"Can't find any disadvantages considering the almost best location on Chaweng and the relatively low cost. Best breakfast in my whole life. The lovely man at the door helped with the luggage and refused my tip (yeah you got it) and the reception girl tried for all morning to book the tickets for our Nanyuan trip. You won't regret for staying in this hotel."

"We had a very good stay at the hotel, it is 3 minutes walking from the main street with all the action. The standard room looked really nice and clean. It was also very big. The swimming pool was pretty amazing too with a view over the sea and the city. The pool is really big around (25x10) meter. At the reception you can ask for free towels to borrow which is very easy. A big tip to the reception: please take new pictures! It looks way to good to show it like this. :)"

"Pros - new, very clean rooms and bathrooms - great location in the middle of Chaweng - nice swimming pool and lovely beach - great if you are looking to party with a group of friends - hotel manager ( a lovely girl )reception staff and cleaners very helpfull and friendly Cons - very loud in the evenings - people are partying in the rooms and hotel staff doesnt do anything about it so if you are looking for some quiet time you will not find it there - restaurant staff speaks very little english so its a challange to order anything - lots of mistakes due to language barrier - don’t get breakfast there if you are not looking to eat noodles and chinese food for breakfast - plenty better places around serving also european breakfast - if you are traveling with young kids DO NOT book this hotel - they will not be able to sleep during the night - hotel full of people from China and Israel so if you are looking for more european place and relax you wont find it there"

"we had an amazing stay here indeed! it was my 13th time in samui and trust me, i know a bit about its accommodation and dining! and i can say that in this island it's either excellent and pricy (le meridien), or cheap and average... this hotel is located right at the best part of sandy chaweng beach close to all of my favorite places such as ark bar, the coffee club, kao san restaurant, tops supermarket, solo bar, etc. i traveled with my mom who normally is not into parties and loud music, however she loved the hotel, especially concerning the fact that our standard room was generously upgraded to the superior one for us, which had everything you need, was neat and very close to the beach and beautiful pool. unlike standard though, which was near the road. breakfast was quite impressive for a 3,5* hotel as well as the service! i'd definitely recommend this hotel to my friend and will use it for my next stay!"

"I am glad i chose Cosi for a few first nights in Samui. The location is a dream right next to big shopping Mall and main street where you just step out to the left and everything are there:foods/bars/shops/massages/entertainment...you name it.. Also Cosi is not too far from the tourist spots like Big Buddha Temple/Wat Plai Laem/the Jungle Club.. Overall Pro: location/very nice staffs/price are totally affordable/nice clean room.. Con: I stayed on floor 1 (downstairs from the reception) and i can hear the live music from the night market quite clear, like you have a neighbor singing karaoke upstairs till midnight. So if you are not a person with noise please ask for room on top or so. Also my bathroom have a bit of sewer smell came out once a while even though its very new and clean. There are no telephone in the room so if you need anything you can’t just call from your room. But overall I highly recommend Cosi for your first Samui trip if you like to be at the center of everything with affordable pricing and a cosi clean room (sewer smell need to go) and very Nice Staffs. Thanks Cosi. "

"Myself and a friend stayed here for 4 nights, and we would've stayed longer if we could. Al's resort is a lovely hotel made up of lots of modern bungalow/Villa rooms and has two pools, one of which looks right out to the sea with its infinity feature. The location was ideal for us as we liked having the pool and the beach to alternate between. There were plenty of loungers by the beach, we never had to bathe on the sand, although the pool was usually busy. I'm not sure the hotel could fit many more loungers in by the infinity pool but if they could it would be a bonus! We ate only beach snacks from the hotel such as satay, spring rolls and chips but they were all delicious and the drinks were reasonably priced. The stretch of beach where the hotel is on, is lovely white sand and not too busy. Obviously we went in low season though (July) so it could be busier at peak times. The location is brilliant in terms of restaurants and bars too. Just a short stroll along the beach and you can dine in any of the neighbouring hotel beachside restaurants if you fancied a change from Al's. walking through the hotel to the road side, there were numerous restaurants all lining the streets prividing plenty of choice. For a meal and one drink you are looking to pay about 150 baht (Thai food) to around 300 baht (western). This is cheap compared to Bangkok. There are some very local Thai restaurants selling street type food for 30-40 baht too if you hunt them out. Usually they are the ones with a huge line of travellers outside queuing to get in! :) The room was lovely - deluxe courtyard- the bathroom was great and the air con worked very well. There are beach towels available from the beach bar too. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chaweng beach and if I return to Samui, I will definitely stay here again. "

"For tailor, go to Moda Milan International Suits and see Rooney (nicest guy you'll meet). The shop is around five minutes walk towards Chaweng shopping precinct (Burger King etc.) on the left hand side of the road. Down that same side street, you will find internet cafe (1BHT/min) who are also able to do tour bookings - see Chicken (English translation for his real name!). Be sure to book yourself onto the Jungle Safari - though attempt to bargain them down. Originally 1,700BHT, I got for 1,500BHT and a mate was able to bargain another agent down to 1,100BHT! At the end of this side road is the Ark Bar - best eatery in Samui-a must try. Also, nearby on the other side of the road you will find Martin's Place - small, friendly & tasty eatery with Italian and Thai cuisine. The people of Samui rock! If you can be in Samui for the Full Moon Party, do it. But hit Koh Phangnan for the party itself. Bus/speedboat transfers between Samui and Koh Phangnan are easily arranged at around 600 Baht."

"An easy place to stay for a few nights. The location was perfect. I stayed in the Island Resort before this and was deeply disappointed by many things. This place did exactly as promised on pagoda. It's a low class, budget hotel with many perks. The wifi was excellent (enough to stream movies if you wanted) the pool was sufficient, the room was clean enough with shower, air on, TV. And, as I said, the location is absolutely perfect - beach 5 minutes, Main Street 2 minutes. Enjoy. "
