"Cliff Beach is a wonderful resort, it's honestly the best choice for Kai Bae Beach in comparison to others. Kai Bae is only about a mile and a half long and Cliff Beach offers the only accessible sandy beach with no rocks. I was looking into the Awa and White Knot, their beach is terrible, but they offer great views. Our room was great, we had poolside view and ocean view when on the balcony, access to wifi in the room, and breakfast was included and was pretty decent. The resort offers an array of ocean rental activities from boat rides, snorkeling, to kayaking. Cliff Beach does cater to the Russians, they pretty much over took the hotel, were nice and respectful, however word on the street is that Cliff Beach is the only hotel that will accept them. Unfortunately Koh Chang itself really caters to tourist, you won't get a lot of authentic Thai culture, however it is a beautiful place, great parks, waterfalls, and sandy beaches, if you choose the right hotel:) "

"excellent stay, value for money - although an initial hitch - the floor of the first room assigned was very wet with aircond condensation and request for a change in room was quickly attended to. Very nice hotel that is as good as (and even better than) the famous Chill next door and very reasonable price too - wished had stayed for more nights than one, but will stay here again next visit to Ko Chang, highly recommended. very nice wide beach front and very nice long swimming pool for a good decent swim. Sea facing Rooms from second floor and above provide excellent sea views especially during sunset. The beachfront layout has lots of potential to be a party hangout bar and bistro (similar to the Kudeta in Bali) if they can create a small pool also at the beach (there is enough space for another small pool). "

"Sea View is the best hotel in Koh Chang… i did a bit of traveling around the island and that is my feedback Location is one of the best points… it is next to the view point where everyone goes to take the best photos …the great thing is you see this view all the time!! The hotel is a good size but it still seem very personal and beautiful, staff are great and zoo helpful and the hotel grounds are very well designed ( even if you need to take a cable car to breakfast… thats something quite unique and the view at breakfast are amazing ) Food is ok, internet is ok on the beach and at the lobby… not in the room as yet…the town of Kai Bai is nice and less commercialized than other places … "

"I stayed in a bungalow on the hillside. The room was an older unit but I felt it was a good value for the price. I came to this place because I wanted peace & quiet. I found it for sure. The AC in the room was very cool, the shower while not super hot was warm enough. The TV not so good, but I never watch Thai TV anyway. The internet was always working and good signal, both in room or outside the room. Also WiFi at the cafe was great. The cafe offers a simple menu of good food at a great price. The premium coffee was delicious. I wanted to charter a private boat to tour the near by islands and the manager took care of everything. Had the boat waiting in the lagoon in the morning as planned. Ko Chang is an amazing place and Siam Bay is part of it. Located away from town, the girl at the desk was always able to get me a taxi within 10-15 minutes or less. I really did love my stay here and I am sure to return. I felt as if I was among old friends. It is a 3 star resort, but I give five stars for friendliness and peace & quiet. Beautiful sunsets and clean water & beach."

"KB Resort’s location is absolutely amazing, that alone was worth the price. The bungalows are slightly dated but still spacious and comfortable. Most other guests are families or older folk, but that was perfect for me as I wasn’t looking for a rowdy trip. Restaurant’s food is quite high quality (I only ate Thai food, however, why eat anything else while you’re here?) and you get an amazing view while dining. The grounds are clean and quiet, and the garden is tranquil while walking to the beach—which only takes all of 30 seconds. The staff was willing to help and provided great service, although at times at the restaurant they did not seem super enthused and bubbly as you might get in America, so please don’t hold that against them because at the end of the day they did a fantastic job, and you can tell they work very hard. If ever, and hopefully sooner rather than later, I return to Koh Chang, I will absolutely be staying with KB Resort again. "

"We stayed at The Chill for 5 nights in February, over Chinese New Year. The resort is a small, modern boutique hotel. We booked a deluxe room through Agoda, and we were upgraded to a Jacuzzi Suite! The room was fantastic - clean, spacious, and modern. The bed was very comfortable and there was a large couch for our 3 year old son to sleep on. The breakfast in the morning is the best hotel breakfast I've ever had; there was an egg and bacon station, fruit, pastries, sandwich makings, and a full coffee bar...and that's only the breakfast side. The other half is a full lunch spread from their sit down menu. Everything is absolutely delicious - and a good mix of Western and Asian food too. The infinity pool is great and there are plenty of beds and chairs. The only downside is the beach. It is very small which was okay for my family. If you want long stretches of white sand you'll need to go to a different part of Ko Chang. Overall this is a fantastic hotel and travel destination. It is a beautiful property and the staff took great care of us ( including our 3 year old). I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will hopefully go back someday!"

"We enjoyed our stay tremendously. We don't really like big flashy hotels, rather simple places in nice locations. If you like to be near great exciting night life Kai Bae is not the best place on Koh Chang for you, it is a great place to relax and chill out. All the staff treat you as one of the family and it is certainly a resort that lives up to Thailand's claim to be "The Land of Smiles". We are looking for an opportunity to visit again. This was my second visit and I was surprised to find building work being carried out but the complted areas indicate that the resort will be beautifully improved when the tasteful work is complete."

"Hotel was in nice location . First night after long bus ride we were tired . About 7 pm they started karaoke in the restaurant. Wife went up , they said normally they don't have karaoke and it would stop at 11 . They moved us to another room away from the noise . Next morning they came and told us we had to move back to the other room or charge us more than double . We moved back . Wasn't that big of a deal , we booked 10 nights stayed 7 and left for another island . Breakfast was good days they had many quests , changed everyday . Staff friendly and helpful . Pool very clean . If I were going back to Ko Chang I d stay there again . For the price it was ok .."
