helpfull staff.

Ploen is located very close to the main road but far enough for the noise not to be a problem. The room is not big but the furniture is so properly managed that it feels spacious. It is also very clean, kind of new, and with pantry including sink, dishes, cuttlery and a microwave. It is very close to the beach, however the public access is like 5 minutes walking. If you dare, you can always cross through some other resort. It is really just around the corner. You can also follow the road up to Central Festival Samui. A bit further, but a pleasant walk full of shops. The pool is a bit awkward as it is located on the Cafe and the sky pool is more like a jacuzzi, but that shouldn't stop you from relaxing on it a bit. Internet is free, fast and reliable, which is a plus. The staff is very friendly, with good english skills and willing to help. Stayed for more than a week and not a single problem was found. It is a pleasant stay, very good place, good located and, yes, with pantry. I would come back if travelling to Samui :-)

What makes this hotel a unique one is the location. The night life of chaweng is at your doorstep in here. Ark bar, soi green mango, the hard rock cafe, chaweng night market, central festival samui etc. are all in walking distance. The room was also clean and fresh, though there was no toiletries in the washroom except for a shampoo and shower gel dispenser. Overall, since we were in a back pack trip, it was the perfect pick for our stay.

Nice and quiet, yet close (walking distance) to everything noisy, including the beach. Nice BIG clean rooms. Extended our first night for 4 more days there. My first comment actually in 10 years time in Agoda living and traveling asia. Was ripped off in previous Samui hotel with worst treatment that I've seen anywhere in Asia (wrong room type, wrong bed etc) so Lotus diserves my thank you note :) Great place!

The hotel is new and clean, but the standard room with balcony which i booked is small, which has a little extra space just barely enough to open your luggage. There is a bar and pool on top of the hotel, free buffet on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday! The staff will clean your room, replace the towel and refill the toilet paper & bottled water everyday. Hotel is located at Chaweng Beach which is one of the most happening place in Koh Samui! 5 minutes walk to the beach and 15 minutes walking distance to Central Festival Mall. Friendly and helpful front counter staffs which can converse in English. Front counter is operating 24 hours a day! You may rent a bike or arrange for transport to the jetty with reasonable price with the hotel. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends who want to stay in Chaweng!

I've stayed at the Chaweng Budget Hotel now a few times during my many years of visiting Koh Samui. I've shopped around for various other hotels over the years, but I always seem to find myself wanting to come back to the Chaweng Budget Hotel. For one thing, the hotel is in a good location. South Chaweng is, to my mind, the best part of Chaweng Beach. You get away from the crowds and the noise, and yet you can get down to the busy strip easily enough if you want to. The beach itself is also much better for swimming at this end, and it's generally just a nicer area overall. The staff at the Chaweng Budget Hotel are always friendly. Each time I stay, it feels like coming home. The rooms are clean and well-attended, and they still offer one of the best breakfasts on the entire strip for this kind of money. Plus, you get to use the health and pool facilities of its sister hotel. All in all, it's hard to beat the Chaweng Budget Hotel for this kind of money.

Wanted to book a cheapish hotel for a couple of days in Chaweng to go diving. Chose this based on the price. It was clean and quiet and just what we needed. The manager was also very friendly and helpful with lots of tips on what to do and where to go for the rest of our Koh Samui hotel. He even organised an early takeaway breakfast for us to take diving, as breakfast didn't begin until after our pick up time!

First Residence Koh Samui was better than I expected. Their logo says "Budget Luxury" so I anticipated a cheap hotel that pretends (on the surface) to be a luxury accomodation with worn down cheap materials and poor standard, but I was wrong. I suggest the hotel change their logo to "Affordable luxury". The location was ideal with free parking under the house, big room with balcony, well equipped with everything you need. Big comfortable bed, clean bathroom (also very clean bathtub!), rich and tasty breakfast, lovely pool with jacuzzi, free beach blanket and access to free sunbeds on the beach, free safety lockers in he reception - and very friendly staff. We had a very pleasant stay and I can strongly recommend it.

This is a beautiful property located within walking distance of Central Festival and all the amenities. My Jr Suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. I enjoyed my stay. I arrived at 8 AM but my room was already prepared and waiting for me. The staff gave a clear briefing on the room, A/C controls, internet log-on and other facilities. Housekeeping were friendly and effective. The pool was clean, well maintained and had lots of loungers with cushions. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The other guests came from all over the world and everyone was quite pleasant. There is a shuttle that leaves hourly for the short hop into town or you can easily walk along the lakeshore walkway. On the hill behind the resort is a beautiful pagoda which affords a view of the surrounding countryside and the town of Chaweng. A few items to be aware of to manage your expectations: the satellite TV has only 2 English language stations. The neighbouring property often hosts very loud parties that last past midnight. The pool closes at 6 PM.

