"Located up a small hill, surrended by tea plantation and betel nut tree made us feel like tropical area :) They upgraded us to a LOFT design room with simple but cozy renovation which is impressive. There's a wooden sauna box (heard this is the only one in the hotel) in bathroom that was really a big surprise, it worked well with chinese herbal poweder provided by hotel. I personally love his very much. Hope they can extend this facility to all other rooms. The dinner (additiional charged at 600 NTD/pax) was AMAZING, fresh ingredients prepard in a bit fusion way and displayed like an art piece really spiced up our appetite ! Should try it when you stay his hotel. Breakfast was all home-made stuff incl bread, soy bean milk, purple rice milk, roasted potato and seasoned fruits, supplied you enough energy to start day activity. There is a small function room with table-tennis; a small badminton court as well as a basket-ball frame to stretch a bit after 1.5 hour drive from Taipei. You can also walk around the hill-top. Generally the surprised us...chill-out in an isolated area, super quiet environment for you to forget outside buzzling city and sleep well, staffs (owner is a matured couple that also live here, their son helps them out sometimes during peak seasons) are caring & reachable enough to take care of you. Oh, btw, credit card is not preferred there, bring enough cash. "

As the locals eat early 5-6pm, it's not fun if you missed this dinning hours or failed to pre-arrange the meals. Many eateries down the mountains & even the minsu wl not entertain you. "That is a nice hotel if you wanna spend some time out of the big city beehive. Rooms are pretty large and very clean. Staff is friendly, however not all them speak english well. There were 2 of us and we payed around 133 USD for one night during the weekend, what is quite pricy for Taiwan’s countryside, but it’s worth it. The breakfast is taiwanese style, which is fine with me, but my girlfriend don’t like oily stuff, so she only had toasts with jam, but the tea was really nice and high quality, coffee also not bad. Also, it would be not easy to get there by public transport, thus, I would recommend to rent a car first. If you have a car, then it’s very convenient to go to Taiping Mountain from there which is amazing."
