"This place was great. The staff are friendly and understand English well. They will pick you you and drop you off from the airport for free (only about 5 minutes drive). There is a restaurant on-site which serves good food. There is also an outdoor pool and hot tub. Be warned: most of the hotels in Palawan advertise WiFi, and they do have it, but it is not consistent. It regularly disconnects and/or operates very slowly. Do not expect to use WiFi regularly on your trip. This resort is within walking distance of much of Puerto's hotels, restaurants, and bars near the airport. You may schedule island-hopping and Underground River tours with the resort, tricycle drivers, or other agencies. The unit was fine. I had a Standard room, which has a bed, a side table, a desk, a mini-fridge (with refreshments for an additional charge), a TV, a wardrobe, a bathroom with running water, and a heated shower. It was clean and fine for a solo traveler or couple. "

"Extremely comfortable stay made possible by friendly staff who helped us book our tours around Palawan. The rooms are delightfully bright and minimalistic; with the right combination of simplicity and comfort. The pool is nice and relaxing; good to read a book there. In general, the hotel was very breezy, and helped increase its laid back charm. Food at the restaurant (painted table) was also good. We had the breakfast included but felt that it could have more variety for visitors would usually stay a few days to explore Puerto Princesa. It's also brand new hotel, so there might be some teething problems such as the wifi. But they might be able to help you out if you ask."

"The hotel is very near the airport but the management will still bring you by car, free of charge, thereat. This is a good thing. The staff are very accommodating and will go out of their way to meet your needs. The room we stayed at is also clean. I booked a standard room and I find that the toilet is a little bit small, but there is hot water shower, so I am fine with it. Ipil Suites is named from a native Philippine hardwood tree-Ipil, which is abundant in Palawan. The staircases and other furniture of Ipil Suites are made of ipil wood, hence, its name. The wood makes Ipil Suites homey. I am partial to hotels with hardwoods as I grew up in an old house with big planks of wood flooring. Ipil Suites is not located along the main road, but it's a stone throw away. There are restaurants and native craft stores along its vicinity. I will recommend Ipil Suites for comfort and ease of transport to and from the airport and other tourist attractions. "

"A little hard to spot on the main road, next to the Giligans restaurant, look out for the orange sign. Friendly welcome, room is large and clean, the bed is very comfy. Agree quite noisy from the bars but it can be slept through, close to the airport, clean and a good price still make it a good place to stay. "
