Hotels near Puerto Princesa City Baywalk Park

We love the location of this hotel. It was in the heart of Puerto Princesa city, right smack in the middle of Rizal avenue where you can walk up and down the street to go to famous food spots and bars. Only bad thing about being close to bars is the loud music until 2am. I guess we were just so tired at night after all our tours that we fell asleep despite the noise and loud music. Make sure to request for a room at the back of the hotel.

I had a marvelous time at Microtel in Puerto Princesa. I liked the property because while it is the only hotel relatively close to the city that has access to the beach & the ocean. True that because of the low tide, the beach (with mangroves on the side) becomes a long stretch to walk before you get to the sea. But it was nonetheless a great view! The water usually reaches the edge (closest to the hotel) at nighttime. Water retreats again at daytime. The property is also close enough to the city center (with free shuttle services for the guests - the drivers are very efficient. Guests are also given their contact numbers just in case you need to give them any additional information. Guests may also request a particular pick up or drop off point in the city). I liked the room with 2 queen beds! The beds were very, very comfortable. The AC was working perfectly well! And the bathroom was not bad. The staff are generally friendly and nice. The pool was a good place to get a tan & there are a good number of lounge chairs. The restaurant is open until 9pm & they have grills for dinner. Free coffee, tea, water and wifi at the lobby. And there are enough couches, chairs & tables for everybody. The hotel was full when we went there but it didn't feel like it because perhaps the guests had different itineraries, and only a controlled number of guests are left using the facilities at any given time. The other guests are also generally friendly. The hotel sells postcards (P5 more expensive than in the city), but the hotel can also mail the postcards for you for a fee of P25 per postcard (on top of the postcard's cost). I found the housekeeping staff nicest, followed by restaurant & front desk on the second spot. The front desk clerks are very pretty and they seem to know each guest's room & requests. Security guards are very visible as well. Best of all, I loved the fact that the hotel is very, very peaceful, both daytime & nighttime, away from the busy city center.

Since I checked-in very late (around past-11 PM), I asked to have late check-out at 2PM and the staff approved my request with no additional charge (you will notice that other properties in Puerto Princesa will be inconsiderate and will strictly implement their late check out policy with additional charge even when you checked-in very late). Thank you for being very considerate, Grande Vista Hotel! As always, room was clean, food was great and staff are very accommodating. Wifi connection improves a lot. Keep up the great job!

My partner and I traveled from Manila to Coron to El Nido to Puerto Princesa, which we means we stayed at three different hotels while in Palawan. The first two hotels we stayed at weren't terrible but I can confidently say that the Best Western Ivywall in Puerto Princesa was definitely BEST hotel we stayed at in Palawan. The staff were incredibly friendly, willing to fix any error that happened during our stay (we had a few, but nothing that would bring down their score) and always with a smiling face. My partner and I enjoyed their scrumptious breakfast buffet (that had different items each time) and on our last night, we went to the Balayong restaurant, which they had given a 600 PHP voucher for. It was quite empty but the entertainment was very enjoyable - both the dancers and the live band. The food was good but small portions for quite a high price for the Philippines. The hotel itself was gorgeous, always air conditioned, smelled good and comfy to just spend the day in. 10/10!

We are very satisfied with the hotel's services, very far from the airport, from the bus station very close, but they have a free shuttle van, you can imagine every time you step out of the airport holding a sign the person you meet is a very moving thing . Opposite is the largest mall in Puerto Princesa Robinson, shopping and dining very convenient. The hotel rooms are large, adequate facilities, but the bathroom is not a good decoration, food will certainly attract a lot of ants. Finally, I want to focus on introducing the pool, very, very five-star feeling. I left the next day on the recommendation of a friend booked a room.

