Hotels near Nagkalit-Kalit Falls

This is the best hotel if you want perfect sunset views right from your room’s balcony. No need to go to crowded sunset bars. Though it is located near Maremegmeg beach, accessible via a kind of secret stairway through lush greenery. We loved the vibe of Maremegmeg (chill people watching and food and drinks on mats on the sand) and apparently it’s one of the nicer swimming beaches of El Nido. (Just watch out for jellyfish, which was stated in the El Nido 101 guide in every room) Our private island-hopping boat also picked us up from this beach on both days so we didn’t need to go the docking beach. Beware though as it is a climb back to the hotel. Must be 100 steps to go back up the main road from the beach and another 100 going up to the hotel rooms. That’s the price you pay for the amazing view! We traveled with a 2 year old but he was fine re stairs! When we were there in February, they were constructing a gate on the higher level of the hilltop, so vehicles could come in and guests don’t have to take the stairs up to their room but instead down. I suppose they will move or have a second reception area up there, near the restaurant. Since we would be tired from whole day beaching, we would end up having dinner at the hotel but the food is not that great for the price. You’re better off going into town and exploring local fare. The rooms are spacious but a little bit dated. But beds were clean and pillows comfy! Bathroom was also on the dark side. We could advise bigger frosted windows to let natural light in. But again, the best part is the balcony! Make sure to book the rooms with sea views. I also hope they move toward becoming an eco friendly sustainable hotel. But also appreciate the free water refilling station by the hotel lobby so I just refill my jug, no need for plastic water bottles. All in all, I’d give it 4/5 stars. :)

For this price range, it's one of the best hotels I've booked. The room was clean with comfortable beds and a nice, sleek bathroom. All of the staff was really friendly and helpful. When you come to the rooftop restaurant, you'll be rewarded with amazing views of the landscape. Lunch was great and the fruit shakes were refreshing and flavorful without being overly sweet. I'll definitely consider staying at Cuna again in the future if I bring my family to El Nido.

Suites by Eco Hotel was the perfect place to stay in El Nido, close to the town and to a lot of good bars and restaurant, but far enough from the craziness of the road. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the staff is very attentive and nice and the breakfast, especially the local one, is delicious. The tours to Bacuit Bay start straight from the beach in front of the hotel, which is also a great spot for the evenings and nights if you want to chill with a beer watching the stars.

The concerns we have is the location of this hotel, it is in the busy intersection that you can hear a lot of motorcycles and cars almost 24 hours a day. It is very difficult to fall asleep especially with a child. The doors and walls seem to be not soundproof or something that you can hear everything outside the room. We can hear too the housekeepers talking loud in the hallway. The restaurant, staff, pool with great view and the room details are good.

We had one of our best stays at pukka beach in Palawan. The hotels funky decor is charming. Staff are super nice and accommodating. Especially Josephine the front desk manager. It’s a great place to unwind after a long day of touring. The owner has dogs in case anyone has allergy to pets. Outpost hostel is right beside the hotel which is more party place. Next to that is panorama hotel and lounge. We enjoyed our time there as it has good music drinks and food. I loved the fact I can go and enjoy my time at theses places and come back to our quite hotel to sleep. We stayed in the Bob Marley room and slept with our curtains open as we love looking at the water and the moon night. This room has a private balcony where you can put your clothes to dry which is such a bonus for travellers. Every room is different. But we enjoyed our room very much. We definitely recommend pukka beach. Although the walk down the steep steps from the main road is not fun with the luggage but if you call them they will send someone up to help you bring your luggage down. Access is from the beach. Not from the road. Also, pop district was really cool which was 10 min walk on the beach for more food options, yoga, massage and booking tours at ape tours. If you want to skip taking the tuk tuk to town. I enjoyed staying in that area oppose to going to town for everything.

