Stayed for 2 nights- did the 1/2 day city tour the day we arrived and the Puerto Princesa Underground River Tour the next day. Complimentary transfers to and from the airport which is located approx 10-15 mins from Hotel. Complimentary Breakfast every morning, great variety of selections to choose from! The hotel is clean, modern and service is superb! Our arrival to hotel was delayed, the hotel were very flexible with our transfers and even took it upon themselves to contact our tour guides of our delay. The hotel is right next door to Robinsons Mall, about 2 mins walk! Very convenient! Loved our stay, will return again!

Fantastic... this was a great value, and I can't imagine how much better you could really do in Puerto Princesa. Super close to the airport, walking distance from the best bar, and the best restaurant in the city. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and modern if basic. It's not staying at the J.W. Marriot but let's face it, if you require that kind of hotel you really have no business to be in Puerto Princesa anyway.

I had a marvelous time at Microtel in Puerto Princesa. I liked the property because while it is the only hotel relatively close to the city that has access to the beach & the ocean. True that because of the low tide, the beach (with mangroves on the side) becomes a long stretch to walk before you get to the sea. But it was nonetheless a great view! The water usually reaches the edge (closest to the hotel) at nighttime. Water retreats again at daytime. The property is also close enough to the city center (with free shuttle services for the guests - the drivers are very efficient. Guests are also given their contact numbers just in case you need to give them any additional information. Guests may also request a particular pick up or drop off point in the city). I liked the room with 2 queen beds! The beds were very, very comfortable. The AC was working perfectly well! And the bathroom was not bad. The staff are generally friendly and nice. The pool was a good place to get a tan & there are a good number of lounge chairs. The restaurant is open until 9pm & they have grills for dinner. Free coffee, tea, water and wifi at the lobby. And there are enough couches, chairs & tables for everybody. The hotel was full when we went there but it didn't feel like it because perhaps the guests had different itineraries, and only a controlled number of guests are left using the facilities at any given time. The other guests are also generally friendly. The hotel sells postcards (P5 more expensive than in the city), but the hotel can also mail the postcards for you for a fee of P25 per postcard (on top of the postcard's cost). I found the housekeeping staff nicest, followed by restaurant & front desk on the second spot. The front desk clerks are very pretty and they seem to know each guest's room & requests. Security guards are very visible as well. Best of all, I loved the fact that the hotel is very, very peaceful, both daytime & nighttime, away from the busy city center.

Since I checked-in very late (around past-11 PM), I asked to have late check-out at 2PM and the staff approved my request with no additional charge (you will notice that other properties in Puerto Princesa will be inconsiderate and will strictly implement their late check out policy with additional charge even when you checked-in very late). Thank you for being very considerate, Grande Vista Hotel! As always, room was clean, food was great and staff are very accommodating. Wifi connection improves a lot. Keep up the great job!

Our first time in Palawan and Puerto Princesa. We were out to see the underground river and decided to stay a day in the capital. The reason why I chose Best Western Ivy Wall was the closeness to the airport, and I learned from a former business colleague that Best Western has very good standard in its hotels. I just grabbed a good price and an upgrade and it's all worth the money I paid. The staff were also very helpful in finding us a taxi when we had to make a visit at my sister's house. Restaurant was very good with enough items in the menu to choose from. All I can say is, my husband and I had an excellent experience at Ivy Wall and giving the hotel my rating of 5/5.

I won't think twice of staying in Holiday Suites if we decide to visit Puerto Princesa again. + The staffs were very friendly. From the marketing staff I have exchanged emails with regarding our reservation, to the driver who picked us up at the airport, to the check in staffs and even the restaurant crew. They were all attentive to the guests needs and were well trained. + The room was spacious and comfortable to move around. + The food was superb especially their version of danggit - "lamayo." The presentation was also A+! It would have been better if there are more choices on the breakfast menu and if they offer lunch and dinner as well. There are things that they have to improve on though... - The spa area was strategically designed near the pool area. However it does not have any fan/aircon which makes it so humid. - We were guaranteed that the underground river tour will only be until 1400hrs and so we will be back at the hotel around 1500hrs. Just on time for our flight back to MNL at 1850hrs. At 1400hrs, we were still waiting for our turn at the underground river tour. The travel agency's driver had to rush back to the hotel so we won't miss our flight. The roads were steep. Not to mention, we were not the only couple in the van. We were with a family with 2 children, 2 ladies and 3 other arabs. They all had to go through the same inconvenience. (Im not sure though if it's Holiday Suites' fault or the travel agency) One thing I've learned was not to schedule any tour on your last day in Puerto Princesa. It is advisable that you allot your whole day for any tour.