I really enjoyed this place. Staffs are kind and friendly. I mean everyone; not only receptionist but also room keeping staffs, restaurant staffs, guards, travel agency staffs, other staffs too. Some people commented foods are bit pricy but I found the foods are big serving and very tasty. So it is reasonable. I went other restaurant outside. Sometimes foods are already cold or not hot. But this hotel serves just greatly freshly cooked hot tasty meal. You will not regret in this place. Since Puerto Princesa city is tourist oriented city, I understand everywhere you go there, foods are little bit higher than chain store restaurant. But I am sure you will be satisfied with the great taste and big serving. Only small cons might be far from city centre. But I loved walking and tricycle ride. And If you are worried, good to bring mosquito mat (electrical hot mat kit). Coil is not good because accidental fire and ashy smell. I can recommend here everyone. You feel cozy at home. Enjoy!

This hotel seems to have been recently renovated, or maybe even just built. It is very clean, with large rooms, and a great bathroom, with amazing showers. I have stayed here several times and would advise asking for a bayview room with a balcony. The Baywalk is just steps away. Whenever I stayed here I booked with breakfast included. Good decision!! The breakfast buffet is sooo good, in a large room with an all glass wall facing the bay. The restaurant staff were wonderful. Excellent hotel, I will always choose this when I stay in Puerto Princesa. Would be great for honeymooners.

We were in Puerto Princesa during the worst possible weather with 2 tropical storms within the week. Nevertheless, we felt absolutely comfortable and safe in the hotel. The staff were well-trained, the rooms were well-furnished and comfy, and the best part was when parts of town had no electricity, ours kept going despite several blackouts (we were sleeping anyway so no issue). The aircon kept going and it honestly didn't feel like there was a storm raging outside. Kudos to the wonderful restaurant staff who kept us fed, caffeinated and happy every morning. Special mention to May, a staff from the breakfast service during our stay. She was so pleasant and smiley, even taking time to greet us by our names. It was definitely a wonderful stay, and I would recommend Canvas to anybody who wants to visit Puerto Princesa.

This hotel made our 2 nights stay in Puerto Princesa a wonderful one. From the welcome drinks, welcome note in the room, complimentary coffee, well-chosen decorations to the sweet staff who really are very helpful. The room is spacious, well lighted and comes with a dresser, a coffee bar, a full-length mirror and a big tv, among0 others. The pool is also nice and clean and I like that there's a tree shade. The hotel really allowed us to relax after tours. The hotel's in-house restaurant also serves goodtasting food. We had pizza and pasta and they were delicious and in hefty servings too. The breakfast buffet is also good. I'll surely be back next time I fly to Puerto Princesa. ^_^

the hotel centro is one of the higher-end, more expensive hotels in puerto princesa city proper, but you do get what you paid for. the rooms are clean and spacious enough (for two people - we made the mistake of getting a room for three, it turned out to be far too crowded), and since the hotel's fairly new, the furnishings (bathroom included) were in excellent order. the breakfast was also quite good, a sizable buffet spread with the main dishes varying every morning. the hotel features a well-sized pool and a gym. i used neither, but they seemed to be in good condition.

We stayed here during our trip to Puerto Princesa. Upon arriving at the airport, we were greeted by our shuttle driver, who took us to the hotel. Upon check-in we were greeted by very friendly staff, who advised that our room had been upgraded to the Superior Double. Unfortunately we received a room with 2 Single Beds and were lucky enough to squeeze into the one bed so we could sleep next to each other. Also our room had a small bar fridge in our room, which didn't seem to work. The swimming pool was good and staff were on hand to provide towels. The daily buffet breakfast menu was different each day which was great. The hotel is located only a short walk or if lazy a trike into Puerto Princesa or the Robinson Mall. It looks like they are building a new Terminal at the airport, which is on opposite side of the current one, which will make this hotel even more accessible from the airport

the hotel is nice, clean, rooms are spacious, staff is very friendly and helpful, ready to accommodate guests' requests whenever possible. hotel's location is very central, much better than other hotels in puerto princesa with just 5 mins walk to main city artery, rizal avenue. for a fee, hotel can organize various trips across the island. airport shuttle van is free of charge. hotel provides 24 hour electric supply (a kind of luxury in p.princesa)by own generator. swimming pool is small but sufficient, breakfast could be little improved since it is usual continental or american style. wireless internet is always available although in some rooms the signal is too weak. if you are used to shangrila facility and service, better look for other hotel, but everybody who is looking for tranquil, family hotel...highly recommended. will certainly return when in p. princesa.

