I am glad i chose Cosi for a few first nights in Samui. The location is a dream right next to big shopping Mall and main street where you just step out to the left and everything are there:foods/bars/shops/massages/entertainment...you name it.. Also Cosi is not too far from the tourist spots like Big Buddha Temple/Wat Plai Laem/the Jungle Club.. Overall Pro: location/very nice staffs/price are totally affordable/nice clean room.. Con: I stayed on floor 1 (downstairs from the reception) and i can hear the live music from the night market quite clear,like you have a neighbor singing karaoke upstairs till midnight.So if you are not a person with noise please ask for room on top or so. Also my bathroom have a bit of sewer smell came out once a while even though its very new and clean. There are no telephone in the room so if you need anything you can’t just call from your room. But overall I highly recommend Cosi for your first Samui trip if you like to be at the center of everything with affordable pricing and a cosi clean room (sewer smell need to go) and very Nice Staffs. Friendly staff, convenient location, good breakfast with both Western and Thai food. The only issue (and its not with the property itself) is that there is a club that plays heavy bass dance music until the early morning. Ear plugs don't really help because of the low tones. If you have trouble sleeping with outside noise, Chaweng is probably not the Koh Samui city to stay. It is definitely more of the party town.

First time we visited Samui,and Samui Verti color is very good hotel I would recommend.There has a very good staff,they all friendly,efficient work job done(I had no problem with check in and out quickly) The hotel provided everything you need,tower beach you can get at the pool .Their breakfast you can pick from 4sets (tasted good:)) the hotel located just about250m away from the public beach.The swimming pool is charming not too deep perfect with children can play too.there has 7/11,family mart near that you can reached.Even we are 3Thai people in the whole building around with foreigner guests but this hotel not treat us different ,Very impressive with this trip .Enjoy your stay!!

OZO is a great property on great beach in Samui. It's not going to wow you with excellent design or excellent food, but it does what it does very well. We booked at the OZO because it was centrally located in the shopping area and on the beach, plus it's just a 10 minute taxi to the airport. We only did one night, but we could have easily done 3 or 4. The rooms are very modern, which is cool but I would generally prefer something a bit more Thai. OZO could be a hotel on any beach anywhere in the world, nothing about this place says "I'm in Thailand." But it is very clean, very safe. They do a good job taking care of this property, it's a great place to relax. The pool is maybe one of the best in the area. It's massive, very stylish and has a lot of people frollicking about. The beach at OZO is really outstanding. The sand on Samui is even softer than the sand on Tao and Phangan, even softer than the sand at Koh Phi Phi. Ozo has lots of beach chairs about, it would be an excellent place to grab a book and a Singha and straight post up for the entire day. The location nearby is great. Tons of restaurants and places to shop. We really recommend this place!

Pros - new, very clean rooms and bathrooms - great location in the middle of Chaweng - nice swimming pool and lovely beach - great if you are looking to party with a group of friends - hotel manager ( a lovely girl )reception staff and cleaners very helpfull and friendly Cons - very loud in the evenings - people are partying in the rooms and hotel staff doesnt do anything about it so if you are looking for some quiet time you will not find it there - restaurant staff speaks very little english so its a challange to order anything - lots of mistakes due to language barrier - don’t get breakfast there if you are not looking to eat noodles and chinese food for breakfast - plenty better places around serving also european breakfast - if you are traveling with young kids DO NOT book this hotel - they will not be able to sleep during the night - hotel full of people from China and Israel so if you are looking for more european place and relax you wont find it there

I stayed as a group of 4 female friends in our 20's. The hotel is fabulous, staff polite and helpful upon arrival. It is only a short distance from the airport if you get a taxi from Samui airport. We had 2 rooms on the hillside part of the hotel. The rooms are very large, especially the bathrooms! One small problem with the air con leaking but staff were quick to attend and resolve this. Buffet breakfast is lovely with a great choice. The concierge arranged several trips for us and also some dinner reservations, always happy to help and get the best for you. We ate lunch several times at the poolside by the beach, great location, great choice of food, reasonably priced. The beach is beautiful although if you arrive later in the day you are unlikely to get a sun lounger in the sun. Walk along the beach for lots of Thai massage on the beach for reasonable prices and restaurants on the beach. You can walk into town, nicer to go along the beach or the hotel run a free bus every hour. In summary an excellent hotel, brilliant facilities and beautiful setting.