Good value for money, they were happy to assist with changing rooms to a king bed for my partner and I. The hot water trickeled out not much pressure but didn't mind since we were only there for a couple of nights. Great variety for the breakfast buffet. We came to Palawan to go see Puerto Princesa underground river. I wouldn't rate the underground river but the the entertainment and fun we had visiting Palawan and the nightlife was a great experience.

At first I don't expect a lot from the hotel since its entrance is within a walkway in a residential area but when you get inside, it was so big and spacious. We have the Queen Size bedroom which is near the pool and mini bar. The room is big for both of us especially the wash room. The fan and the aircon are both working and I love the fact that there's a fridge in our room. However, the channels on their TV are limited since the signal reception is really bad. The plus of this hotel are their staff. From driver, guards, cook and staff, they are very accommodating and courteous. They will greet you when your paths crossed and apologize if they were not able to assist you due to the ongoing events in the mini bar (there's a lot of people when we were there). As for their food, I recommend you eat here because their food are all worth it (very delicious) and the serving is plentiful, especially pasta dishes. Their receptionists are all very helpful and kind since we cannot extend our stay due to the number of guests and people that will soon come, they offer us to leave our things on their place and come back to pick it up after our city tour. Also, their pickup time to transport you from and to airport are all on time. Their driver is also very polite. If in any chance that we will come back in Puerto Princesa, we will definitely go back here because their service is very satisfactory. PS: - We commend their lady receptionist whom I forgot to ask her name - Kuya Pat their cook - Their guards from morning and evening shift - The cook that serves our breakfast We leave some tips on these guys as they deserve it :)

We were in Puerto Princesa during the worst possible weather with 2 tropical storms within the week. Nevertheless, we felt absolutely comfortable and safe in the hotel. The staff were well-trained, the rooms were well-furnished and comfy, and the best part was when parts of town had no electricity, ours kept going despite several blackouts (we were sleeping anyway so no issue). The aircon kept going and it honestly didn't feel like there was a storm raging outside. Kudos to the wonderful restaurant staff who kept us fed, caffeinated and happy every morning. Special mention to May, a staff from the breakfast service during our stay. She was so pleasant and smiley, even taking time to greet us by our names. It was definitely a wonderful stay, and I would recommend Canvas to anybody who wants to visit Puerto Princesa.

This hotel made our 2 nights stay in Puerto Princesa a wonderful one. From the welcome drinks, welcome note in the room, complimentary coffee, well-chosen decorations to the sweet staff who really are very helpful. The room is spacious, well lighted and comes with a dresser, a coffee bar, a full-length mirror and a big tv, among0 others. The pool is also nice and clean and I like that there's a tree shade. The hotel really allowed us to relax after tours. The hotel's in-house restaurant also serves goodtasting food. We had pizza and pasta and they were delicious and in hefty servings too. The breakfast buffet is also good. I'll surely be back next time I fly to Puerto Princesa. ^_^

Upon arriving at Puerto Princesa I was a bit worried because I did not inform the hotel about our flight details and I did not request for an airport pick-up, however,I was surprised because the hotel van waited for us outside and even had our name in his list.John John Lim, the driver was so nice and accommodating and made us feel safe and comfortable of the place even if it was our first time in Puerto Princesa. The thing that I liked the most is the hotel's efficient, warm, outstanding and world-class services. They made us feel relaxed and comfortable as if we were staying in our own home. Thanks to John John Lim, Faizal and the Boholano boy at the COncierge. The room is just enough for us as we were only two in the room. The bathroom amenities are also good. Breakfast is good but needs plenty of choices. I love the hotel interior and the pool. All in all, I would stay there again if I have future trips to Puerto Princesa, as for me, this is the best hotel Puerto Princesa could offer.

I had a good time in this place, better than what I expected, hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly, their free breakfast was good, modern rooms with nice decorations with solid concrete walls, free wifi that sometimes worked in rooms, easy check out and free 20 minutes ride to airport, hotel located about 5 minute tricycle ride to shopping mall and downtown puerto princesa, and on the main road going to tours like underground river, i will definitely stay here again, much better choice than other hotels that cost the same or more, thank you Palawan Uno for giving me and my family a great stay....:)))

Hotel is near airport, restaurants and shops. Room is big. We have been here in Jan 2007 doing the city tour and island hopping. I like Puerto Princesa for being clean and safe. The beaches are clean with white sand and very pristine. When the underground river became a "wonder of the world" I wanted to come back to see it. The hotel staff are very polite and friendly, picked us up from the airport, and carried our luggage. They confirmed our underground river tour and reminded us of pick-up time. The hotel is close to shops where we bought basic necessities and also to restaurants. Going to other places is quick with cheap tricycle fares. In going home, staff carried our luggage and dropped us at the airport. It was an enjoyable and memorable holiday. Thank you to hotel staff.