Nice breakfast though not enough menu variety. Morning coffee taste great.Well maintained swimming pool water. Air around the swimming pool area is not polluted. Very accommodating and hospitable staff. Close to the airport. Shopping centres are 10 - 15 minute travel time via tricycle. Overall above average value for money for a place to stay while in Puerto Princesa.

It's a very beautiful place to stay in Puerto Princesa. The courtyard is lovely. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location wise - very closed to the airport. I was very happy that they picked me up from the airport (complimentary, I provided by flight details when I booked). I was too lazy to walk to the town center, so I took the "tricycle" (5 minutes to the town). I stayed here for 2 nights. For all tours I booked, the driver had no problem finding this place to pick me up and drop me off.

My stay in this hotel was quite unplanned as i had just come from El Nido and needed a place to stay overnight before my flight back home. I was searching accdg to location (near the airport) and found this place. I didn't book at first and went to the hotel w/o a booking. So instead of booking direct with them, they let me use Agoda. Told them i wanted the points. It's a small quite place very near the airport and most of downtown Puerto Princesa so the location was very much a plus. They give you breakfast (plated) with not much choices but again because of the price then it's quite a good deal. The room is quite clean and pretty big. They have a small TV with good cable choices so that's fine too. Airconditioning works fine. No hot water but then that's ok for the price. The place may be old but if it's kept clean then that should not be a problem. All in all a good deal.

We had to end our trip a little unexpected in Puerto Princesa due to some problems in San Vincente. And this hotel was perfect for that! A big room with very comfortable beds. Very good shower and the warm water worked perfectly. Very clean and they changed towels, bedding and everything every day! The service and staff was very nice and helpful. Our friend that traveled with us had to stay only two nights in Puerto Princesa and even though we arrived very late it was no problem for him to stay in our room for 2 night so they were helpful. Also good location, close to everything and very close to airport! Great stay!

I knew I made the right choice when I booked with Marianne Hotel for my first ever solo travel. Since I am a bit anxious about my safety, I chose to have all the conveniences I could get and they did not disappoint me. From my online query up to my check out at the hotel, they have assisted me. Judy answered all my queries and has been really helpful. The staff at the hotel were courteous, friendly and nice. My safety was my primary concern and I didn't have to worry about it. I had a few personal needs that I didn't get but they weren't a big deal (like availability of meds, and wake up call - but I thought those were just extra miles they could provide their guests). The hotel was really nice and peaceful. If I will go back to Puerto Princesa, I would choose them again but I will make sure to bring my sister and my friends with me so it'll be more fun. Pool was available for use 24/7 which was just wonderful. You can swim just before going to bed. The buffet breakfast was great too it can keep you satisfied until your next meal. The hotel dont replace soap, shampoo, water and dental kit on a daily basis unlike other hotels but you can request for this so this wont be a problem. Huge beds. Coffee/Tea making facilities is not available. You can request for the water heater pot and just buy 3-in-1 sachets. Great service too. Staff are courteous. They come at your door within minutes if you need anything. One of the best in Puerto Princesa. Some tricycle drivers tend to overcharge if they know you stay at Asturias.