Samui First house is located at the far south end of Chaweng, but it is still close enough to all the action if you would like to walk 20 to 30 minutes to the central area of the beach. There are jeepneys rolling by the hotel complex all the time so it's easy to get anywhere you want to go. There are also a few restaurants nearby within closer walking distance. There are a couple of massage places to choose from on the hotel grounds. The hotel breakfast is buffet English style with lots of fresh fruit served until 10AM. My only real complaint about my stay here is that the scooter touts got a little annoying by the end of the week, but I suppose that happens everywhere you go along Chaweng. Overall, I was very satisfied with the hotel and was happy to be far enough from central Chaweng so I wouldn't have to listen to the recurring Muay Thai boxing announcements along the main road.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mercure. We normally wouldn't have spent $60+ USD per night, but accommodations just seemed to be more expensive in Samui and the price was worth it given the quality of the hotel. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn't included in the booking and it cost ~420 THB for both of us. The selection is fairly wide, with both North American and Thai choices. There is also an omelette station; they will come to your table to take your order. The garden courtyard is really beautiful and a wonderful place to start the day for breakfast. The hotel itself is very modern and tastefully decorated, with a nice water/pond feature between the lobby and the rooms. Our room was great - we really liked the beachy decor and the large/open shower. The shower drain was draining slowly, but it was quickly remedied when mentioned to the front desk. We prefer firm beds, so we enjoyed the bed here and had 3 great nights of sleep! The location is pretty good - it's a bit far from the places we wanted to get to, but there is an unofficial/small path access to Samui beach that is literally 3 minutes away. Unfortunately, we didn't discover it until our last day and were surprised that the staff didn't let us know about it. Speaking of staff, they weren't as friendly/helpful as we were used to. We asked for an airport drop-off and the one lady said it would normally cost 400 THB but that they would call the taxi and negotiate on our behalf for a rate of 300 THB. However, when we returned later in the afternoon, there was another lady at the counter and our taxi was outside expecting 400 THB. Thankfully, the door man overheard our conversation and negotiated down to 300 THB. Overall, had a pleasant stay.

Ploen is located very close to the main road but far enough for the noise not to be a problem. The room is not big but the furniture is so properly managed that it feels spacious. It is also very clean, kind of new, and with pantry including sink, dishes, cuttlery and a microwave. It is very close to the beach, however the public access is like 5 minutes walking. If you dare, you can always cross through some other resort. It is really just around the corner. You can also follow the road up to Central Festival Samui. A bit further, but a pleasant walk full of shops. The pool is a bit awkward as it is located on the Cafe and the sky pool is more like a jacuzzi, but that shouldn't stop you from relaxing on it a bit. Internet is free, fast and reliable, which is a plus. The staff is very friendly, with good english skills and willing to help. Stayed for more than a week and not a single problem was found. It is a pleasant stay, very good place, good located and, yes, with pantry. I would come back if travelling to Samui :-)

This was my second time staying at the hotel and it was even better than the first time. Staff were just too great. They tried to give us a hand as possible as they could. Location is good for the one who can't ride motorbike like us and for the party animal like us as well. Everything was great except for one, this time wi-fi at the hotel wasn't working and that made their rate lower. Anyway, I recommend this hostel and hotel for anyone who wants to party all night, tries to find accommodation in the best location, or wants to save their budgets but still need the hostel or hotel in the city. This hostel and hotel would probably suit those just fine. By the way, for those who try to find peaceful place, this hostel and hotel wouldn't be recommended because its surrounding is full of party places and that leads to loud noises all night from their electro, house, and hip-hop music. As for us, it was fine and we can always get some sleep even there's a loud music around us anyway so this place is perfect for us. Let's go to samui, yeah!!

My 2nd trip to KoSamui. Stayed 4 night this time and absolutely loved it. Despite the weather was windy and cloudy during the stay(luckily no rain) we spent our time discovering the island . With no doubt the best hotel staff during our Thai trip. Very friendly and helpful with some awesome tips and recommendations. We arrived on friday and been suggested to visit Fishermans village. That was really awesome as the market takes place only on fridays. Great recommendation for Thai food restaurant and things to see around the island(loved the Jungle club,waterfalls,etc). Hotel itself is 10 minutes walk from Ark bar and in pretty quiet area. Breakfast included was alright.Familymart and 7eleven next door. Good place to rent a scooter 30 meters up the street. Only downside was internet connection in the room,but that`s pretty much the case all around the island.It worked good in the reception/restaurant area though. Overall great stay!!

I've stayed at the Chaweng Budget Hotel now a few times during my many years of visiting Koh Samui. I've shopped around for various other hotels over the years, but I always seem to find myself wanting to come back to the Chaweng Budget Hotel. For one thing, the hotel is in a good location. South Chaweng is, to my mind, the best part of Chaweng Beach. You get away from the crowds and the noise, and yet you can get down to the busy strip easily enough if you want to. The beach itself is also much better for swimming at this end, and it's generally just a nicer area overall. The staff at the Chaweng Budget Hotel are always friendly. Each time I stay, it feels like coming home. The rooms are clean and well-attended, and they still offer one of the best breakfasts on the entire strip for this kind of money. Plus, you get to use the health and pool facilities of its sister hotel. All in all, it's hard to beat the Chaweng Budget Hotel for this kind of money.