I enjoyed my stay and would come back. Casa Kalaw is one of the hotels in the new Lio Estate. The hotel is new, with clean and modern/coastal furnishing. The front desk and restaurant staff were helpful and courteous. I really liked the Lio estate as a whole. Nice clean beach, with several restaurants & bars to choose from (I liked Shaka). Enough to do aside from laying on the beach (SUP, kayaking). Best part is that it is not crowded. This may change as the place becomes more popular. You can book island-hopping tours through Le Swift (near the hotel, just ask the front desk). They’ll pick you up from the hotel. The hotel pool is nice, though I didn’t really use it since the beach is just 2 minutes away. The breakfast buffet and resto food is 👍. The only thing I didn’t like was that my room faced the walkway so I kept the curtains drawn. There is wifi in the room and around the hotel, and cellular reception is clear (if you cannot completely disconnect). Overall, I recommend staying here. Definitely much better than the accommodations in town. Not as exclusive but more affordable and convenient than staying at one of the island resorts (Lagen, Miniloc, etc), since it’s just 5 mins ride from the Lio airport (free shuttle if you are staying in one of the Lio resorts). The are also hourly shuttles to town (free) so you are not really isolated.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff were amazing. Kim helped us with everything from booking our transfers to booking our tours and making sure that we had everything we need. The rooms are all in excellent condition. It is a new hotel and everything was pristine. The towels smelled good and someone came in to clean our rooms everyday. The toilet even had a bathtub and was spotless. Best value for money!!!! The staff are really commendable for their great service, the rooms are clean and tidy plus they have a common kitchen where you can cook. The market is only 7minutes away by foot. so convenient! Will definitely return to this hotel!

The hotel was spot on, this is one of the few hotels that you actually get WiFi and it works good. Was able to FaceTime home and scroll through social media no problem. The staff were really helpful and were always smiling. We didn’t use the pool much because we were on the tours but it seemed pretty good for the time we were in it. The location is perfect, slightly out of the way from the noise at night but not too far that you have to get a tricycle everywhere. 2 minute walk max. The only downside to this hotel if I was being really picky is the breakfast, although it’s free it was very poor. The choices were minimal, the food wasn’t very good and mostly it was cold. The omelette was probably the best thing because it was cooked how you liked but even that wasn’t great. I’d recommend going elsewhere for breakfast even thought it was free. Don’t let that put you off though because we had an amazing time in elnido and the hotel just topped it off. I would recommend this !!!

The hotel is located a road away from the center of town, and very close to the beach. Eateries were in walking distance, corner shops a stone’s throw away. Main road was about a minute walk and the beach 2 minutes. The room was very comfortable. We were 3 adults and an infant and the hotel could easily accommodate the third person on arrival. The bed slept amazing! Cushions were soft and puffy. Only minor issue was that we were on the 4th floor of the hotel, and there’s no elevator. So trekking up and down was a mission - but not impossible. The room has an Aircon which worked wonders, and a ceiling fan which also helped. Room does not have a kettle (but can request one) and no fridge. TV was there with some decent channels. Bring a USB with films if you’re into watching movies late night. There are water coolers on each floor!! (Hot and cold filtered water). Lifesaver!! WiFi at the hotel was pretty good most of the time. Our last day the whole island has an internet issue though. We used SIM cards as backups anyway. Breakfast was basic - filled a gap with some fried eggs and toast. Was happy with that. We could very easily access our day trips... ‘Harbor’ was a 5min walk from the hotel. Only time we needed a tricycle was to and from the airport and once to Las Cabanas. The hotel has a backup generator, but was never needed during our stay. Some construction of other buildings and roads around the hotel, but nothing impacting our stay. Would definitely return to this hotel. The owner was present during our stay. Very hands on and interactive. So much staff around too

The room and bathroom are very clean by all standard. There was a nice modern room. The floor were clean with no dust or sand. I was really careful not to bring sand into their unit as I felt bad about how clean they really kept the place. Very good sunset view. One of the best It is on a quite part of Corong-Corong beach. 50 pesos to get into town. Hotel helped arrange for all 3rd party tour, kept a running tab, and I paid them at check out. If you want decent price but nice and clean accommodation, go here. Only negative comment I had was that the breakfast portion is very small. They can improve on that. Note that one side of the property is going through some renovation, but they are doing that during day time and I was always out and about so it didn't impact me.

Pros: - Good breakfast buffet (the selection wasn't that varied but it was adequate and everything was tasty!) -Communication with hotel was good (The transfer from and to Puerto Princesa and to Island hopping was very easy) -Room (Very nice shower and the interior was cute) -Beach (Lio Beach is really a nice place to chill and sunbathe!!!! Super relaxing ambiance. Water isn't as nice as the other beaches you'll go to during your island hop but it's not bad) -Eco friendly hotel and resort Cons: -Room (beds were a bit uncomfy for some reason. I think it's the mattress, but the pillows were great. During our last day, the aircon wasn't working well anymore) Overall, would recommend and would stay in Lio again. Might try other hotels in Lio estate but for the price and location, wouldn't mind staying in Hotel Covo again.

Good location, meters away from the beach and accessible to any transportation. Had a comfortable stay with nice and friendly staff suggesting where the best place to go. The room was clean and the reception lobby is wide and spacious to hang out while waiting. The water filter system is great, clean water....The rate just affordable and reasonable, sure to come back and stay the next time I visit El Nido.

