"Really enjoyed our time here. Good cocktails. Fantastic food options and nice spacious clean rooms. The staff at the restaurant are amazing and very helpful. Can say the most friendly inventive staff we came across in the whole 3 weeks in Philippines. We booked an underground river tour though the Astoria travel guide team and that was not so good. Not clear with itinerary and I found the person we where dealing with a little rude and abrupt in her manner. We had to change the day of the tour because both husband and I where feeling unwell with stomach bug so arranged the day before to change the date to the following day. We where made feel pretty bad with wanting to change the day and it wasn’t an easy. We had to pay extra for the changing the day (which I understand if park feee are involved) we had no idea that the zip line was an adventure zip line with rock climbing involved until we actually got there! Thought we where doing the relaxed zip line over the water. "

"Daluyon sent a friendly, English-speaking safe driver to meet us at the airport. Staff was lovely: informative and very helpful. All rooms face the ocean; room was clean and spacious. Only a few TV stations, but who cares? The food was delicious and reasonably priced considering the remote location. Restaurant is charming. Tours and guides were very good. Much better to stay here to visit the Underground River and Ugong Rock than traveling 2 hours from Puerto Princesa. Overall wonderful experience, highly recommended hotel."

"Had a fantastic but to short stay here on Jan 1-3, 2015. Met at the Puerto Princesa airport by a smiling Rosalie and Andre (owners/operators, speak English, French, German and Tagalog that we heard) they transported us to the Cottages (approx 1.5hrs with a stop at a viewpoint for photos) so that we could settle in. be prepared for a bit of a roller coaster ride, Andre drives like he means it and the road is quite windy. You'll arrive to short climb up the rock walkway and into the main open air hut which has the reception desk, eating area and kitchen. The kitchen is where the magic happens as Rosalie makes some amazing food! She was more than willing to accommodate the vegetarian in our group and made probably the best veggie curry soup we've ever had! we were travelling with 4 people, 2 stayed in a private cottege (queen sized bed, mosquito net, fan, bathroom and shower in the room) while 2 of us stayed in the budget accommodations (single bunk bed, small table and a fan). The Budget accommodations also had a shared area for toilets (2 stalls) and showers (2 stalls). Even with the resort completely booked I never had to wait to use the facilities. Bambua took care of organizing our permits and fees for our tour to the UnderWater River and to the Mangrove Tour, it was all included in the price for our stay. As an added bonus, Manisha (Rosalie and Andre's daughter) accompanied us to the mangrove tour and then showed us the best place to eat and get a massage on the Beach!! For under $100CDN, we got 2 nights accommodation, dinners, breakfasts, Underwater River and Mangrove Forest Tours, transport to and from PP and Andre reserved our bus tickets from PP to El Nido for us. Bambua was a fantastic stay and our group would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Sabang!! cheers, Amy, Erin, Kate and Ali from Canada"

"To be honest, before coming here, after reading the reviews, I was dreading it a bit. FEAR NOT for les than 20$ a night, this was a GREAT choice. The property is right on the beach, within a walking distance to the Mangrove Lake and the port, where you get permits for the subterranean caves. The room is spacious enough. We had 2 wide single beds. no AC, but you don't really need one, because there's a nice breeze from the ocean and a vent that will work at night. Electricity is from 6pm till 6am only. Use it to charge ur gadgets :) Running water in the sink and the shower, though only one temperature. Toilet is manually flushed. There's a table and a chair inside the room and on the porch. Mirror and hangers for clothes, that can be used on the laundry line on ur porch. Only one hook in the room. You get towels and toilet paper, and if you run out of it, you can ask for more. We had bed and breakfast. The restaurant has a nice variety of dishes and there's a bar. They take time to make the food, but what's the rush, we are on vacation :) We've booked a guide to the monkey trail and paid for the guide and the permit 300 php each. If you want to do the subterranean caves too, it's 600 php each. You can find these guides on the beach. Ask the locals and don't be afraid to haggle a bit. If you are not into a 7 km jungle walk, you can take the boat from the harbor or book one way boat and one way trail. **only two cons here There are mosquito nets on top of the bed. I have opened mine and had to attack it with perfume because it stank so bad. In the bathroom, there are no shelves to put stuff on. Seems like there were, once upon a time and it wasn't fixed. "

"Dab Dab cottages are a dream-native in style and comfortable in size. Would recommend to anyone seeking tranquility. They are located close to the underground river pier-looking onto the see to your left. There is a stunning wooden restaurant with free wi-fi. Cottages have fans and mosquito nets-perfect as there is fresh sea breeze. The cottages are comfortable and bathrooms are large. Put toilet paper in toilet bins as sewage system is not the best. There are hammocks to chill out outside on the porch. I stayed in a family size cottage and so had plenty of room. Booked via agoda. There is a simple beach hut beauty parlour where a pedicure is 100 peso and 1.15 min full body massage will cost you 400 peso. Expect to pay around 300-400 for breakfast. Our room key did not really lock the cottage but Sabang is a quiet area and it did not pose any problems. Lexus bus terminal, where you can book your bus journey is very near to Dab Dab-like everything -sabang is small. Enjoy your stay!"

"This is a really phantastic eco resort on Palawan in the middle of the rain forrest. We booked a villa with large veranda overlooking the rain forrest and the bay. A phantastic view. One day even monkeys climbed in the trees just in front of our room. Fresh spring water for drinking is provided every day for free. Hiking trails through the forrest and down to the mangroves and the beach are located on the hotels ground. The staff is friendly, even organizing a birthday surprise cake for my fincee. Tours are organized even on short notice. The only disadvantage is that no warm water is available in the shower. However, we spent phantastic days and I can recommend this resort for any nature lovers."