I usually keep my reviews short and sweet, but this place deserves a special mention. It was one of our most enjoyable stays in our 1 month travels through Thailand. The hotel: New, clean, excellent wi-fi. The rooms: WOW! These are actually studio apartments, not just rooms. This means lots of space! There were actually 4 beds in our room! The bed was very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. The shower worked perfect. The air-con was great. The wi-fi was flawless. The balcony was big. What more can I say? Location: On the map you may think you are away from the action, this is not the case. You are at the South end of Chaweng, but as soon as you turn the corner, you're in the action! About 10 min walk to Central Festival. 2 mins from the beach. I actually prefer this section of the beach... less hawkers / people etc... - a lot more relaxing Breakfast: Breakfast is included in the room price. We were not expecting much, but WOW, we were blown away! Proper 'english' breakfast, which lined us up for the day. Great quality and good portions, we were impressed. The staff: WOW. I have honestly never met such hospitality in Thailand. It is run by a very particular French man and his lovely wife. They truly make you feel at home. The husband is very helpful and spent a lot of time chatting with us, we had great banter with him (being Irish we find it easy to mingle with people). He is truly a gentleman and knows how to treat his guests. His wife is also very helpful and again makes her guests feel very welcome. I wish them every success with this new business (only opened 4 months as of Dec 2015). If we are ever back in Samui, we will return here. Conclusion: If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Chaweng, look no further

I booked 2 days and ended up staying for 5 in early April. The rooms are big with balconies, I was upstairs. Good wifi and right on the beach. The place is really quiet given that is right in Chaweng. The beach chairs are nice and the staff is friendly. It's inexpensive and pretty basic but they do give you free water, shampoo, body wash and coffee in the room. It's all I needed. The bed was fine but they don't change your sheets, just make up the bed. Not a big deal for me but for some maybe it is. The A/C worked well but I have to say since it's a beach bungalow, I did get a lot of mosquito bites! If you are on a budget and want a place on the beach with access to bars, stay here. I think the best part is walking down the beach at night to all the bars and eating on the beach. Swimming is ok, just shallow water.

The Chaweng Beach Hotel is a no frills hotel and is a good spot if you are looking for something clean and cheap in Samui. There is no pool and no restaurant. A small breakfast offered, but I went for brekkie at the cafe down the road instead. The staff was really nice and they spoke English well enough that there was no confusion when checking in/out or when I had questions. The room was big and clean, a bit out dated but for the price totally acceptable. Internet is an extra cost and worked well, it's not the greatest but it's certainly not terrible either. They have a security guard at night as do most of the hotels in in the area. There is a taxi stand right outside of the hotel if you need a ride somewhere or back to the airport. The only thing that I found slightly odd was payment with credit card. I ended up booking another 2 nights there and payed directly to the hotel. They made it seem like the credit card machine was not working, but it was as I insisted on paying by credit card. If they ask you to pay cash, or go to the cash machine across the street.. don't. The machine works. I assume they prefer cash rather than paying the credit card fees. Overall, a great experience!

Hotel very good . Room was very comfortable , cozy , bed was very comfortable, has small balcony ( dry swimming suits ) Have good lobby with sofas and 2 computers , flowers etc. Reseption girls speak very well in English , they were very kind and helpful . Hotel has sensor lift . Room , lobby always Fresh and good smell .Breakfast buffet was also good ( juice , fruits 2 types Jam , breads , tea , coffe , milk , corn , flakes etc.Few minutes walk to the best bitch in Samui island . Close to Family market , 7/11 , Tesco. Near so many restaurant and shops( where can eat cheap food) . Hotel located in center Chaweng everything close . Room cleaning did everyday , bed sheet and towel changed everyday . Inside room everyday 2 Botle water . Hot water for tea 24 hours in dining room . We took for first time for one day but then liked so much then continuo living they are for 6 days . I recommend this hotel , I will back this hotel again .