We stayed here from November 18 - November 22, 2013. What a fantastic location for the price which features a newer building, modern air conditioning and non-interrupted electricity powered by its own generator when the town suffers a brown out! It's situated a mere 2 minute walk from the beach where all island tours depart from in the morning. It was a mind blowing experience to be able to do the walk and hear the ocean waves & quickly touch white sand beach & warm water at 8pm at night! Wow! In the morning there is a very popular bakery that I love next door which features awesome baked goods. Enjoy a worry free vacation by arranging all your tours directly with the hotel staff. If you are participating in island tours ask about the required environmental fee that everyone is required to pay for valid for days during your stay. Upon our departure, we were waiting for our shuttle pick up at the hotel lobby when Dianne informed us that cars & trucks are not allowed inside the city. She quickly arranged for a tricycle to take us to the public market & bus station. The friendly and trustworthy staff will transform itself and act as a concierge to assist you regarding tours, town activities, scooter rentals and even confirming return trips to Puerto Princessa with the independently owned transport companies. Comparing other hotels within the price range I paid for, this hotel is a much better value. Sure it may lack television , strong water pressure, wifi in guest rooms but this is El NIDO! I guarantee you will only stay in your room to sleep in the evening and quickly fall asleep due to the many wonderful activities such as snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, hiking to water falls. Stay in Casa Cecilia, be rest assured and have peace of mind that Dianne and the staff are there to ensure your needs are taken cared of. Even the quiet owner too.

Great thing about Garnet is that it is on the Main Street in El Nido where all the restaurants are. Luckily the street that it is on is closed from 5:30pm - 5:30am, so you're able to walk around in the evenings and enjoy without having to worry about Traffic. First look, you may think it's a subpar hotel but it really is a clean hotel with great location. You will always see one of the ladies sweeping away at all th sand tracked in by the tourists. Right next door, you have IBR that is open 24/7 for your hungry appetite especially if you have to wake up early for diving (2 dive shops across) ! Not the best food, but it is open for your early mornings before your dive. Garnet was actually our 2nd choice hotel. We wanted to stay at spin hostel for 4 nights, but since we couldn't stay for all 4 we did 2 nights at Garnet and 2 at spin. We regretted spin immediately and wanted to move back to Garnet, but couldn't because we prepaid. Would highly recommend! Perfect location.

The hotel was fairly brand new. The room looked better, bigger, and cleaner than the pictures. They should get a better photographer. The price was cheap and very reasonable. Their staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel's front is the jumping point for island tours and a few meters away from dining areas. They also have a viewing deck cum restaurant for you to see El Nido Bay. The hotel in general is waaay better compared to other pricier hotels at the beach front. Best of all, their staff were very honest. They found a gold ring we mistakenly left in their vault. They were able to return it to someone we knew in the town. We will definitely return to this hotel and we recommend it to our friends.

This hotel is tucked about a 15 minute walk away from El Nido. Pro's: it's near the bus station, it's relatively quiet, rooms are a decent size. Con's: Toilet didn't flush & sink didn't work properly in the first room we were given, hotel is currently under reno on top level. We didn't hear any noise from it but it could be an issue when they are working. Breakfast is brought to room and not bad for SE Asia standards (rice, protein, fruit). Coffee and tea available downstairs throughout the day. One of us got extremely sick and the female staff were extremely helpful throughout the experience. Really loved seeing them. They were bright and cheerful every time we walked through. The male staff not so much. First off, Wifi in Palawan isn't great what so ever. The fact that they offer wifi is great (and we definitely used it when needed) but it is extremely slow. It also doesn't pick up that well in rooms so for the best connection you'll need to walk into the hallway.

I booked this hotel for 1 night and end up staying 5 nights there :) Hotel is located just at the beginning of Corong Corong beach with a short walk to the beach and some 20min walk to the town centre. I stayed in a single room for a very reasonable price in already expensive El Nido. Room was very clean with hot water and good water preasure in shower. Owner of the hotel is Italian Antonio and manager is French Ben so they know what an average europian backpacker needs. They create a possitive familly atmosfere in the common area used for breakfast (delicious and included) and drinks at the evening. There is a power plant just 100 meters far from the hotel, but it is not a big deal. Your room fan makes probably the equal noise. And yes sometime the wi-fi is not stable and there may be insect on the garden, but come on, you are in Philippines and there is jungle around El Nido. That is why Palawan is so beautiful. Giving easily 10 stars.

