"OZO is a great property on great beach in Samui. It's not going to wow you with excellent design or excellent food, but it does what it does very well. We booked at the OZO because it was centrally located in the shopping area and on the beach, plus it's just a 10 minute taxi to the airport. We only did one night, but we could have easily done 3 or 4. The rooms are very modern, which is cool but I would generally prefer something a bit more Thai. OZO could be a hotel on any beach anywhere in the world, nothing about this place says "I'm in Thailand." But it is very clean, very safe. They do a good job taking care of this property, it's a great place to relax. The pool is maybe one of the best in the area. It's massive, very stylish and has a lot of people frollicking about. The beach at OZO is really outstanding. The sand on Samui is even softer than the sand on Tao and Phangan, even softer than the sand at Koh Phi Phi. Ozo has lots of beach chairs about, it would be an excellent place to grab a book and a Singha and straight post up for the entire day. The location nearby is great. Tons of restaurants and places to shop. We really recommend this place!"

"We stayed at few different 4 stars resorts on Chaweng beach ( including Amari) during our stay at Koh Samui, the KC was the BEST hotel with the best cleanest beach and pleasant water from all of them. Knowing that we had 1 year old baby, hotel staff offered us a professional baby crib with the cozy baby bedding ( not a terrible play pan with the baby and one piece of bedding like in Amari). Hotel stuff was amazing, especially Palm from reception - he went above and beyond to make all our wishes to come true and feel very welcomed at KC resort. The breakfast buffet had good variety and compare to Amari, was refilled in time. The best part that every other even more expensive resort was lack of : the best clean private beach in front of the KC with the clean water without any seaweed and without any poisones sea Urchines ( compare to much more expensive Amari where you could not even swim due to the terrible water full of seaweed and warnings of dangerous sea urchines). "I was thoroughly impressed, ive stayed at many of the top hotels around the world, and most of the good hotels in Koh Samui, and this keeps me coming back time after time. Its a smaller boutique hotel, but don't let that fool you, the have all you need from standard deluxe room to a more swishy duplex. Breakfast was reasonable, offering the standard fares, but particularly of interest to long-stay guests, they change several dishes to give variety. Location is still on the main beach strip, but at the other end, i never found it a problem and i stayed 2 weeks. transport around the area is plentyful. Facilities are better than the 4 stars i gave, as i didn't want to set the wrong impression it has a gym etc. but it has beach access, pool, massage salas, tanning lounges etc. The thing that sets this ahead is the staff, they are amazing, professional, always genuinely friendly, ever so helpful and considerate. A Winner in my books, is when the make your stay better ;-)"

"OK everyone my friend and I spent 5 nights here starting 6th March and it is a fantastic place, so much so that our other 2 friends who decided to book into a 4.5 star place up the beach spent more time at Baan Samui than at their own hotel. I think the people that have in the past given this place a bad review need to realise that this is a 3.5 star hotel, not the Ritz. Upon arrival the staff were friendly and more than willing to help, it was nice to be greeted with a smile. When being walked to our room you could tell straight away that the facilities such as the foyer, gardens and stairways, balconies etc were all well kept and clean. Our room was lovely, exactly what I expected. I was also glad to note that the beds were comfortable and not too hard. According to the reviews of many hotels hard beds seem to be quite prevalent in Thailand. Everything in our room worked well and continued to do so for the duration of our stay. The pool is nice without being spectacular, with a great location only 20 metres from the beach.. The only problem is that the wood around the pool needs to be painted or stained again and the nails hammered back in properly as the wood was starting to raise in some places. The bar and restuarant are again well set up and sit right next to the pool in a great position. For my mate and I the best feature of the hotel is the large lounge chairs/ day beds that sit between the pool and the beach, adjacent to the bar. These seats are a fantastic place to while away the hours, particularly if you can get one of the one that is shaded by the large tree next to the bar. "

"Really nice hotel. Book, you won't regret it. My only complaint was that my bathroom plug hole was blocked with the last guest's hair. Be advised that the street view room is about 2m from live power cables, if that kind of thing bothers you. Friendly staff, nice restaurant downstairs. Location is very, very close to the beach. Cocktails opposite at the Lipsmacker bar are great and pretty cheap, especially at happy hour. Highly recommended."

"Stayed in many hotels in Koh samui and this one is by far the best among the 3 star hotels. Comfortable bed, very clean room, and an amazing roof bar. 23$ for a double room is a great deal.. Unluckily, the hotel was booked out and I had to stay in other hotels of the same price category, not even comparable with Cheeky Monkey.. So highly recomended. "

"Stayed here during low season and got the room for under 30 bucks. Booked their cheapest room (Superior Studio) which is actually in another building, much older but got a free upgrade to the deluxe studio room. If you are staying here during low season they close the old building and upgrade everyone to the newer building. So save yourself some money and book their cheapest room. The bed is comfortable, nice large flat screen TV in the room with a decent channel line-up (something for almost everyone), strong aircon, small balcony for having a cig but no furniture. Decent bathroom with daily toiletries provided and two bottles of water. The swimming pool is huge and a bunch of loungers around the pool. The major downside is their is no free WIFI in the room and you have to go to the lobby for free WIFI. Fortunately we are on the second floor and are picking up the signal in our room which is very sweet. You can purchase a WIFI card at the front desk for an outrageous amount of baht if you want too but it is a real rip off...WIFI should be like oxygen...Free. Great location near Chaweng Beach, less than 10 minutes to the beach and you can cut through the Centara Grand Hotel or walk another short block and access the beach down a sandy lane, less than 5 minutes to 7-11. The hotel is off the main street and is very quiet. I would definitely stay here again as the room represents pretty good value given the free upgrade. Best price is on Agoda, their walkup and internet rates are laughable at best. "

"Family of three (couple and 9-year old boy) stayed at hotel for 2 nights Jan 20-22 2020   Super great location. Located at center point of Chaweng beach, the hotel has two buildings, one right along the beach and another 50 meters from the beach, separated by a road leading to Central Festival (10 min walk) shopping mall. There are lot of restaurants and enough convenience stores around the hotel.   Well maintained facility. Though a little old and old fashion, the hotel is clean and well-maintained. The hotel has two swimming pool, one beside the building on the beach, busy, another on the roof top of the building away from the beach, always empty.     Spacious room. The room I booked is Deluxe Lake Wing located in the building away from the beach. The room has two standard bed (1.5meter wide) and a mini coach happens to be long enough to be my son’s bed. The air-con works perfect and hot water in the show room is strong. The only pity for the room is that the storage space in shower room is very limited.   Friendly staff. From the moment of check-in to the moment of check-out, the hotel staff are friendly and professional. There is an uncle acts as traffic police when hotel guest want to move between two buildings by crossing the road. Lovely.   Buffet breakfast. Offered in the garden of the building on the beach, the breakfast is simple, the menu is repetitive but good enough for daily nutrition. It covers both Western and Asian style by offering 3-4 bakery/coffee/tee/salad/cheese/fruit/milk/juice/sausage/bacon/roasted tomato/roosted potato/scramble egg/omelette/cereal and fried rice/fried noodle/stir fried vege, taste is not great but fully acceptable. Breakfast is included in the room and is THB 275 if paid separately. If you do not like what is offered at the breakfast, you can spend the same money in Tops Market, a very morden supermarket in Central Festival, to get variety of bakery and others. Nice beach but not swimmable. The sand on beach is very nic"