We stayed only one night 2 rooms at Pandora, Mr Ilari is a very nice person being very helpful and show us everything in the hotel. We rent 2 bikes with Pandora to explore the island. Very convenient. Staff at Pandora is very accommodating, my boys love the breakfast serve at Pandora. Their comment on our overall 6 days hotel stay in Koh Samui Pandora is the best. Highly recommended ...

First Residence Koh Samui was better than I expected. Their logo says "Budget Luxury" so I anticipated a cheap hotel that pretends (on the surface) to be a luxury accomodation with worn down cheap materials and poor standard, but I was wrong. I suggest the hotel change their logo to "Affordable luxury". The location was ideal with free parking under the house, big room with balcony, well equipped with everything you need. Big comfortable bed, clean bathroom (also very clean bathtub!), rich and tasty breakfast, lovely pool with jacuzzi, free beach blanket and access to free sunbeds on the beach, free safety lockers in he reception - and very friendly staff. We had a very pleasant stay and I can strongly recommend it.

My friends and me had a great time in Koh Samui. The island is beautiful and there's plenty of fun stuff to do. But what made our time in Samui even more special was our stay at The Samui Beach Residence. The hotel is located close to the beach and yet comfortably far (700 mts to 1km) from the noisy nightlife Samui has to offer. The Hotel owners Mr. Pascal and Mrs. Cherylle were delightful hosts. They made sure that our stay was memorable and fun. They gave us all the essential information a tourist needs about Samui. Our rooms were the best part of our stay in Samui. Tastefully furnished and comfortably set. The rooms were kept neat and tidy. And we would always look forward to coming back to the room after long days and late nights in Samui. The Hotel provides free wifi to its customers but unlike most other hotels, the Wifi is super fast. The hotel boasts a variety of different breakfasts including a Halal breakfast. The food (breakfast or otherwise) was plentiful and really tasty. The hotel is located in a safe locality with a 24/7 department store just 20 yards from the lobby. There's a big shopping mall 5 mins walk from the hotel. And all best pubs, restaurants and nightlife are just 10 mins by walk. This hotel is what all hotels should strive to be like. Thank you for the wonderful time we had in Samui Mr. Pascal and Mrs. Cherylle. :)

For the money, it's well worth it. The building/rooms are old, but the staff do their best to keep it clean. The staff is very nice as well. This area of Chaweng Beach in my opinion is the best. You can walk to everything in Chaweng from here. I only wish the people visiting would not litter so much, and that the hotels would all clean the beaches each day, the beach is becoming a mess over the years now, worse and worse. My favorite staff at the hotel was the front office girl, i think her name was "Nong" or something, she was young, and does Muay Thai... Great worker, deserves a bonus raise. - Thank you all for a great stay.

The Chaweng Beach Hotel is a no frills hotel and is a good spot if you are looking for something clean and cheap in Samui. There is no pool and no restaurant. A small breakfast offered, but I went for brekkie at the cafe down the road instead. The staff was really nice and they spoke English well enough that there was no confusion when checking in/out or when I had questions. The room was big and clean, a bit out dated but for the price totally acceptable. Internet is an extra cost and worked well, it's not the greatest but it's certainly not terrible either. They have a security guard at night as do most of the hotels in in the area. There is a taxi stand right outside of the hotel if you need a ride somewhere or back to the airport. The only thing that I found slightly odd was payment with credit card. I ended up booking another 2 nights there and payed directly to the hotel. They made it seem like the credit card machine was not working, but it was as I insisted on paying by credit card. If they ask you to pay cash, or go to the cash machine across the street.. don't. The machine works. I assume they prefer cash rather than paying the credit card fees. Overall, a great experience!

Maybe the outside ihasnot alot of atmosphere but the room is great. The shower is big/fabulous and can get Very very hot. Separate toilet. The bed kingsize very good not hard...the other bed ( single) also good. So you have an kingbed and a singlebed at the room. Lots of towels all kind of sizes, even there are 2 large towels for the poobeds or beach ( Blue Lagoon ). I went to the Blue Lagoon beach.....you can buy food and drinks by the beachventers in the middle of Blue Lagoon and The Amari, good price of cours. TV great very very large size... lost of channels all internation some Thai channels to. The Wifi is pretty fast for Thailand. The reception good ...need them only for check in and out. I am very familiar at Samui. Restaurant Sala Thai around the corner surprises me and your next door of Prego famous Italian restaurant at Koh Samui. You can walk to the center, bars and shoppingmall ( Central Festival ). Iff u come for the room, pool, location and price its great

