"Update to previous review...imho at around 1700 baht is the best of the 4 star options...if u want cheaper 3 star and below you can find good hh options and if money is no object stay at the Hilton for 4500+ baht. If 4 star is your comfort range then this is your spot. (that is Asian 4 star...in USA this is a 3 maybe 3.5 star hotel but everything is +1 star in asia)"

"I truly miss hua hin. It's basically a slow pace city. You may expect lots of Thai tourist and travelers age 35 and above or family w kids. My stay at G hua hin was nice. Small boutique hotel rather than resort. It's not by the beach though its a walking distance across the street. Clean n big rooms. The best room was on 1st level. Deluxe pool view w a plunge pool at the balcony w jacuzzi. Fit for 2 n nice just to sit in n relax. The pool area is nice n water is warm n clean. Small but enough to do laps if not too crowded. There is a supermarket within the building, a pharmacy, a beauty salon n waxing salon. Superb service although its more expansive than out on the streets. Opp the hotel there is also few massage parlor to choose from. I tried si-am spa massage which was good. If you wld like to rent a bike, there is a rental shop too. only 200 bath per day. driving is easy n safe there. Get a map frm front desk n just follow. Out of the street to your left, there is also street food if you don't mind n more massage parlor. Hotel is near to market village mall n grand market which open at night- walkable. To the big night market, I use the 10 baht service which pass the hotel every half hr. tell the security guard you are waiting for it n they will flag down for u. It's fast n safe. There, the usual shopping n all the seafood joins that u can choose frm. Also local food if you wish. Shopping are usual Thai souvenirs n stuff. If you are tired of Thai food n want something western, go to ye old buffalo restraunt. Food is not bad. Goggle or ask concierge for directions. Another place to eat is hey hua hin. Fantastic Thai food n romantic place too. Difficult to find so must take a taxi. Internet in the hotel is provided but slow n u need to log in all the time! But enough to keep in touch w your loved ones and surf a little. Staff very friendly and will assist you as much as they can. Hotel also near to bus station frm BKK airport by coach. Takes 4 hrs total. Tks G H.H"

"Spent two nights here with my family. Totally, it was a really pleasant stay begin with the reasonable price and friendly staff. The cleanliness of the room and common area is just great. However, you might need personal car to get here as the hotel is located about 500m away from main road, but still walkable."

"Ee stayed 3 nights. Booked "seaview" room, but there is a very small portion of the sea you can see from that location. On top of that the rooms facing the sea are also facing a big construction site that it's noisy in the morning. So, don't waste the money for sea view as the other side of the building is much better and very quiet. Good thing the rooms ate very clean and comfortable, the hotel is very clean, the staff is nice, the location is ok, walking distance to the beach, 7/11 just around the corner and few local thai restaurants as well. "What a delightful hotel. Peaceful and serene, the hotel is very laid back and allows you to choose your pace. As with many hotels, the lobby/reception area and rooms are lovely. I chose this hotel because it was away from the congestion of the tourist area, and because it had a swimming pool. I was happily surprised to find also a table tennis (ping pong) table and a small chipping (golf)course. We played every day. The breakfasts (you can choose either Thai or American) were very nice, and served in a very peaceful garden setting with koi ponds. The pool is well maintained, and there is a small library and (free) internet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I don't often choose to return to the same hotel, opting for a change; but in this case I would. "

" La Or Resort, Hua Inn Located in a central position off a side road so surprisingly quiet. Staff pleasant and helpful although their understanding of English was limited.  The rooms are all single story in blocks of two, dotted around the central pool. All rooms have veranda with table and chairs. Rooms clean and comfortable with fridge, hair dryer, TV, air con and fan. Pool and garden really nice and pool a god send in the heat and humidity.  They have motorbikes for hire which was good. They do not offer breakfast and there is no kettle, cups, tea or coffee in the room. However dont dismay because in the mornings at reception they provide bread for toast, jam, marmalade, doughnuty things, boiled water and tea/coffee which was a nice surprise. Water, tea and coffee are available all day. Bars and restaurants in walking distance however we chose to eat at the large outdoor beer garden where you can get just about anything you fancy from Thai, Indian, Italian etc and very cheap, beers were less than in the supermarkets you even get to listen to live acts on stage. Walked to the beach once and was disappointed, not very clean, lots of jelly fish. You have to walk a long way to get back off the beach as there are no gaps between the large hotel groups and they won't let you walk through their grounds. This can cause aproblem as the tide comes in quick and high potentially cutting off your exit. Another reason to use the pool at La Or.  All in all a very pleasant place to stay. "