the hotel is in a very good location right in the heart of the city of puerto princesa. it's a business hotel, but family with young or even older children can enjoy their facility since they have a pool. we had a pleasant stay. they serve a good buffet breakfast, lunch, merienda (afternoon snack), and dinner. their breakfast and afternoon snack are much cheaper. there are several places to visit like the now famous puerto princesa underground river (voted as one of the new seven wonders of nature), honda bay island hopping tour, crocodile farm tour, mitra ranch wherein you can have zipline adventure, and other outdoor activities. thank you agoda for giving us opportunity to get good hotels at reasonable prices.

It was our first trip to Puerto Princesa. We stopped by the city to see the underground river before heading to El Nido. There was a miscommunication and the staff failed to reserve us tour to see the caves. Fortunately they were still able to get us the tour on that same day. Kudos to the staff for going the extra mile to make sure that the problem was fixed. The hotel is beautifully designed with big modern rooms and a really nice pool. The breakfast is buffet style :) Although it's one of the more expensive hotel around, I think we got our money's worth.

This hotel was by far one of the best hotel we stayed in during our whole philippines stay! The staff was so friendly, the rooms were massive and it was very tidy, the breakfast was a buffet and it was filled with many choices! I definitely recommend this hotel, it was like a 5* hotel but on a budget. The location is also very close to SM and restaurants just a 5 min walk away. We had such a lovely stay we even cancelled our hotel for when we came back in Puerto Princesa from El Nido just to be able to stay here for another night!

It's a very beautiful place to stay in Puerto Princesa. The courtyard is lovely. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location wise - very closed to the airport. I was very happy that they picked me up from the airport (complimentary, I provided by flight details when I booked). I was too lazy to walk to the town center, so I took the "tricycle" (5 minutes to the town). I stayed here for 2 nights. For all tours I booked, the driver had no problem finding this place to pick me up and drop me off.

I stayed in Palawan Village hotel last July 20-21 to celebrate my birthday in Puerto Princesa. I loved the trees in the middle of the hotel although it's kinda dark. The staffs were very accommodating, the complimentary breakfast was ok. Although the internet was fast, it could only be accessed in the lobby but I didn't mind because it's a budget hotel. The room where I stayed had a sofa, lampshade and a Bible so I was able to read some verses after I woke up and for me that was great. I really had good time in Puerto Princesa and this hotel as well. Will book again if ever I need to come here again.

We had to end our trip a little unexpected in Puerto Princesa due to some problems in San Vincente. And this hotel was perfect for that! A big room with very comfortable beds. Very good shower and the warm water worked perfectly. Very clean and they changed towels, bedding and everything every day! The service and staff was very nice and helpful. Our friend that traveled with us had to stay only two nights in Puerto Princesa and even though we arrived very late it was no problem for him to stay in our room for 2 night so they were helpful. Also good location, close to everything and very close to airport! Great stay!

I knew I made the right choice when I booked with Marianne Hotel for my first ever solo travel. Since I am a bit anxious about my safety, I chose to have all the conveniences I could get and they did not disappoint me. From my online query up to my check out at the hotel, they have assisted me. Judy answered all my queries and has been really helpful. The staff at the hotel were courteous, friendly and nice. My safety was my primary concern and I didn't have to worry about it. I had a few personal needs that I didn't get but they weren't a big deal (like availability of meds, and wake up call - but I thought those were just extra miles they could provide their guests). The hotel was really nice and peaceful. If I will go back to Puerto Princesa, I would choose them again but I will make sure to bring my sister and my friends with me so it'll be more fun. Pool was available for use 24/7 which was just wonderful. You can swim just before going to bed. The buffet breakfast was great too it can keep you satisfied until your next meal. The hotel dont replace soap, shampoo, water and dental kit on a daily basis unlike other hotels but you can request for this so this wont be a problem. Huge beds. Coffee/Tea making facilities is not available. You can request for the water heater pot and just buy 3-in-1 sachets. Great service too. Staff are courteous. They come at your door within minutes if you need anything. One of the best in Puerto Princesa. Some tricycle drivers tend to overcharge if they know you stay at Asturias.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Thanks to Dana, Victoria and Wilson for making my stay pleasant. Clean, reasonable size rooms. Quiet room even though hotel is near the main street. Reception organizes tours. No restaurant but restaurant Gillians next door serve good meals. Also many eateries closer to hotel. Breakfast was not bad. No buffet though. Would be nice if there is a fridge, safety deposit box and tea/ coffee making facility. Also a large desk and a bench to keep the luggage. Sure to stay next when I am in Puerto Princesa.