Enjoyed our stay at Ipil Suites Puerto Princesa which is nicely located in town off the main road near the airport, nice restaurants, and a few massage and spa places. Must check out Kalui restaurant for lunch or dinner!!! Front desk can make reservation for guests. You can comfortably walk to restaurant in ten mins or take a tricycle. We were told by staff that hotel about 6 years old, but it looks nicely maintained. We booked into a standard room with a double bed. Room was small and bathroom a bit cramped, but it was clean and comfortable. Hotel offers free buffet breakfast (served on the 4th floor) with good selections, also offers free WiFi, but were told that WiFi weak in guest rooms, better in Reception area. There is a nice pool, gym with a few exercise equipment, and a restaurant, all in the main level. We booked the Underground River Cruise through Ipil Suites and had a very early pick up of 630am, which was tight because their free buffet breakfast starts at 6am and hotel couldn't grant our late check out request. However, they were so nice to have our luggage stored and organised for us to be able to use a room to shower when we returned from the tour so we can be fresh and clean for our evening flight. We also came back earlier than expected from the tour, so we visited Venus Health Spa down the road to kill time. PPS airport only 3 minutes away, so we only wished the hotel had an airport shuttle available at least 7-7:30pm for those with late flight departures. Although airport shuttle is free, it is only available at specific times with only 6 trips scheduled through the day, the last one being 6pm. Unfortunately, PPS airport does not offer much, apart from seats and very few overpriced shops and it would have been good if we could have used those hours waiting at the airport to have an early dinner at some restaurant nearby before heading to the airport. I've traveled a fair amount, and I think that Paboreal may be my favorite place I've stayed, ever! As another review I read mentioned, it's an oasis of tranquility in the chaos of Puerto Princesa. I read quite a few reviews before choosing Paboreal, doing so mainly because so many people exclaimed about how helpful and gracious the staff are. I was not in the last bit disappointed! The owners went out of their way to introduce themselves and mentioned that their goal when deciding to open the hotel was to create a place where travelers would feel at home. They certainly achieved that goal! Their attention to detail is superb, proving that their ultimate desire is to run a traveler's paradise, rather than being in it just to make money. They were always ready to chat and give us advice on things to do and see in the area. They even gave our daughters small gifts when we left! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome, including small glasses of guava juice. Whenever we decided to use the beautiful pool, someone would immediately come out to set up the chairs and umbrellas for us. Then, they would bring out a tall, cold carafe of filtered water (complimentary), cups and pool towels. Any time we passed any of the hotel staff or the owners on the grounds, they always greeted us with a friendly hello and a smile. There was also complimentary bottled water in the rooms, something I haven't seen in other places I've stayed. As much as I love SE Asia, the heat and grime can be exhausting. Coming back to Paboreal after a day out and about felt like heaven! The whole hotel, including the rooms and pool, are immaculate, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. Being on a side street felt like a blessing, and was never a problem because while off the main drag, the hotel is still close to everything (including the airport) and the front desk staff were happy to call a tricycle to pick us up to take us anywhere we'd like to go. I really enjoyed my stay with Casañas Suites. I didn’t expect much since I paid less amount of money than in most hotels but I’m pleasantly surprise with the place. From checking in to checking out, everything went without a glitch. They even gave a glass of juice upon arriving which I appreciated because of the heat. Location-wise, it’s situated near the city so going in and out was easy. The staff made sure that I had a comfortable stay. They made me feel welcome and safe which is a plus point in my book. Another thing that I like about the place is that they have a generator in case there were power interruptions. Overall, it’s a great place to stay and I’m surely going back! This hotel was perfect for a stopover in Puerto Princesa, centrally located to take advantage of the city sights on a short stay. A short walk from the Immaculate Conception Cathedral & Baywalk Park settled amidst the lively city buzz... Plenty of places to eat nearby & a short tricycle ride to the airport. Would highly recommend this hotel as it was clean, spacious & has a fabulous roof top cafe from which you get great views of the city...

Very close to the airport, accessible to restaurants of all price ranges, clubs, massage places. A kilometer away to the west (easy walk or 10 peso tricycle ride) is downtown for even more choices, and city sights if you wish to do your own tour like the Palawan Museum, Puerto Princesa cathedral, city park, the Plaza Cuartel and the Baywalk. Accessibility and practicality are good selling points of this hotel especially if traveling solo where it offers smaller rooms that are comfortable and without pretense.
