Find hotels in White Sand Beach

We've just had an amazing 4 night stay at The Erawan Koh Chang and would definitely recommend it. We booked a Deluxe Sea View and from arriving on Christmas Eve, to departing on the 28th December, our stay there was perfect. The hotel is in an ideal location in White Sand Beach and great for touring the rest of the island. The facilities are really good and the pool/sky bar have amazing views, especially at sunset. These views are not to be missed! Another reason to stay here.......the staff! They are the most welcoming, professional and friendliest team we have seen in any hotel. Every single staff member had a smile and a greeting at any point, day or night and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to Henry Lim, General Manager and the team at The Erawan. Banpu is a good hotel. Rooms are VERY clean, the staff is attentive and helpful and the restaurant is good. So why, then, do I feel so little enthusiasm about writing this review? The hotel did all it was supposed to do - but I wasn't thrilled. Balcony views of the sea (which are only available from 2nd floor rooms) were obstructed by the bungalows in the middle of the complex. Very hard and uncomfortable wooden chairs on the balcony didn't invite lingering or evening cocktails. The breakfast every morning was fine - some dishes were even excellent (Tom Kha soup!) - but it was not inspirational (and we had to send back omelets all the time for being under-cooked... enthusiastic chefs, I guess). The best part of the place were the chaises arranged beneath some lovely trees with perfect views of the small white sand beach, unfortunately you had to be up early in the morning to stake one out (by placing a towel on it) and if you were late, well tough! We did observe one amusing, if slightly disturbing, near-brawl between two female guests - how about a few more chairs?? This hotel is at the very end of the White Sand Beach so there wasn't very much beach at all most of the time (we were there during very high tides at the new moon) - but a very pleasant stroll will get you to more beach-y sand if you need that sort of thing... I was quite happy parked on my chaise in the shade!! Would I recommend this place? Yes - so long as you don't get up high hopes for a truly romantic get-away. There are a couple bungalows which look VERY nice (number 101 and 102) which are slightly away from the center of the complex, and they have private balconies which open directly onto the beach. I'd definitely spring for one of those if I were going again!! (all the other bungalows are on the footpaths to the hotel, so sitting on the porch is a public event)

Location of the hotel is a short ride from the ferry. The area in which the hotel is located is the best place I would stay just out of convenience to eateries, shops, 7-11 and massage parlors. Also to my knowledge this is one of the few hotels on white sand beach that actually has beach property to bask in the sun and sip drinks. The bad thing is this hotel is right next to the Sabai Bar club which has a live band that thumps loud music until a little after midnight. If you get assigned a room on that side of the hotel plan on going to bed after midnight. Wifi sucks in the rooms. I had to go to the lobby or to the coffee shop across the street to get a good strong signal. Considering there's not much you can do during the periods of torrential rain down pours, you would want to have a strong signal in your room to pass the time. Oh, because it rains be prepared to be eaten by Mosquitos at night. The hotel does nothing to mitigate the mosquito population. Surprised there is no Denghe fever there. If you're into seclusion than book a stay at one of the other hotels away from white sand beach. Breakfast at the hotel is mediocre, pretty much same menu everyday. Dining at the hotel in the evening should be done once. They set up candle lit tables on the beach but the food isn't the greatest and don't order the steak they don't know how to cook it. Overall, I stayed 3 nights and wouldn't go longer than that and I will probably not visit Koh Chang again.

Nice clean hotel with huge room and very spacious bathroom. Prime location on main road along White Sand Beach so no need to hike. If you find name of the hotel quite mouthfull you can ask to be dropped at Chester Grill or Buffallo Bill Steakhouse since this hotel is right next door. The price might not be suitable for penny pincher backpackers but we enjoyed our two days stay in here. The only drawback is that it's located right across Sabay Bar so it can be quite noisy at night, but with one cheap earplug it should be no problem.