We had a fantastic time in El Nido and we owe credit to Janet the friendly proprietor of this hotel. She happily helped us with everything. Rentals, tours, vans, tips. She's also just a sweet lady you'll fall in love with. It was nice just to come home to her and chat about all the events of the day. The hotel is located between the town of El Nido and Las Cabanas resort on Corong Corong where you can witness the most stunning sunsets. The town is accessible by trike at any time for 50 pesos (approx. 1 USD) The rooms are clean, air conditioned and serviced daily. There is a farmacia right across the street in case you've forgotten anything at home and a restaurant next door called Boodle Fight that has a decent breakfast and massage. The wifi wasn't strong in the room, but we found it worked fine if you have the door open, or clear as day if you sit in the lounge. I've seen other reviews that complain about the neighbours dogs or roosters, but those people must have not left the hotel. If they had they would have realized that there are stray dogs and wild chickens everywhere and I don't imagine any hotel in town would be any different. Don't let that put you off your stay in Palawan, the dogs are quite tame and usually friendly. We all felt that this hotel was the perfect choice, best location, and best value in town.

Cost-effective hotel。With a family of five people, the room is huge compared with other hotels in the same price range。The waiter is very good，I forgot to book it for two days ，but the waiter helped reserve it. Thank you very much ，and hot showers（Many hotels in EI Nido don't have hot water）The beach is across from the hotel，there is also paid laundry service。I will book this hotel next time。

The staff was great. They allowed us to use the shower room of the room we booked since we just came from the island tour and we are already past our check out time. They have a hot and cold shower which is great. They have a complimentary breakfast which will keep you going for the upcoming tours. A ride away from the beach front for the tours. Hoping to come back again here!

The hosts - frenchmen; welcoming and friendly, slightly bohemian type. The reserved room was occupied because of double booking. This didn't became a problem for staff, we was placed on these days in another hotel above the class and get a bonus - twice free lunches. Before the trip we had planned to dine at different popular El Nido restaurants  - "Squidos", "Corner",..., but every time special menu from chef La Salangane was so delicious, that we couldn't to go to the other restaurants ever:). Of course, even the best room of La Salangane - the room in front of the beach - this is not a luxury, but you will never regret choosing it for the rest. The tastefully decorated room, a terrace above the sea, breaking waves underfoot and restaurant at night with torches in the wind - these memories will stay with you forever.

I highly recommend this place, Ingrid treated us like family and not a guest. She was so nice and her husband. Palawan has lots of building construction, but Ingrid place is so quiet although their house is a lil bit far I don't mind taking the tricycle. Ingrid has a family member Centeno resort that's talking shit about them and when you call certain no.on their website they will encourage you to cancel your booking with Ingrid and book on Centeno resort. They will tell you that Ingrid hotel no longer exists. They are full of shit!!

I was extremely hesitant to book this hotel since there were no reviews about it. Still I thought why not give it a try since they were offering something so reasonable...so we checked in...no hassle, the villa that we got for 2,500 pesos was unbelievably clean and spacious, it is located in corong corong which is really far from the city center (in a good way)...peaceful, with magnificent scenery from the veranda of the villa that was given to us, very accessible to the center and to the "swimming" area. I'd say that this "inn" is far better than the previous hotels that I checked in before here in El Nido. The owners of the hotel were very accomodating and flexible. Since dining out in El Nido is the ONLY option that you have since most of the hotel owners are not as accomodating as Ms. Rose who with very short notice agreed to cook out bought "fish" for dinner. The kids did enjoy our 2 nights stay in this "inn"...I wonder if they can change it into something else. The villa that we got is extremely well maintained so no mosquitoes and no bed bugs...I highly recommend it to those want to get the value for their money. Price was definitely the plus factor 2,500 for 7 people with breakfast! Unbelievable cheap!!!! Will definitely come back to Columbus Inn.

PROS Room is clean and air conditioned / Staff (Owner) is amazing .. she was probably the main reason we extended after finding the location a little difficult Breakfast (omelette and coffee) Scooters are available (old and worn - you will understand why when you see the roads haha) THEY ARE IN THE PROCESS OF REPAIRING THE POOL SO WAS UNAVAILABLE UNFORTUNATELY - THE OWNER DID TELL ME IT WOULD BE FINISHED AROUND THE MIDDLE OF 2019 (THEY ARE ALSO BUILDING A RESTAURANT AND GAMES ROOM) - So a lot of good things to come I feel CONS I was aware from reviews that this place was a little "out of the way" however, understand that this hotel is located deep in a village off the main road and the tracks leading to the hotel are very poor (deep holes/dust/loose gravel and sand) so ensure you are comfortable with this kind of terrain on a scooter or get your walking shoes out and a flashlight as there is no light what so ever. All in all.. I would recommend and I would stay again