The Go Samui hotel represents great value and offered us a two bedroom unit at a great Agoda price. We also booked this hotel because it is at least a klm from the main streets and nightlife of Chaweng. Unfortunately, this became a bit of a negative as the taxi services hold you to ransom and the tuk-tuks represent no better value when you have 4 in your group. Taxi prices are more expensive than Melbourne and drivers refuse to turn their meters on. The value is hiring motorscooters but my wife and girls do not have the confidence to try them, seeing people walking around swathed in bandages does little to convince them to give it a go. The hotel itself was fantastic, and despite not having a food facility there are good restaurants and bars around it. The Anong cafe 3 doors down was a particular favorite of ours with A grade food at reasonable prices. Our room did not have tea and coffee making facilities provided, my wife enquired at the desk and a kettle and cups were quickly produced. This was our first visit to Samui and it is a very impressive holiday destination but be aware it's not as easy to walk around as somewhere like Patong. Be prepared to pay a lot of money on taxis and tuk-tuks. I did not see a bus in the 6 days we were there, the island appears to need a good bus service to put some competitive pressure on the greedy taxi and tuk-tuk operators who have the tourists stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Stayed at bhundhari for 2 days after checking out from another hotel. Had a beach front private pool villa which was outstanding. Very well maintained by the staff. Memories worth remwmbering from the time we got the pick up from another hotel to bhundhari. Location: At chaweng.. Not even 5mins drive to the main chaweng area. Big Buddha is also 5 mins drive from the resort but in other direction from chaweng main street. A perfect place for relaxing as well as partying. Facilities: Services at its finest. The pick up to the hotel and to the airport. The staff is very helful always with a smiling face. The resort is spread along 2 sides of the main road. If u r staying in rooms close to the beach then they always have a golf cart ready in 2 3 mins. The beach restraunt is nice along with the common pool with good music playing around throughout the day. The private pool is accesible from the room itself. And the beat part is the lightings. The view is mesmirising at night as well during the day. The lights in the pool allows to have agood swim during night hours as well. Bathroom is huge with a jacuzzi facing the pool and the beach. The sun beds are also comfortable enough besides the private pool. Had an awesome experience. A big thanks to Mr.Babu who was very friendly and attended to all our needs. You just think of something and Mr.Babu has the answer to it. From the time we checked in till we checked out throughout our stay he made sure that we had a comfortable stay. Hotel can arrange the car or bike if you want to drive along. Food: Buffet breakfast was perfect with a vast variety. Also the lunch dinner and snacks were good. Room service avilable also you can enjoy the food next to the beach. Conclusion: A perfect resort. Will definetly recommend bhundhari to anybody visiting koh samui.

i stayed at a 4 and 5 star resort on the same holiday in samui. although boutique resorts are great , to look at the op bungalow i think i will stay there next time.. you still get great service, everything is cheaper. no taxis to get to and from anywhere. the rooms ( bungalows) are great,.. bungalows are better than any high rise wih a spa. as long as you dont need room service and free breakfast, i did my homework and think this is the best choice !! . i went during quiet time and reckon it is better than peak season.. thanks guys.

We booked here for 3 nights and ended up staying 6 more nights paid through the hotel. Small hotel with spacious bungalow style rooms with lots of light and nicely gardened areas around rooms. Rooms sit off the road so nice and quiet at night. Pool was nice with shade and sun options for lounging and a few tabled areas for sitting and eating. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Laundry by the kilo available onsite. Hotel also has some long stay options with microwave and dining area plus 2 awesome villa style rooms with living room areas and small private pools. Onsite parking area also. The only negatives we would say were some areas had spotty or weak Wi-Fi and only limited TV channels but we rarely used anyway. Some areas of the property are in need of updating or repair but this can be expected of almost any smaller hotel in Thailand. None of these things affected our stay and did not include any of the daily use areas of the property. Especially considering this was on the lower end of the prices for hotel with a pool it was a spectacular bargain and we will happily stay again

For tailor, go to Moda Milan International Suits and see Rooney (nicest guy you'll meet). The shop is around five minutes walk towards Chaweng shopping precinct (Burger King etc.) on the left hand side of the road. Down that same side street, you will find internet cafe (1BHT/min) who are also able to do tour bookings - see Chicken (English translation for his real name!). Be sure to book yourself onto the Jungle Safari - though attempt to bargain them down. Originally 1,700BHT, I got for 1,500BHT and a mate was able to bargain another agent down to 1,100BHT! At the end of this side road is the Ark Bar - best eatery in Samui-a must try. Also, nearby on the other side of the road you will find Martin's Place - small, friendly & tasty eatery with Italian and Thai cuisine. The people of Samui rock! If you can be in Samui for the Full Moon Party, do it. But hit Koh Phangnan for the party itself. Bus/speedboat transfers between Samui and Koh Phangnan are easily arranged at around 600 Baht.