The Hotel is exactly opposite the the beach if you take the beach side. There are two parts of the hotel- beach side and hill side. Its better if you opt for the Beach side as the cost difference is not much and the view from these rooms are awesome and all of these are pool+beach facing. Breakfast was good. The wifi was not so good but that should not be a concern for anyeone while choosing any hotel(My past exp says all hotels have bad wifi). The cleanliness of the rooms could have been better but i still say it was not bad at all.Additionally for anyone who likes Indian Food, there is a restaurant just opposite to this hotel which server really tasty Indian cuisines. Recommended for anyone who wants to stay in Koh-Chang at White Sand beach. Enjoy!

It was so nice here, we booked for 7 nights but stayed 12, it was fab. The hotel is in a great location, it partners itself with the Lagoon Resort so you share the facilities of this hotel, which are great and it is directly opposite. The rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh sheets and towels, the housekeeping staff are lovely. The room was a good size with a balcony. It is right in the heart of White Sand Beach so the location could not be any better. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially when we wanted to extend our stay.

It is very close to the beautiful white sand beach and has wonderful rooms. Big bathrooms and an entry to the beach. The beach on that side is a little bit Rocky, but if you walk like 2 more minutes to the north of white sand beach, you will have the most beautiful beach by your side. It is a new hotel, with a small bar in front of the hotel. The prices are very good and I would recommend to stay there. The only thing that we didn't like we're ants in the rooms, even though we had 2 different rooms for 2 different nights, in both have been ants. first in the bathtub and in the other room on the bed. But that's all.

Very beautiful, calm and quiet place, it was excellent to stay here. It's possible to have breakfast, lunch and dinner in Saffron restaurant itself, in street cafe on the main road (about 3 min by feet). Also there are two big supermarkets (Big C and Tesco) near Saffron. Very delicious Tom Yum! The nearest beach is very quiet and small, but it's pebbly (on the Koh Chang map it's called Pearl Beach). Beware if you don't like pebble, but it's very good choice if you don't like crowds. White Sand Beach is rather far, about 3 km. We can't use motobike, so we had to go by feet or by songteo. Use the mosquito repellent, there are a lot of mosquitos (but I think this is common problem of Thailand and other southern countries). Also we see a lot of lizards and Huntsman spider in the bathroom (beware if you have arachnofobia). But they don't bother us, they live there - of course, consider that you're nearly in the jungle :) This is excellent place if you don't like crowds and night life, for quiet rest. I highly recommend.

stayed here for 5 days over an extended vacation in thailand and loved it. it is in a great location to everything else in white sand beach. the staff is incredibly friendly and even helped us setup a snorkel tour. the hotel decor is exceptionally hip-asian design. the best part of the hotel over all this is the infinity pool. it was perfect to visit after a long day at the beach. i have stayed at a number of different places in thailand and this was absolutely my favorite.

Amazing location, right overlooking the water. White Sand beach was beautiful, lovely for swimming in. Lots of restaurants in the area, easy to arrange day trips and activities. Hotel was clean and comfortable (shower water was not always hot but the weather was so warm that it wasn't a problem). Keep in mind that you have to walk along the beach to reach the hotel, which may be an issue for those with lots of heavy luggage.

We booked four nights and stayed three more. The owners are very helpful and recommend trips, beaches, restaurants etc. The whole place is very clean with small ponds and a lot of sculptures. Our room had an enormous,lovely bathroom and outside was a nice sitting place. There was a relax area close to the breakfast tables. The breakfast was nice and the coffee a big good tasting pot. A short drive by bike to White sand beach and a little longer to Chai Chet beach. Nice restaurant Sanae with good cheap food next door, we recommend pad thai and spring rolls. Cheap laundry on the other side of the road.

Easy to find - rigth in the beginning of white sands beach. Nice looking building (there is construction just next door, but not disturbing at all), friendly staff (good english) checked us in. Room was just like on the pictures. Must be quite new or it felt like it for sure. Rooms are clean, and cleaned every day. Bathroom perhaps one thing that could be bit nicer, but the room is already in higher price range in my opinion (cost less that it could). We drove around looking for options and finally decided to extend our stay for the whole time here. No option was near this. Beach is nearby (1 min walk), also all other facilities are. Would definitely look to return here when in Koh Chang again.