Enjoyed our stay at Ipil Suites Puerto Princesa which is nicely located in town off the main road near the airport, nice restaurants, and a few massage and spa places. Must check out Kalui restaurant for lunch or dinner!!! Front desk can make reservation for guests. You can comfortably walk to restaurant in ten mins or take a tricycle. We were told by staff that hotel about 6 years old, but it looks nicely maintained. We booked into a standard room with a double bed. Room was small and bathroom a bit cramped, but it was clean and comfortable. Hotel offers free buffet breakfast (served on the 4th floor) with good selections, also offers free WiFi, but were told that WiFi weak in guest rooms, better in Reception area. There is a nice pool, gym with a few exercise equipment, and a restaurant, all in the main level. We booked the Underground River Cruise through Ipil Suites and had a very early pick up of 630am, which was tight because their free buffet breakfast starts at 6am and hotel couldn't grant our late check out request. However, they were so nice to have our luggage stored and organised for us to be able to use a room to shower when we returned from the tour so we can be fresh and clean for our evening flight. We also came back earlier than expected from the tour, so we visited Venus Health Spa down the road to kill time. PPS airport only 3 minutes away, so we only wished the hotel had an airport shuttle available at least 7-7:30pm for those with late flight departures. Although airport shuttle is free, it is only available at specific times with only 6 trips scheduled through the day, the last one being 6pm. Unfortunately, PPS airport does not offer much, apart from seats and very few overpriced shops and it would have been good if we could have used those hours waiting at the airport to have an early dinner at some restaurant nearby before heading to the airport. I've traveled a fair amount, and I think that Paboreal may be my favorite place I've stayed, ever! As another review I read mentioned, it's an oasis of tranquility in the chaos of Puerto Princesa. I read quite a few reviews before choosing Paboreal, doing so mainly because so many people exclaimed about how helpful and gracious the staff are. I was not in the last bit disappointed! The owners went out of their way to introduce themselves and mentioned that their goal when deciding to open the hotel was to create a place where travelers would feel at home. They certainly achieved that goal! Their attention to detail is superb, proving that their ultimate desire is to run a traveler's paradise, rather than being in it just to make money. They were always ready to chat and give us advice on things to do and see in the area. They even gave our daughters small gifts when we left! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome, including small glasses of guava juice. Whenever we decided to use the beautiful pool, someone would immediately come out to set up the chairs and umbrellas for us. Then, they would bring out a tall, cold carafe of filtered water (complimentary), cups and pool towels. Any time we passed any of the hotel staff or the owners on the grounds, they always greeted us with a friendly hello and a smile. There was also complimentary bottled water in the rooms, something I haven't seen in other places I've stayed. As much as I love SE Asia, the heat and grime can be exhausting. Coming back to Paboreal after a day out and about felt like heaven! The whole hotel, including the rooms and pool, are immaculate, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. Being on a side street felt like a blessing, and was never a problem because while off the main drag, the hotel is still close to everything (including the airport) and the front desk staff were happy to call a tricycle to pick us up to take us anywhere we'd like to go. I really enjoyed my stay with Casañas Suites. I didn’t expect much since I paid less amount of money than in most hotels but I’m pleasantly surprise with the place. From checking in to checking out, everything went without a glitch. They even gave a glass of juice upon arriving which I appreciated because of the heat. Location-wise, it’s situated near the city so going in and out was easy. The staff made sure that I had a comfortable stay. They made me feel welcome and safe which is a plus point in my book. Another thing that I like about the place is that they have a generator in case there were power interruptions. Overall, it’s a great place to stay and I’m surely going back! We Travellers waz a great base for us in Puerto Princesa. But the first thing I really want to point out is do not be deceived by the name! It may be called We Travellers but it is no shabby backpackers den.... it is a really good modern and great looking budget hotel... and even though we were back pavking ourselves this felt like luxury! Yes a couple of hangers or shelves would help, but other than that great place, do not hesitate to book it.

This was just what I needed. I was traveling solo, and arrived in Puerto Princesa pretty late, and had an early morning underground river tour the next day. The reception was very professional and helpful, and accommodating to my late check in & early check out. Also it's nearly walking distance from the airport on the main road, which was super convenient, and far enough away from the busy downtown area. Room are small but had a good size bed, was immaculately clean, had hot water, and excellent wifi. Would highly recommend it!