Maybe the outside ihasnot alot of atmosphere but the room is great. The shower is big/fabulous and can get Very very hot. Separate toilet. The bed kingsize very good not hard...the other bed ( single) also good. So you have an kingbed and a singlebed at the room. Lots of towels all kind of sizes, even there are 2 large towels for the poobeds or beach ( Blue Lagoon ). I went to the Blue Lagoon beach.....you can buy food and drinks by the beachventers in the middle of Blue Lagoon and The Amari, good price of cours. TV great very very large size... lost of channels all internation some Thai channels to. The Wifi is pretty fast for Thailand. The reception good ...need them only for check in and out. I am very familiar at Samui. Restaurant Sala Thai around the corner surprises me and your next door of Prego famous Italian restaurant at Koh Samui. You can walk to the center, bars and shoppingmall ( Central Festival ). Iff u come for the room, pool, location and price its great

Stayed at bhundhari for 2 days after checking out from another hotel. Had a beach front private pool villa which was outstanding. Very well maintained by the staff. Memories worth remwmbering from the time we got the pick up from another hotel to bhundhari. Location: At chaweng.. Not even 5mins drive to the main chaweng area. Big Buddha is also 5 mins drive from the resort but in other direction from chaweng main street. A perfect place for relaxing as well as partying. Facilities: Services at its finest. The pick up to the hotel and to the airport. The staff is very helful always with a smiling face. The resort is spread along 2 sides of the main road. If u r staying in rooms close to the beach then they always have a golf cart ready in 2 3 mins. The beach restraunt is nice along with the common pool with good music playing around throughout the day. The private pool is accesible from the room itself. And the beat part is the lightings. The view is mesmirising at night as well during the day. The lights in the pool allows to have agood swim during night hours as well. Bathroom is huge with a jacuzzi facing the pool and the beach. The sun beds are also comfortable enough besides the private pool. Had an awesome experience. A big thanks to Mr.Babu who was very friendly and attended to all our needs. You just think of something and Mr.Babu has the answer to it. From the time we checked in till we checked out throughout our stay he made sure that we had a comfortable stay. Hotel can arrange the car or bike if you want to drive along. Food: Buffet breakfast was perfect with a vast variety. Also the lunch dinner and snacks were good. Room service avilable also you can enjoy the food next to the beach. Conclusion: A perfect resort. Will definetly recommend bhundhari to anybody visiting koh samui.

i stayed at a 4 and 5 star resort on the same holiday in samui. although boutique resorts are great , to look at the op bungalow i think i will stay there next time.. you still get great service, everything is cheaper. no taxis to get to and from anywhere. the rooms ( bungalows) are great,.. bungalows are better than any high rise wih a spa. as long as you dont need room service and free breakfast, i did my homework and think this is the best choice !! . i went during quiet time and reckon it is better than peak season.. thanks guys.

We booked here for 3 nights and ended up staying 6 more nights paid through the hotel. Small hotel with spacious bungalow style rooms with lots of light and nicely gardened areas around rooms. Rooms sit off the road so nice and quiet at night. Pool was nice with shade and sun options for lounging and a few tabled areas for sitting and eating. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Laundry by the kilo available onsite. Hotel also has some long stay options with microwave and dining area plus 2 awesome villa style rooms with living room areas and small private pools. Onsite parking area also. The only negatives we would say were some areas had spotty or weak Wi-Fi and only limited TV channels but we rarely used anyway. Some areas of the property are in need of updating or repair but this can be expected of almost any smaller hotel in Thailand. None of these things affected our stay and did not include any of the daily use areas of the property. Especially considering this was on the lower end of the prices for hotel with a pool it was a spectacular bargain and we will happily stay again

For tailor, go to Moda Milan International Suits and see Rooney (nicest guy you'll meet). The shop is around five minutes walk towards Chaweng shopping precinct (Burger King etc.) on the left hand side of the road. Down that same side street, you will find internet cafe (1BHT/min) who are also able to do tour bookings - see Chicken (English translation for his real name!). Be sure to book yourself onto the Jungle Safari - though attempt to bargain them down. Originally 1,700BHT, I got for 1,500BHT and a mate was able to bargain another agent down to 1,100BHT! At the end of this side road is the Ark Bar - best eatery in Samui-a must try. Also, nearby on the other side of the road you will find Martin's Place - small, friendly & tasty eatery with Italian and Thai cuisine. The people of Samui rock! If you can be in Samui for the Full Moon Party, do it. But hit Koh Phangnan for the party itself. Bus/speedboat transfers between Samui and Koh Phangnan are easily arranged at around 600 Baht.
